Great hotel and perfect for a family city break to Berlin. Family room meant interconnecting rooms which was appreciated by parents and teenagers! Pool and sauna were great - small but great for a bit of relaxation and gym also good. Had a brilliant time in Berlin - hotel close to U-Bahn making it easy to navigate the city! Would recommend!

I would’ve loved to give more stars as we did actually enjoy our stay. The hotel was mostly clean, aside from the cigarette smell, and very quiet. The pool area was a lovely and our kids had lots of fun. There are a lot of pros but unfortunately we had several incidents that added up to the low star rating. - slippery floors in the bedroom: our youngest son slipped while walking near the bed and hit his cheek off of the wooden base, which is quite sharp. Thankfully, he only grazed his cheek and has a minor bruise. Had he fallen in a different direction it could’ve been much worse. - slippery floors by the pool: the pool area is quite small, and of course children are jumping in the water and splashing everywhere, which of course is to be expected. But this means the floor surrounding the pool gets very wet and extremely slippery. My husband slipped on the stairs, going out of the pool area. - sliding doors in the rooms- the sliding doors in the bedrooms are quite heavy and dangerous for kids. - 2 of the chairs in our room had tacks/nails sticking up through the fabric. - we loved the pool but noticed a big difference between the first two days of our stay and the last two days. When we first arrived, the pool area and the water were really warm and lovely to swim in. But the last two days it was much colder sitting by the pool and the water was freezing. It was very strange that there was such a huge difference.

I had a mixed experience at Sanna. The room was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. However, there was a lot of noise from the street in the mornings, making it difficult to sleep. I specifically chose this hotel because of the steam room, but unfortunately, it was closed during my stay, which was disappointing. The swimming pool was also small and often overcrowded, so it was hard to enjoy the facilities. On the positive side, the hotel’s location was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. With a few improvements, the stay could have been much better.

Das Hotel finde ich schön gestaltet. Wir hatten einige Probleme mit dem Zimmer und das freundliche Personal war sehr um Abhilfe bemüht. Am Ende haben wir ein kostenloses Frühstück bekommen, welches wir genossen haben. Das Internet war langsam. Den Pool finde ich zu klein. Ansonsten ist der Spa Bereich ganz schön gemacht. Leider gibt es keinen Ruheraum. Es ist verhältnismäßig laut da oben.

The hotel was great, and I’d love to stay there again next time. It has a nice spa and bar, and the price is very reasonable for this type of hotel. There were only minor drawbacks: there was no hairdryer in the room, but we asked at reception, and they brought one to us. In some areas, the cleanliness could have been better (details like cobwebs on the wall).

The hotel room was a little worse for wear because of old marks on the walls and below the windows which clearly could have been cleaned. On the second day, we came back to a room that had not been cleaned thoroughly. The dirty water glasses were still in the room, the floors had not been vacuumed. On the final night, we arrived back just before midnight from a day out touring, only to find the room had not been cleaned at all! We reported this to the front desk. They suggested we opted for an ‘green option’ which gave us €10 voucher. We said this was not the case at all. The manager said there must have been some mistake and then as compensation doubled the voucher. Then, all they would offer was clean towels (we had left the used towels on the shower floor to be replaced) and a change of cups. We were too exhausted so opted to sleep on it and resolve in the morning.

Staff is super friendly and helpful . The hotel is very clean. There is not much privacy when it comes to the bathroom area. It’s open glass so you feel a bit awkward if you’re traveling with someone. The rooms are very spacious and we had two rooms that had a joint door, which was great . Hotel is in a great location and the hamburger joint across the street is absolutely insane. The best burgers I’ve had.

Very enjoyable stay in a very nicely designed hotel. Very modern and comfortable. Good bed sheets and good beds. However, was staying in December and we were not able to decrease the heat in the rooms adequately. So we had to sleep with open windows. Nice and friendly staff.

Alt på det hotel er der bare stye på. Vi har boet der 5-6 gange efterhånden og elsker at komme tilbage til det vi "kender" Vi plejer at tage der ned i start december for at fejre min fødselsdag,som hotellet hvert år fejre med lykønskning på ens værelse med lidt kage,vin eller lign. En sådan ting,altså det at stedet gør den indsats..får en til at føle sig som en værdsat gæst og ikke bare fordi man betaler. Vi har nogle år valgt væsentlig dyre 5 stjernet hoteller, men der er bare ikke den samme interessse for deres gæster. Baren,herlig tjener og mega hyggeligt..morgenmad,personale der har styr på det og alt er der...receptionen,yderst servicemindet og professionelle..rengøring,er bare iorden..vi elsker alt ved det hotel og kommer helt sikkert tilbage mange år endnu 😊😊

Review I always get a bit dubious of hotels that offer additional benefits to Expedia Gold Members because they often fail to deliver service to the standard expected of them… but this hotel was so much better than I was expecting! De Lima I plotted on the map of Berlin all the tourist traps I wanted to visit and this hotel is around an hour walk away from most of them. But in reality, I think I must’ve missed some of the nearby attractions when planning my trip! The hotel was so close to the zoo and lots of amazing restaurants and shops! So now for the hotel itself. I reached out in advance to tell them it was my birthday. They sent champagne and two small cheesecakes to our room with a note to recognise my birthday! It was such an amazing surprise! We booked a junior suite and OMG I recommend doing this! It was amazing! We’ve stayed in a good chunk of the most amazing hotels in the world, and this one competes with them! This hotel is only one inspection away from 5 stars! As far as I’m concerned it’s already got them! The fixtures and fittings were top quality. The water pressure in the shower and bath were both brilliant. The TV was so modern, allowing guests to steam from their own devices. The staff in bar were very attentive and very friendly, we enjoyed speaking with the female member of staff who served us. I also have to say the member of staff who checked us in (De Lima) was very professional and friendly too! Thank you Sana Hotel!

We stayed for a long weekend. Our room was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The staff were without exception very friendly and helpful. Chwck in was smooth, with our baggage stored after our early arrival and in our room when we returned. Breakfast was a feast with very attentive and friendly service. The bar was a relaxing oasis from the streets of Berlin. The pool was a lovely bonus with great views over the rooftops. We had a marvellous time.

Great location - just a short 10 minute walk to the Ku'Damm. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed after our luggage was lost/delayed by the airline. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment. The room was clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. I had the best few nights of sleep there. The bathrooms are modern and big, with a walk-in shower in one and a deep tub in the other. The kitchen has everything you need - fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, hob & oven, dishwasher, and washer/dryer combo. Loads of wardrobes and storage space. It really felt like a home away from home. The guys working in the hotel bar were great. We accidentally spilled a full drink and it was no trouble for them to make us a new one and clean up the mess. Honestly, so polite and we all had a laugh about it. Though we never had a chance to use them, we took a peek and the swimming pool and the fitness room were very nice! Very modern with excellent equipment. Also, it is easy to jump on the U-Bahn just across from the hotel. We were going to a concert at the Uber Arena and it was around a 25 minute train ride directly from the hotel. If we return to Berlin, we would happily stay at Sana again. Great value for the price. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved staying at Sana Berlin. Nice modern and clean property, spacious for a comfortable stay and conveniently located for transport options, shopping, dining and most importantly the Berlin Zoo which was the purpose of our trip. We also very much enjoyed the breakfast which was generous with it’s selection and set in a comfortable and cosy ground floor area with its terrace option towards the back court. We did not have time to visit the spa but next time when we book, Sana Berlin will be our hotel of choice and hopefully also find time to intergate some calm time in their spa and pool. Thank you

Thank you for a wonderful stay! I was traveling to Berlin as a solo female from Canada. I planned to spend most of the daytime hours out and about in the city, but I wasn't looking to go out and party. It was important to me to have a hotel with great rooms & nice amenities so that I could actually enjoy some time there, not just a place to rest my head. Sana delivered on everything I was hoping for. My room was FANTASTIC. Really nice details, like a GOOD coffee maker, a ton of storage, a huge bathtub etc. I loved the personalized note and desserts that were waiting for me upon my arrival. The little things the signify above and beyond hospitality. I enjoyed the spa area at the end of each day. Yes the pool is small as mentioned by other reviewers. But it's a spa pool, not a pool for swimming laps. It was super relaxing to alternate between the sauna and the pool. The bar and restaurant were nice as well. I ate there a few times and enjoyed everything I had. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I had one small issue with my safe, which was fixed within minutes I thought it might be far away from most main attractions but that was not a problem at all. Berlin is so easy to get around. In fact, the first stop for the Hop On Hop Off tour I did was a 10 min walk from the hotel, so that was perfect. This was my first solo Euro trip and something I will remember forever. Thanks for being a part of it Sana!!!

The room was lovely, good size and very comfortable bed. The shower gel pump didn’t work properly and the phone rang randomly in the middle of the night. I answered it but no one was there. Weird. Breakfast was a little expensive at €25 per day but it was excellent. Whilst it’s very close to the gay area in Berlin the vibe wasn’t particularly gay friendly.

Chwck in was smooth, with our baggage stored after our early arrival and in our room when we returned. Breakfast was a feast with very attentive and friendly service. The bar was a relaxing oasis from the streets of Berlin. The pool was a lovely bonus with great views over the rooftops. We had a marvellous time.
