The hotel was in an excellent location. We arrived early and asked about early checkin. Was told the room was not ready, we would be texted and all rooms guaranteed by 4 PM. Reception personnel seemed to “go through the motions”. We never did receive a text. The room was clean but smelled very musty as others have noted in their reviews. The window shade was torn and had yellow stains on it. A/C was adequate. Since many reviews have described a musty smell, I would think the hotel would look into it. Didn’t use the pool. The restaurant was okay.

Beautiful property, everything was extremely clean. Bed was super comfortable. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Will be back!

The Mimsyln Inn is a beautiful property with very friendly, helpful staff. I received a 90 minute massage from Jennifer and it was AMAZING! I had a delicious breakfast and my waitress was so sweet. My room was spotless, as was the whole interior of the hotel. The outside….not so much. That is my only complaint. The outside needs to be pressure washed very badly! I immediately closed the shade in my room when I looked out and seen the disgustingly dirty windows that was full of black stuff, bugs, spiderwebs and dirt and I never raised it back up while I was there for five days. It was nasty. All of the exterior windows and doors and columns and stuff looked like that and the huge front porch was always full of dead bugs laying around that were never cleaned off in the five days that I was there. I don’t understand why they would let this beautiful hotel look so bad outside when the inside is so clean. It only needs to be pressure washed to get all of the dirt and cob webs down. It is very bad! I would stay there again because the staff is so nice, the food is good, the spa is amazing and the interior is clean but come on folks, clean the outside up! This isn’t something that happened overnight. It looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time!
