Perfect location in town when you want to explore center of Berlin. All the popular sites are within a short distance - either by foot or by public transportation. We selected the executive room which granted us access to the business lounge on 7th floor. It was a very nice feature to have a place to relax with some drinks and snacks during the day and evening - in between the visits and shopping. Very clean and quiet hotel.

Room was clean, warm and the breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and replenished frequently. Bar staff were very friendly. Enjoyed cocktails a couple of nights in the hotel. Will definitely book again. Check in staff very efficient. 5 nights in centre of Berlin.

The location was great. However the rooms were not cleaned. The towels were very poor quality and one of them was grey and was frayed. I stayed for three nights and requested my room be cleaned on the second day. Despite asking at 0800 and again asking at 1500 this did not occur. It was very frustrating since the place is advertised as having daily house keeping. They need to hire more staff to address this fundamental issue.

Housekeeping was not a default but we were asked to request each time if necessary. However, it was never done despite our requests during our three nights stay and yet no particular apologies from the hotel staff but only comments that "we will tell housekeeping staff". We were genuinely disappointed with our stay at H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the hotel is in serious need of a renovation. The hallways are lined with carpets that are heavily worn and stained, with large bleach marks that make the entire property feel neglected and poorly maintained. Unfortunately, the condition of our room was no better. The carpet had similar stains, and the room itself had a musty odor, like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired out in quite some time. It made the space feel unwelcoming and far from comfortable. One of the biggest issues we faced was the air conditioning—or lack thereof. Despite adjusting the settings, the room remained stuffy and uncomfortably warm. For a hotel of this category, functioning climate control should be a basic expectation. Our experience at the hotel restaurant added to the overall frustration. It was chaotic and lacked any sense of service. Guests had to seat themselves, and it was common to see people walking around trying to find clean tables. On more than one occasion, we had to ask the staff to wipe down a table before we could sit. It felt more like a crowded cafeteria than a hotel restaurant, and the lack of organization was disappointing. Overall, the H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz failed to meet even basic standards of comfort.

On arrival our room smelt of drains, this did clear. The carpet in the room was stained which was disappointing. One of the towels had a visible hole and was ripped this was replaced on request. Although the towels were well used and worn although clean. On arrival the reception staff were not particularly welcoming, on other occasions the staff varied from being friendly and smiling to being somewhat sullen. The breakfast menu was excellent and when we ate in the dining room the food was excellent.

The rooms are clean and size is moderate. Bath is convenient too. Breakfast is really good with big selection of all kind of delicious thinks. Okay it's European (or Western) based and also typical German. Stuff is always helpful and friendly. Location is also great and very central.

The bed was very comfortable. There was very little storage space. Room phone didn’t work. Hotel staff was friendly and spoke English. Location was great and central close to Alexanderplatz. There was no fridge and cleaning on request only. Seemed air conditioning didn’t respond properly.

Vi fik værelser på 8. Sal i første omgang, men måtte bede om nye dagen efter, da der var en forfærdelig larm fra elevatoren hele natten. Vi blev efterfølgende flyttet ned på 1. Sal, hvilket var ligeså forfærdeligt på grund af larm fra gaden.. Vi købte ørepropper og fik dårlig søvn de næste nætter. Super ærgerligt, at der er så lidt lydisolering og det påvirkede vores rejse negativt.

Overall, the entire experience was very good. Mr. Singh at breakfast was an absolute star — incredibly kind, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. The hotel itself was pleasant and enjoyable. The reason the hotel did not receive full marks is because I had to ask for an iron several times; in the end, I had to go and pick it up myself from the reception on the second day. Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows felt flat and lifeless. The bathroom door could not be locked. Despite these issues, the overall stay was still very good, and the friendly service — especially at breakfast — stood out the most

BEWARE, NO AC AT THIS HOTEL! They claim to have ac but the ac does not work. We were a group of 14 with 7 different rooms and no one had decent AC. I made numerous calls to front desk and they sent someone to “fix” it, but it was never fixed. Very unpleasant to come back to a hot room after a day out in the hot sun. I would never recommend this property for this reason.

Nice hotel, good staff, great breakfast . Room clean and bed comfortable. We felt there was a shortage of hanging space and only 1 drawer. The worst aspect was the poor air con. We moved room once but the problem remained. Staff said either Aircon wasn't working or it is only switched on when very hot. If Aircon is important to you it would be advised to stay elsewhere.

The staff are this property’s driving force. Courteous, helpful, efficient, friendly, responsive, they are the hotel’s best asset. Check in and out extremely streamlined. Location is the second best asset. Close to many dining options (highly recommend the Indian restaurant in the corner for the best curry!) There’s a huge mall and Alexanderplatz is within easy walking distance. Museums, the Brandenburg Gate all within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was also convenient with a tasty breakfast buffet and good drinks for dinner. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the room well stocked. The only negative issue I had had to do with the cleanliness of the linen and rooms. I would highly recommend the hotel changes their linen service. The towels and bed sheets were dingy, not dirty per se but not pristine. This was the only thing and I realize this is normally outsourced so I don’t want to detract from the hotel experience. Overall I highly recommend this hotel especially if you’re looking for an excellent location to explore Berlin.

For a 4 star hotel I was surprised by the lack of housekeeping. The hair dryer kept cutting out. The lack of customer service by all but one lady at the front desk was also surprising. Totally uninterested in helping customers with anything. I requested extra pillows. They never came. We asked for information and were told to find it on google. Really? 3 star property with 3 star service. Decent location.

Very nice hotel ideally placed 5 mins walk from Alexanderplatz station with links to airport and all the tourist sites within Berlin. All of the staff I encountered were courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel public areas were all well maintained and well decorated. The room allocated was a good size, warm, cleaned each day and comfortable. The breakfast provided was excellent. Thank you.

This the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location with excellent transport links. Buffet breakfast is very good and there are plenty of places to eat near by. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Room was fine - I have stayed there before. This time they overcharged. They claim I ordered breakfast - however I showed the staff at check in that no where on my confirmations does it state that I ordered breakfast. Hotel is not responding to my claim for the overcharge and the reception staff would not send the claim for me. Good for when things go right - terrible for when things go wrong. After staying at the hotel more than 10 times, I have now stayed there for the last time.

Great hotel in a great location close to Alexanderplatz. Easy to get to feom the airport by train. Let us check in 4 hours early which was great. Next door to a beer hall with outside area and ealking distance to a lot of main tourist attractions and bus tours. Good breakfast and staff were always really helpful. Highly recommended and would definitely book again

Great deal for comfortable and clean hotel in central location in Berlin. The breakfast was amazing! The immediate area is not nice/interesting but it is very easy, safe and quick to get anywhere you want to be. There is no common area to hang out in the lobby.

Dinner here is delicious. The room seems to be remodeled and the bathroom has heated floors. The shower drain actually drains well unlike many other Berlin hotels where you will be standing in a puddle of water.

Good location, within easy walking distance of station and U-Bahn. Lots of places to eat and drink near by. Room was clean and functional. Pillows need replacing are just empty bags with a couple of feathers floating around inside. Breakfast was very good with good selection of food which was kept well stocked. Overall pretty good for the price.

This was a good hotel and we especially liked the varied (and clearly marked) vegan food at the breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet for a city centre hotel. The location is excellent with very easy access to Alexanderplatz railway station (connections to the airport and S and U-bahns). There is also a tram which stops very near the hotel. The only improvement would be full blackout curtains. Overall, though, this was a very good hotel and would recommend!
