Niedliche kleine Stadtunterkunft, tolles altes Haus. Aber! Das Zimmer ist klein, was ok ist aber das Badezimmer ist viel zu klein. Dusche und Toilette total beengt. Personal teils sehr freundlich. Eine Mitarbeiterin war etwas genervt. Sorry aber ich kann nichts dafür, wenn etwas im Haus nicht funktioniert. Was überhaupt nicht geht, ist, wenn die Toilettenspülung nicht richtig funktioniert. Morgens lief plötzlich kein Wasser mehr. Es kam eine Frau und drehte an einem Hahn. Ich solle warten. Wahrscheinlich lief das Wasser nur sehr langsam in den Spülkasten und reicht für 1-2 Spülgänge. Danach scheint es leer zu sein. Ich habe es mehrfach angesprochen. Sie wollen sich kümmern. Leider ist nichts passiert. Das ist unangenehm und sollte auch bei 1 * funktionieren! Ich öffnete beide Fenster, eins ließ sich nicht mehr schließen. Das war der Dame dann wohl zu viel. Es ist sehr sehr hellhörig und das Zimmer (1. Etage) heizte sich sehr auf. Nachts schlafen nur bei geöffnetem Fenster und mit Ohropax! Positiv war, dass ich einen Kaffee bekam. Frühstücken wollte ich nicht. Das war mir zu eng.

We arrived 19:30 and the door was closed. A note said to use the pin code we should have received by email, which we never did. I kept knocking and after some time a housekeeper living next door came out gave me a key and allowed us to enter. Parking was a nightmare. You have to park in a parking house 10-15 mins away. They have 8 rooms and ours was like stepping into the historic past, but not in a good way. The carpet was very stained so I kept my socks on. Everything is ooooold and run down. The hotel needs some love and renovation but dogs are allowed and it was fairly priced. Breakfast could fit 6 people at the time and was simple but fresh. All were seated around same table and people were chatting, the room is tiny. I would not stay here again but it was quite an experience.

Hotel mitten im Zentrum. Alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Parksituation heikel, Parkplatz muss im Viertel gesucht werden, was nicht so einfach ist.

Impossible de se laver dans lavabo car étagère trop grande du coup d'ouvrir la porte pour se pencher la figure au dessus , WC contre le lavabo donc gymnastique, tâche de coulure sur les murs, grand cheveux et autres déchet humains sous le drap, déjeuner compliqué car sur une table de huit personnes dans l'accueil j'ai était obligé de me lever et de sortir de ma place assise car le livreur de linge passé entre ma place et l'accueil pour déposer le propre et reprendre le salle ce qui n'empêche pas que ma housse de matelas était anormalement salle,de plus les chambres 11 et 10 ont un bruit strident au dessus du plafond dur dur pour dormir, il n'y a pas je répète pas de place de parking et donc il est très compliqué de se garer au plus près pour nous ont s'est garer a 500 m le premier soir puis à 100 le deuxième soir car il était 21 h et ont à tourner un peu comme le premier soir

The room was spacious enough with a kitchen and decent sized bathroom. The major drawback is that the room was located across the street from the checkin area. Access is poorly lit (lights are on a timer). The staircase to my room is steep and difficult to manage with luggage. The staff is friendly and the area around the hotel is safe and quiet.

Éviter le studio avec une personne âgée car l'escalier d'accès est raide et étroit. De plus une nuit de nuisances sonores du fait du voisinage, ce studio étant dans un autre bâtiment que l'hôtel. Avons changé pour une chambre, disponible, par chance, dans l'hôtel. Très bien.

Voor door reis hotel niet eens heel slecht aar kamer was bloed heet, geen airco. Moeren op de kamer en ook in bed. En kamer is niet fris. Bedden sliepen wel goed

I travel extensively and Very seldom have I ever left a bad review. This Hotel is really a boarding house with the name Hotel attached. I will be attaching photos. It's dirty and much mold in the shower. The carpet is almost non existent and worn down similar to felt and was like walking on concrete. We kept our socks on all the time because of the scrunchy carpet. The room was cold and finally I was able to explain we needed a heater. The toilet often took a couple flushes to work. Not sure what that was about. There is No common area to use to chat with friends or other guests. Just a tiny landing as you came into the door that was often filled with dirty laundry bags. We had a friend there also but we had to meet in our room. The dining area was so small and the house keeper kept coming through with laundry holding bags over our heads. We attempted to find other lodging immediately after seeing the hotel and our room but we were in Caeñ for 5 nights with a friend but no place was available for that long of a stay. Warning: I would not bring my children here. I don't know who the owner is but an inspection is needed.

Je ne comprends pas comment cet hôtel peut bénéficier d'avis aussi favorables. Chambre n° 9. 20 heures. Sur le point de prendre une douche, je remarque que le robinet d’eau froide est totalement inopérant (il y a deux vieux robinets distincts chaud / froid). Descendu à l’accueil déjà fermé, je trouve un jeune employé qui me demande si j’ai bien tourné le robinet dans le bon sens... Formidable ! Il m’a alors indiqué ne rien pouvoir faire, toutes les chambres étant occupées, et m’a proposé de prendre une douche le lendemain après le départ de clients et la remise en état d'une chambre. Affligeant. Le lendemain matin, quand je suis descendu prendre mon petit-déjeuner, j’ai demandé à m’adresser au manager, en vain. Qui est-il ? Où est-il ? Travaille t’il seulement quelquefois dans l’établissement ? On ne le saura jamais. J’ai informé la personne en charge des petit-déjeuners et du check-out, de cette situation. A son tour, elle m’a déclaré ne rien pouvoir faire, si ce n’est me proposer de me doucher dans la chambre voisine, son occupant venant juste de quitter l’hôtel ! A aucun moment, un employé ne s'est déplacé pour tenter de résoudre le problème ou simplement le constater. Aucun responsable n'était officiellement présent pendant tout mon séjour. Aucun compensation ne m'a été proposé. Le mépris du client mais avec le sourire! Qui plus est, l'hygiène du rabat des toilettes était plus que douteuse (cf. photos jointes) Très mauvaise expérience, un lieu à éviter.

L'hôtel est très bien placé par rapport au centre ville de Caen, un peu en retrait mais proche. L'État de la chambre est propre, rien à dire et l'accueil a été agréable.

Hôtel très propre et très pratique à 5mn de la Place Saint-Sauver et de la ville. Personne à l accueil tres sympathique. Nous recommandons.

We kept our socks on all the time because of the scrunchy carpet. The room was cold and finally I was able to explain we needed a heater. The toilet often took a couple flushes to work. Not sure what that was about. There is No common area to use to chat with friends or other guests. Just a tiny landing as you came into the door that was often filled with dirty laundry bags. We had a friend there also but we had to meet in our room. The dining area was so small and the house keeper kept coming through with laundry holding bags over our heads. We attempted to find other lodging immediately after seeing the hotel and our room but we were in Caeñ for 5 nights with a friend but no place was available for that long of a stay. Warning: I would not bring my children here. I don't know who the owner is but an inspection is needed.

It's dirty and much mold in the shower. The carpet is almost non existent and worn down similar to felt and was like walking on concrete. Niedliche kleine Stadtunterkunft, tolles altes Haus. Aber! Das Zimmer ist klein, was ok ist aber das Badezimmer ist viel zu klein. Dusche und Toilette total beengt. Personal teils sehr freundlich. Eine Mitarbeiterin war etwas genervt. Sorry aber ich kann nichts dafür, wenn etwas im Haus nicht funktioniert. Was überhaupt nicht geht, ist, wenn die Toilettenspülung nicht richtig funktioniert. Morgens lief plötzlich kein Wasser mehr. Es kam eine Frau und drehte an einem Hahn. Ich solle warten. Wahrscheinlich lief das Wasser nur sehr langsam in den Spülkasten und reicht für 1-2 Spülgänge. Danach scheint es leer zu sein. Ich habe es mehrfach angesprochen. Sie wollen sich kümmern. Leider ist nichts passiert. Das ist unangenehm und sollte auch bei 1 * funktionieren! Ich öffnete beide Fenster, eins ließ sich nicht mehr schließen. Das war der Dame dann wohl zu viel. Es ist sehr sehr hellhörig und das Zimmer (1. Etage) heizte sich sehr auf. Nachts schlafen nur bei geöffnetem Fenster und mit Ohropax! Positiv war, dass ich einen Kaffee bekam. Frühstücken wollte ich nicht. Das war mir zu eng.

The room was spacious enough with a kitchen and decent sized bathroom. The major drawback is that the room was located across the street from the checkin area. Access is poorly lit (lights are on a timer). The staircase to my room is steep and difficult to manage with luggage. The staff is friendly and the area around the hotel is safe and quiet.

wasn't aware I'd booked breakfast and was charged for it even though I didn't have any on the first morning . also there's road works being carried out around the hotel which isn't there fault but the temporary road covers make a load noise though the night

We arrived 19:30 and the door was closed. A note said to use the pin code we should have received by email, which we never did. I kept knocking and after some time a housekeeper living next door came out gave me a key and allowed us to enter. Parking was a nightmare. You have to park in a parking house 10-15 mins away. They have 8 rooms and ours was like stepping into the historic past, but not in a good way. The carpet was very stained so I kept my socks on. Everything is ooooold and run down. The hotel needs some love and renovation but dogs are allowed and it was fairly priced. Breakfast could fit 6 people at the time and was simple but fresh. All were seated around same table and people were chatting, the room is tiny. I would not stay here again but it was quite an experience.

Je ne comprends pas comment cet hôtel peut bénéficier d'avis aussi favorables. Chambre n° 9. 20 heures. Sur le point de prendre une douche, je remarque que le robinet d’eau froide est totalement inopérant (il y a deux vieux robinets distincts chaud / froid). Descendu à l’accueil déjà fermé, je trouve un jeune employé qui me demande si j’ai bien tourné le robinet dans le bon sens... Formidable ! Il m’a alors indiqué ne rien pouvoir faire, toutes les chambres étant occupées, et m’a proposé de prendre une douche le lendemain après le départ de clients et la remise en état d'une chambre. Affligeant. Le lendemain matin, quand je suis descendu prendre mon petit-déjeuner, j’ai demandé à m’adresser au manager, en vain. Qui est-il ? Où est-il ? Travaille t’il seulement quelquefois dans l’établissement ? On ne le saura jamais. J’ai informé la personne en charge des petit-déjeuners et du check-out, de cette situation. A son tour, elle m’a déclaré ne rien pouvoir faire, si ce n’est me proposer de me doucher dans la chambre voisine, son occupant venant juste de quitter l’hôtel ! A aucun moment, un employé ne s'est déplacé pour tenter de résoudre le problème ou simplement le constater. Aucun responsable n'était officiellement présent pendant tout mon séjour. Aucun compensation ne m'a été proposé. Le mépris du client mais avec le sourire! Qui plus est, l'hygiène du rabat des toilettes était plus que douteuse (cf. photos jointes) Très mauvaise expérience, un lieu à éviter.

Quelques détails pourraient être améliorés chambre 4: cacher les fils d’antenne TV, mettre à disposition deux serviettes de toilette par personne. L’accueil est chaleureux, le séjour paisible et familiale.

Nous avons effectué 2 heures de route,nous avions payé etc avions la confirmation avec code de la réservation pour au final arriver sur place et que notre chambre sois louer a d’autres mais où et donc le professionnalisme je déconseille fortement

Impossible de se laver dans lavabo car étagère trop grande du coup d'ouvrir la porte pour se pencher la figure au dessus , WC contre le lavabo donc gymnastique, tâche de coulure sur les murs, grand cheveux et autres déchet humains sous le drap, déjeuner compliqué car sur une table de huit personnes dans l'accueil j'ai était obligé de me lever et de sortir de ma place assise car le livreur de linge passé entre ma place et l'accueil pour déposer le propre et reprendre le salle ce qui n'empêche pas que ma housse de matelas était anormalement salle,de plus les chambres 11 et 10 ont un bruit strident au dessus du plafond dur dur pour dormir, il n'y a pas je répète pas de place de parking et donc il est très compliqué de se garer au plus près pour nous ont s'est garer a 500 m le premier soir puis à 100 le deuxième soir car il était 21 h et ont à tourner un peu comme le premier soir

I travel extensively and Very seldom have I ever left a bad review. This Hotel is really a boarding house with the name Hotel attached. I will be attaching photos. It's dirty and much mold in the shower. The carpet is almost non existent and worn down similar to felt and was like walking on concrete. We kept our socks on all the time because of the scrunchy carpet. The room was cold and finally I was able to explain we needed a heater. The toilet often took a couple flushes to work. Not sure what that was about. There is No common area to use to chat with friends or other guests. Just a tiny landing as you came into the door that was often filled with dirty laundry bags. We had a friend there also but we had to meet in our room. The dining area was so small and the house keeper kept coming through with laundry holding bags over our heads. We attempted to find other lodging immediately after seeing the hotel and our room but we were in Caeñ for 5 nights with a friend but no place was available for that long of a stay. Warning: I would not bring my children here. I don't know who the owner is but an inspection is needed.

Literally the worst hotel either of us have ever stayed in. Absolutely atrocious. - We were given a room that wasn’t in the hotel; it was next door to the hotel and its door opened directly onto the street, which was noisy all night. It did not feel at all secure. - The en suite was tiny, filthy and smelled of urine. - The carpet was so dirty I was loath to walk on it without my shoes on. - Both the tv remote and the WIFI didn’t work (although these really were the least of the issues). - The beds were grubby. - The bathroom towels had been around the block far too many times. - The room experience wasn’t helped by the “surround sound” of other toilets being used in the rooms above. - The general state of repair of the room was appalling and filthy. Consequently it smelled dirty and generally unpleasant. We arrived late and were leaving early the next morning. Had this not been the case, we'd have refused to stay there and, as it is, I still managed to come away with several bites on my legs and back. It’s clear this is an inexpensive hotel. I don’t expect it to be beautiful, have a modern coffee machine or luxury toiletries. There is, however, never any excuse for a lack of basic hygiene and cleanliness and I do not expect to have to deal with the detritus of previous occupants or visit a pharmacy as a consequence of my stay. Awful.
