The motel is on a beautiful and well-maintained property. Lots of lovely trees. And a wide back lawn that slopes down to the river. Two Adirondack chairs in which to sit and enjoy the view.

Room was nice no amentias whatsover no breakfast coffee at lobby nothing. Had to leave my room key in my room since office was closed at 6:15am. Found a number to call to let them know and was given a disconnected number. Rooms were nice and took forever to get hot water

Not much to look at from the outside but the rooms more than make up for it. Pleasantly surprised. Looks like it recently renovated. The front desk was very helpful. Nice view of the river behind the hotel with a few benches to sit.

We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and it was very nice. Very clean. A short walk across the backyard and you can stand at the river edge and relax.

Bathroom vanity had pealing paint on cabinet and doors. Bathroom had clearly visable large cobwebs from the vanity lights to the ceiling. Cable service (Spectrum) was a joke. Most channels said "service temporarily not available" and when you did get a channel to work, it constantly froze and tiled. Finally gave up and used my Ipad.

Great for an overnight stay to get a good night’s sleep. I couldn’t figure out how the TV worked however. It was overly complicated, didn’t respond to the remote, so I finally gave up.

Very clean and recently renovated property. The staff are nice but were a little slow getting to the front desk when arrived. The room (129) must have been far away from the wifi router because the connection was weak and would keep disconnecting. I liked that there were snack and drinks in the lobby and the drinks were super cold. The automatic curtains in the room were also very cool. The desk could use a lamp.

The room was nice and large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could use a few more hooks or places to hang towels. The shower floor is kind of slippery and there are no bars to grab. We kept having problems with our TV. Someone would have to come in and fix it every time we turned it on. I would have to walk over to the office because the phone didn't work. It was a pain. There were two of us staying in the room and the coffee maker is a Keurig. Only two pods were there and I asked for eight more as we were staying two nights, three mornings. The woman at the desk reluctantly gave them to me, She kept looking at me like I was going to steal them. The wifi connection was nice and strong. It would be nice if there was more then one chair in the room.

While this looked like an ordinary roadside motel from the front, when we opened the door to our deluxe, double queen riverside room, we were surprised and delighted by the view from the enormous picture window that framed the beautiful lawn leading down to the river behind the inn.

There is no proper sound proofing between floors if you are staying in the 2 story portions. We heard every footstep and voice ALL night of those above us all night. Otherwise, a good location for us to downtown New Milford and they accommodated an early check in.

This was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in the northeast. Get the deluxe king room. Water fell from the ceiling to tub with a jacuzzi bath.

This is exactly what you would expect from a small Inn. Decent facilities, base services, no amenities...average and reasonable. Setting is nice, off a main road with a river behind it, but staff was not very friendly. Good place to say for a night (not great value or cheap) when passing through the area. Close to town which is cute and worth walking through, and plenty of good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is only rated 2 stars, but the reviews that I read before booking were all positive so I took a chance. I'm very glad I did. The room was very neat, clean and odorless. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker which was convenient. We even had a view of the river which was nice. I gave lower stars for customer service because I tried to call the hotel before we left to ask a question and no one answered the phone after several tries. I realize they may be short-staffed and can't stay at the front desk but they should carry a cell phone to answer any calls. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The customer service was great! Due to it not being too busy for a Thursday, they upgraded our room free of charge. The room we stayed in was perfect. It was clean, spacious, and had a great view.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is not the Hilton, but it surpassed my expectations for what I paid for 3 nights. One evening I experienced an issue with the bathroom and I called the office. The gentleman was at my door in less than 10min and he fixed my issue and had left in less than 5. Amazing response and service from these folks 👏

I got to Rocky River Inn after a long and stressful day and found a heavenly haven! The Inn is set way back from the street so there is no traffic noise. The room was absolutely IMMACULATE!! The bed was extremely comfortable! The sheets were soft and looked brand new! The bathroom was very well laid out with a great walk in shower! There were plenty of Aveda toiletries! There was a fridge and a microwave! I would LOVE to stay there again and rate it a 10 out of 10. It is also extremely moderate in price, so extraordianarily high value.

I stayed just for one night but the place was excellent. The king bed room was very spacious including the bathroom and very comfortable. There are a couple of adirondack chairs right on the banks of the Housatonic River, sat and took a very peaceful nap there. For what I needed, it was a really good place to stay - met with folks in New Milford, which is like 5 minutes away along with the Housatonic Brewery. Great place. (2 mins away.) The price was affordable given the area as most other properties were much higher.

Our view was stunning with the river out the window! Big, clean room! Very close to New Milford and restaurants and shops! We came for the Gilmore Girls weekend and I would absolutely stay here again!
