Stayed 2 nights

So many things wrong with our stay: first, they didn’t have our reservation. It was extended through an Hotels.com agent but it didn’t make it to the reception. Thankfully they could accommodate us, but they had to change our room type. Instead of interleading rooms, we were changed to a room with 3 beds and a divider. Gone is the intimacy or the possibility of staying up later than the kids. To top it all, we found a gecko in our room when we came back in the evening. We put a towel below the door to try to prevent further intrusions. The rooms are very basic with dated furniture. Thankfully the beds and pillows were confortable and clean. Next, we couldn’t take advantage of the installations fully. The kids refused to go into the pool after seeing all the dead bugs floating on top. On our first night, they lended us 2 tennis rackets and a ball. The next morning, I asked the reception if we could have them again and they told me that they don’t have balls – as in, we never ever offer that. So tennis was not an option anymore. We needed to use the lounge area to do some homework with the kids. It was almost impossible to stay there, the music was so loud, it was impossible to have a conversation. Breakfast selection is great but all the hot items were cold despite being under the warming lights. No body likes cold bacon. Finally, we got awaken at 05:35 on our last day by a wake-up call we never ordered. Seriously worst hotel of our entire trip.
