We were not aware the pool was closed for renovations

The pool was inavailable, was not informed til we were on site. Planned our trip around the stay. Would’ve been awesome to know They’re under construction. Pool was getting remodeled. If known wouldn’t haven’t driven out to stay.

Due to a nearby fire, water towers were drained to put it out. The staff was very quick to apologize and explain why the water was discolored. The breakfast was great. One of the perks of the hotel was a courtesy shuttle. However, it was not running on our night which was disappointing.

We were very disappointed that we weren't informed the hot tub area was under construction. That was why we chose this hotel.

Jake provided us shuttle transportation to and from an event. He did a fine job. Friendly and timely. Thanks!

Ongoing renovations should be noted on this website for location. Having workmen on scaffolding outside your second-floor window at 7 am is early for someone on vacation.

Room keys outdated. Hallways tore up with getting remodeled. Elevator really slow. Front desk woman rude at check in and during breakfast.

Everything was good for our stay except for the elevator being out of service. While it was simply a minor inconvenience for us - for an elderly group it would have been much more difficult.

We were here one night. The hot tub water was a little "rowdy". Friendly hotel staff. Rooms & hallways needed a good vacuuming. Breakfast was really good. Bed were a little hard.

We got there and found out the hotel use under major remodeling. Lobby hallways had sheetrock and light dust throughout. Not a deal breaker because it is an improvement. Just unfortunate. very friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Also, very windy day and there was a howling through our window possibly part of the remodel.

Very nice clean quiet perfect overnight stay

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious. Good breakfast.

The breakfast was excellent. The floors were dirty, garbage receptical in front of entrance was overflowing at noon when we arrived and worse the next day, the bathroom door had been replaced with an ill fitting door with hinge recesses cobbled to work but very unprofessional and the elevator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. Not good!

Broke down across the street. Waiting for a tow. Needed a place to stay while finding one. Chose this hotel. Is an amazingly clean hotel and staff is exceptionally friendly.

Very dirty room

The stay itself was average there were a lot of hairs on the sheets in one of the beds. Bathroom was very clean tho. The front desk attendant was the worst part she was very friendly but was clearly on drugs. She was talking and grinding her jaw faster than rave kid on drum n bass night.

Expensive but needed a room to break up a road trip. Bed was great, and room was very clean.

Enjoyed the seating furniture. Very comfortable to watch TV. I don’t like watching TV in beds.

Beds were awesome, tv was hit & miss, but it was super windy out. Breakfast was good, loved the pantry options. Afternoon check in person (possibly Lisa) was fantastic, funny & quick to get us into our room

Very comfortable

This hotel appears to be in the process of being updated. The water in the shower is either scalding or freezing. The room was quite large. The sheets kept popping off the bed and the luggage rack literally fell apart as we were trying to move our things into the elevator. The check in staff was excellent.

Charge too much $$ for uncomfortable beds. Smoky smelling room was supposed to be non smoking. This one is not up to Holiday Inn standards. As well as their famous pancake machine was not cooking pancakes. Tammy front desk friendly!

The room was decent, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and cold water flow from the faucet was minimal. Also, the room heater temp-control doesn't function correctly - I had it down to 62 and it kept cycling on no matter the setting. These are all minor items, but yet somewhat annoying...

Musty smelling hotel upon entering the front door all the way to the room. Uncomfortable beds. Dirty shower curtain. Noisy toilet when filling up after each flush. Very weak water pressure. Strobing bathroom lights. Rusty light fixtures. Ceiling stains. Non-caring front desk staff.

The check in experience was excellent, friendly, and quick! I felt I could go to the desk for any needs and would be met with positivity.

Everything was good except that they tried double charging me after i paid through hotels.com. took awhile to straighten out.

When we went to check in, e were told that our reservation had been cancelled at 3 that afternoon. We did not cancel our reservation. They had no more rooms available that night so we were stranded. Someone needs to be accountable for this.

The reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with the building, but with the management. The young gentleman that checked us in last night and checked us out this morning was very polite and professional. When checking out this morning he asked us if we enjoyed our stay, to which i stated that the room was good, as well as the breakfast. But, i did say to him that to keep the atmosphere in the hotel cheerful, they should not put political channels on their TVs in the common area, as it alienates 1/2 of the customers staying there. I mentioned that the thing to do is to try and promote the area, not to create division. He was polite and said that he would pass that along. I was then about to turn and leave when out of the little room behind the counter, out charges an older woman that said she was the manager on site, and she pushed me into more conversation. In her response to me she tried to tell me that i should just ignore the TV. She then told me that when i checked in last night and was asked what they could do to make my stay a good one, that i should have mentioned that i didn't like political things when staying at a hotel. That was wrong. With that, i told her that i would have been making it political when stating that. In reality, one should not have to come in and state something like that, which woukd make me the one at fault for making it political. One should not have to be inundated with politics during a hotel stay. Will not stay there again.

The hotel shares the same campus as Diamond Jo Casino and is a 10 minute drive from Rice Lake Golf and Country Club in Lake Milks, IA. Myself and three friends enjoyed an excellent 24 hour golf and gambling getaway!

Nice quiet stay at the end of the day.

After a bit of a hiccup on check in, we had a decent stay. The hotel’s management team is stellar and breakfast was good!

The only thing was that the pancake machine was not dialed in so they were under done and gummy. Fresh fruit was a welcome addition and the size of the milk was great not having to pour it out of a pitcher was nice too. Staff was friendly and courteous.
