A super wonderful Ryokan experience with their impressive Kaiseki where you can have it in your room if you book the corner room with Lake view(I believe all lake view rooms are the same?) Other rooms also have their own dining area right out of the their room which also have nice window view where you can also see some part of the lake view. Perhaps the most debated topic should be the private bath and its admission as it is totally up to the guests to control its use. I was lucky to secure it for my parents but during peak season, its use could become tricky. There must have beeb good reason why they have maintained this system, but could improve with a bit of tweak I suppose. The private bath itself is wonderful even comes with a small Tadami room and all that you need. I also stayed a fancy, modern centric Ryokan in the same trip with higher price, and I have to say this Ryokan is definitely better at least to me. The room and its things were also great as they were apparently renewed or renovated recently, no sign of old and pale stuffs in the room. Strongly recommend this place and make sure you book breakfast and dinner in the package unless you have good plan for them. 5 out of 5.

Japanese attention to detail was everywhere. Food, tatami mats, onsen and wonderful staff made us feel very welcome.
