The staffs are friendly & helpful. The lobby is beautiful. Breakfast is good. Outdoor hot spring is amazing. Though the location is a bit far away from the station, there is shuttle bus available.

The aqua therapy pool was great, although a few jets were not working. I used it every morning. Everything was very clean, but there was a slightly odd chemical cleaner smell in spots, including. It was strongly present at the entrance and slightly present in my room. The hot spring tubs in every room are very nice and spacious, but the ventilation in the tub room is not very good, which made it a little hard to stay in the tub for long. The free breakfast food was mostly average. I really liked the complimentary fresh fruit provided in my room every day. They also provided a daily assortment of complimentary small desserts and beverages. The staff need some additional training. They were very friendly and helpful, but inadvertently rude at times. They would be speaking English just fine to me, but if my Mandarin-speaking friend walked up to us, they would stop talking to me in the middle of the conversation, start speaking Mandarin, and expect my friend to translate even though we were not staying in the same room. Only one young man who worked in the swimming pool area did not do this, so he stood out as exceptional staff. It is within 10-15 minute walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the MRT, but you do have to walk up/down stairs or hills. So neither exceptionally convenient or inconvenient. Overall, it was acceptably good value and I would definitely consider staying there again for the same price (which was about half of the Grand View Resort).

I stayed one night at Gaia at the end of March. It was really such a wonderful and relaxing experience. I had a facial and massage at the spa, and the service was so warm and personal, with charming tea and cookies. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a lot of variety, plus espresso drinks, dinner at the Italian restaurant was impeccable, with tasty wine. The water massage pool was larger than I expected, and the hot tubs were amazing! With dry and wet sauna, indoor and outdoor tubs of varying temperatures, and a nice lounge room for relaxing, the gender-separated hot spring areas really exceeded my expectations. I was less impressed by the room itself -- it was modest in size and the window was small, making it feel dark and cave-like. However, the room did give a cozy and private retreat feel, which suited the resort well, so I would definitely still go back. I was also initially disappointed that the outdoor pool is closed from Jan-Mar, but the staff were so accommodating and helpful, and there were so many other water features, that I was ultimately super happy with my stay and very satisfied with everything. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway! I didn't even leave the hotel!

온천을 좋아해서 하루 숙박으로 선택했어요. 수영장도 쓸수있다고해서 운동도 할수있겠다싶어서 선택한 호텔이었어요. 우선 객실은 넓고 시설이 좋았어요. 공동 온천장은 일본식으로 되어있고 깨끗하고 유황냄새는 아주 약하게 나는 조용한 휴식공간이었어요. 그렇지만 유황온천 좋아하는 저는 좀 실망스러웠어요. 게다가 수영장은 사용자가 없어서인지 물위에 떠있는 벌레와 낙엽들을 청소하지 않은 채였어요. 조식이 맛있다는 후기에 기대했는데 금액 대비 적당한 정도입니다.

Hotel is surrounded with many beitou eateries and can be reach by walking. located on a hilltop and need to climb up and down; good exercise. breakfast is and extensive and good. a few dining outlets available in the hotel. room is very comfortable. hotel has good ambience, decor and is cosy. hot spring available outdoor and in room. have gym and spa. hotel provide shuttle service between hotel and beitou MRT station; also imprompt to upon request. staff service were excellent and knowledge; feel welcome. will back again. thank you, Gaia Hotel.

노천온천이 사진보다 못해 다소 실망스러웠네요~객실상태도 넓은 것을 제외하고 청결상태나 어메너티(욕실에 손세정제나 비누도 없음)도 잘 갖춰져 있지 않아 불편했구요. 호텔 내 샤부샤부 식사는 깔끔하고 만족스러웠던 반면에 조식은 타 5성급 호텔에 비해 다소 부실했던 것 같습니다. 호텔의 위치는 시장과 베이터우 주요 관광지에서 그리 멀지 않은 곳에 위치해 이용하기 나쁘지 않았습니다.

The hotel is on the hillside, walking distance to the town, shops and restaurants. Getting taxi back to hotel is very convenient and cheap. The hotel overall is very comfortable, pool and sauna were nice. We had total 6 of us and we booked for 3 rooms at USD250 each. Yet, we found a living COCKROACH in one of our rooms, we called for help and a cleaning staff was sent to us and had the area cleaned and sanitised, that it. No apology, no further action. We later complained to the front desk and the staff did not seem to be surprised (?) and she tried to explain it’s because the hotel is near the hills(?!)…. still no apology. Later another staff called to our room at 11pm and tried to arrange us to change to another room (but not upgrade), and also gave us 3 bottles of USD10 wine, we respectfully declined because it’s near midnight already. Finally an assistant manager sincerely apologised and gave us boxes of cinnamon rolls and discount for future booking as a token of apology during check out. The hotel is very comfortable but needs more training on frontline staff and risk management.

A modern, clean hot spring hotel that pampers you once you step in. Staff are very polite and when they show you to your room, they leave their shoes outside! Very spacious room with hotspring tub and excellent in house made petit fours on welcome. Good semi buffet breakfastin the restaurant. The outdoor hotspring is gorgeous. Walkable to major tourist spots. Hotel also provide shuttle service to 2 mrt stations. Front desk staff Sean, Holly, n Meggy are really helpful😍

新しく清潔だが値段の割に部屋は広くないし、何よりエレベーターが使えない細かい段差が多いのが気になる（新北投の駅からの上り坂で疲れた体にはけっこう堪える）。お湯は大浴場よりも部屋風呂のほうが泉質が良さそう。朝食は普通に美味しい。これで安ければいいが、何せ高いのでリピートはないかな。

I can't believe it's a five-star hotel. I can hear the words clearly in the hallway from the room. It's not soundproofed at all. And as soon as you open the door, you encounter a bed. It's below the level of deluxe rooms in a five-star hotel. The lights on the air controller disturb the sleep. Maybe it's because of hotel policy, but there was no amenities, such as toothbrush, at all. It was the most expensive of the three hotels I stayed in on this trip to Taiwan, but the facilities were the cheapest. Even considering the availability of hot springs, the hotel's facilities were way short for the price. But the staff are kind. The hot spring is good.

I stayed one night at Gaia at the end of March. It was really such a wonderful and relaxing experience. I had a facial and massage at the spa, and the service was so warm and personal, with charming tea and cookies. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a lot of variety, plus espresso drinks, dinner at the Italian restaurant was impeccable, with tasty wine. The water massage pool was larger than I expected, and the hot tubs were amazing! With dry and wet sauna, indoor and outdoor tubs of varying temperatures, and a nice lounge room for relaxing, the gender-separated hot spring areas really exceeded my expectations. I was less impressed by the room itself -- it was modest in size and the window was small, making it feel dark and cave-like. However, the room did give a cozy and private retreat feel, which suited the resort well, so I would definitely still go back. I was also initially disappointed that the outdoor pool is closed from Jan-Mar, but the staff were so accommodating and helpful, and there were so many other water features, that I was ultimately super happy with my stay and very satisfied with everything. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway! I didn't even leave the hotel!

A modern, clean hot spring hotel that pampers you once you step in. Staff are very polite and when they show you to your room, they leave their shoes outside! Very spacious room with hotspring tub and excellent in house made petit fours on welcome. Good semi buffet breakfastin the restaurant. The outdoor hotspring is gorgeous. Walkable to major tourist spots. Hotel also provide shuttle service to 2 mrt stations. Front desk staff Sean, Holly, n Meggy are really helpful😍

The aqua therapy pool was great, although a few jets were not working. I used it every morning. Everything was very clean, but there was a slightly odd chemical cleaner smell in spots, including. It was strongly present at the entrance and slightly present in my room. The hot spring tubs in every room are very nice and spacious, but the ventilation in the tub room is not very good, which made it a little hard to stay in the tub for long. The free breakfast food was mostly average. I really liked the complimentary fresh fruit provided in my room every day. They also provided a daily assortment of complimentary small desserts and beverages. The staff need some additional training. They were very friendly and helpful, but inadvertently rude at times. They would be speaking English just fine to me, but if my Mandarin-speaking friend walked up to us, they would stop talking to me in the middle of the conversation, start speaking Mandarin, and expect my friend to translate even though we were not staying in the same room. Only one young man who worked in the swimming pool area did not do this, so he stood out as exceptional staff. It is within 10-15 minute walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the MRT, but you do have to walk up/down stairs or hills. So neither exceptionally convenient or inconvenient. Overall, it was acceptably good value and I would definitely consider staying there again for the same price (which was about half of the Grand View Resort).

Some staffs are quite impolite for instance the lady at the reception queried why I am waiting at the check in counter and standing there. The fact is that I have been directed to wait there from the front counter and the lady that was supposed to be helping me was on the phone. The second impolite instance was my visit to the hot spring. I was cross examined as to whether I went into the hot spring with my swimsuit on. I also overheard the male staff criticising the junior female staff for letting me go in with swimsuit. The male staff explicitly told (warned) me to not go there with my swimsuit on if I were to go again to that horsing the next day. I replied that was my first visit there and at all times there were no signs that swimsuit is not allowed. I had even took a shower before going and do not see any reason why I am prohibited from doing so. And of course for the next day I refrain myself from going to the hot spring again just to avoid to be criticised by the male staff again. In any event, the experience was quite awful and off putting and this had indeed ruined the hotel’s reputation. The front parking reception guy is nonetheless very kind. There is quite a lot for the hotel to improve upon, especially in terms of its staff education.

It’s a bit distance from the main MRT station but they offer shuttle bus every hour to and from the Beitou MRT station. It’s very close to the Thermal valley and the Hot spring museum (less than 4 minutes). The facilities were nice and the staffs were attentive and super friendly. I would recommend my friends to come here.

The Gaia Hotel Taipei is a gorgeous resort hotel but it lacks vicinity entertainment. We aimed at a relaxing one-night stay with hot spring. So, it was satisfactory to our plan. We had fantastic pre-fixed dinner courses with a few choices for salad, soup, and entree. The included breakfast was average except the porridge. The hotel is located about 3/4 mile from Beitou MRT station. There is a hotel shuttle service running every hour, but it's not impossible to walk if you don't mind the moderately steep slopes at the near end. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to have a relaxing stay and to pay for it.

The hotel is on the hillside, walking distance to the town, shops and restaurants. Getting taxi back to hotel is very convenient and cheap. The hotel overall is very comfortable, pool and sauna were nice. We had total 6 of us and we booked for 3 rooms at USD250 each. Yet, we found a living COCKROACH in one of our rooms, we called for help and a cleaning staff was sent to us and had the area cleaned and sanitised, that it. No apology, no further action. We later complained to the front desk and the staff did not seem to be surprised (?) and she tried to explain it’s because the hotel is near the hills(?!)…. still no apology. Later another staff called to our room at 11pm and tried to arrange us to change to another room (but not upgrade), and also gave us 3 bottles of USD10 wine, we respectfully declined because it’s near midnight already. Finally an assistant manager sincerely apologised and gave us boxes of cinnamon rolls and discount for future booking as a token of apology during check out. The hotel is very comfortable but needs more training on frontline staff and risk management.

新しく清潔だが値段の割に部屋は広くないし、何よりエレベーターが使えない細かい段差が多いのが気になる（新北投の駅からの上り坂で疲れた体にはけっこう堪える）。お湯は大浴場よりも部屋風呂のほうが泉質が良さそう。朝食は普通に美味しい。これで安ければいいが、何せ高いのでリピートはないかな。

노천온천이 사진보다 못해 다소 실망스러웠네요~객실상태도 넓은 것을 제외하고 청결상태나 어메너티(욕실에 손세정제나 비누도 없음)도 잘 갖춰져 있지 않아 불편했구요. 호텔 내 샤부샤부 식사는 깔끔하고 만족스러웠던 반면에 조식은 타 5성급 호텔에 비해 다소 부실했던 것 같습니다. 호텔의 위치는 시장과 베이터우 주요 관광지에서 그리 멀지 않은 곳에 위치해 이용하기 나쁘지 않았습니다.

We had fantastic pre-fixed dinner courses with a few choices for salad, soup, and entree. The included breakfast was average except the porridge. The hotel is located about 3/4 mile from Beitou MRT station. There is a hotel shuttle service running every hour, but it's not impossible to walk if you don't mind the moderately steep slopes at the near end. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to have a relaxing stay and to pay for it.

The aqua therapy pool was great, although a few jets were not working. I used it every morning. Everything was very clean, but there was a slightly odd chemical cleaner smell in spots, including. It was strongly present at the entrance and slightly present in my room. The hot spring tubs in every room are very nice and spacious, but the ventilation in the tub room is not very good, which made it a little hard to stay in the tub for long. The free breakfast food was mostly average. I really liked the complimentary fresh fruit provided in my room every day. They also provided a daily assortment of complimentary small desserts and beverages. The staff need some additional training. They were very friendly and helpful, but inadvertently rude at times. They would be speaking English just fine to me, but if my Mandarin-speaking friend walked up to us, they would stop talking to me in the middle of the conversation, start speaking Mandarin, and expect my friend to translate even though we were not staying in the same room. Only one young man who worked in the swimming pool area did not do this, so he stood out as exceptional staff. It is within 10-15 minute walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the MRT, but you do have to walk up/down stairs or hills. So neither exceptionally convenient or inconvenient. Overall, it was acceptably good value and I would definitely consider staying there again for the same price (which was about half of the Grand View Resort).

excellent service. we left 2 big lugguages a week before we check in and the staffs are very helpful to organize it for us. When we arrive, staffs took all of our luggages and has already put the 2 big lugguages in the room. everyone is so attentive and nice. Breakfast is great with both buffet and you can also order what you want. there is private onsen in the room. and the public onsen is really wonderful. I particuarlly like the onsen outdoor, it is not big, however, it is very unique and it feels like the onsen in japan. We also got a bottle of wine, desserts, lots of drinks and fruits to eat in the room. we really feel relax and welcome by the hotel. Also, you can get to Moon Moon restaurtant, thermal valley, Beitou museum within 5 to 7 min walk.
