Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Vinton, IA

Would like for the front vestibule door key code lock to be activated/used/locked at night instead of hotel front entrance totally unlocked all night!

It was ok. Tiny towels. Dingy room. I got a king suite thinking king suite. It was just a regular king room with a tiny jacuzzi in it. But the worst was breakfast. Cold biscuits cold gravy. No cups for milk. It was awful.

It was okay but a little tired. Breakfast was luke warm, ice machine was broke, bathroom faucet was not fastened down to the cabinet. Staff was friendly - it suited us okay for what we needed and not driving to Cedar Rapids.

The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and hallways were clean. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was simple, but with enough choices to meet my needs (e.g., eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, toast, muffins, apples, oranges). Be aware that there is no elevator. This wasn't a problem for me but might be for someone else.

We got the hot tub room for our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything was great except for the hot tub. The water was brown even after letting it run for 30 minutes. We filled the tub once and it left a brown tub ring. We decided not to risk it and didn't use it.

Generally clean but the hand towel had been used and there was a glob of toothpaste in the sink. Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking.

No shower curtain

I hated that there was no elevator on the property. It was very hard lugging bags up and down the stairs to our room. Also, the front door is locked at 10pm and you have to use the back door - while carrying luggage. The people were nice, the rooms are clean and its great for a 1-2 night stay.

Located in a small town but a very nice hotel! Quiet and clean and friendly staff. Only issue is someone has their EV plugged in and the cord is running over the sidewalk with no signs to indicate a tripping hazard. ⚠️

When I originally went to book this property, I did so through the website and signed up to be a member in order to get the discounted price. The website wasn’t working. So I called directly, and they would only give me the max rate, even when stating I was a member. So I booked through Travelocity for the cheaper price. I would have chosen a different hotel if one was available. Upon my arrival, after check in, the curtains were missing the pull rod. The remote needed new batteries, and the room didn’t look clean enough, but I didn’t complain as I got in, with my children, at 1am. Sleep was necessary. Breakfast was offered in the morning, but not a great variety and the apple juice dispenser was out of order. Had to purchase apple juice for an additional charge. Laundry is also additional in fee, $2 for wash and $2 to dry. Clothes do not dry completely. When the city flushed the lines, they did not give guests notice to run water to remove the rust. So it was quit the surprise going to take a shower and the water ran brown. Upon checking out, I stripped the beds, only to find that the mattress cover had a spot of dried blood at the head of the bed. Whoever stayed in the room before me had a bloody nose or something. I did bring all of the above to the attention of the manager, but only and apology was offered.

I love this place. The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The front desk person was very helpful and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It was also nice and quiet. I will stay there again.

Our room smelled like urine, the towels had holes in them. When we pulled the covers down the sheets were filled with spots and indescribable stains.

While the staff was amazing and my room was very clean, it was a bit outdated and the furniture was very, very scratched and beat up. I could certainly hear every footstep from the room above me.

The toilet made a very loud and long noise like a high pitched whistle. The air conditioning made a very loud noise every time it kicked in the kept me up all night. The breakfast served in the morning was extremely disappointing, and I wasn’t even expecting much, but none of us could eat any of it because it was so bad.

We didn't make our own coffee in the room because there's always a hot coffee in the main lobby. The breakfast is very basic make your own waffle, some mini varieties muffins, bananas, apples, and apple juice situated in a small space next to the check-in office.

The room was alright. The provided breakfast as well. I had a two day stay originally for my daughter's graduation from AmeriCorps but had to leave after the graduation so we'll be fore the checkout time, at around 10AM, I turned in my room keys and canceled my room for the 2nd day. I was told it was cancelled and that the refund request was sent back to Expedia. I asked for a printout of the confirmation and was told that was impossible because it was sent back to Expedia. That made me suspicious right there but there was nothing I could do. I came back about ten minutes later and again asked for some type of confirmation at all for my room cancellation, again I was refused one. I called Expedia today, over 24 hours after I cancelled my room to confirm my cancellation of the second day went through. They contacted this hotel and they denied my checking out early. (Not to my surprise.) Expedia refunded the cost to me because of my status with them, but I am terribly disappointed with the hotel staff and management not being professional on this issue. I am VERY glad I waited to do this review until after I got confirmation, or otherwise, of the second day cancellation. So the hotel is getting the review they earned. It's a pity. Moral of the story, don't trust the staff on cancellations UNLESS they give you a confirmation copy and email. ***Hotel, please correct your discrepencies and be honest. Your duplicity made an otherwise good stay into a terrible disappointment.

Quiet hotel, located close to anything you'd need with helpful staff.

The staff is always amazing we stay here for our staycations and always love our stay!

I stayed one night in this hotel. I am a smoker who went outside to smoke but they charged me $282.50 saying that I smoked in the room because the housekeeper smelled smoke (which was probably on my clothes) and there was ashes on the windowsill (which the screen was broken and fixed with electrical tape). I would not recommend this hotel at all!

Stayed there for a baseball tournament. It was quite and a nice place to stay.

We came here to run a local race. Good place, had all we needed.

We stayed for a wedding and it met our needs. It is very basic, but the property and rooms are decently cared for. There is a very nice park across the street. It even has a splash pad!

We stay here often and am always happy. I do wish the city would put in a sidewalk between the hotel and Kwik Trip, but we’re always happy when we stay here :)

Room was clean but had some places needing repair. Breakfast was disappointing

The hotel and staff were good, no complaints there but the continental breakfast was horrible, eggs and sausage were dried out from just setting in the heated pan, no syrup for waffles no apple or orange juice and didn’t see anyone to ask for anything

Neglect of breakfast area.went to eat out of pancake mix, low eggs and sausage. Coffee pots not kept full. Several of us left without eating Today-Sunday. Staff friendly when checking in and asked several times if things ok or if we needed anything

Perfect for a quick stay. Breakfast wasn’t amazing, especially with celiac disease, but that’s not unexpected. Would stay again!
