The room was very damp rug, towels, and stunk of chlorine and not clean properly found last guest cloths in bureau and key card. Saw old looked like brown dog poo on the rug. And bathroom sink had no hot water and bath tube looked dirty. I ckd out spent one night there.

My stay was terrible! The room itself was a disaster. It was dirty and uncomfortable. There was no safety latch on the door and no "Do Not Disturb" sign. The floor had not been vacuumed properly as there were coins all over the floor. There was an exposed wire on the rug under the air conditioning unit which also had Doritos under it. The tub had hair in it from the previous guests and the shower curtain was dirty. The ice machine on the first floor was broken and looked like it had been that way for a very long time. I went to a wedding, came home at midnight and was locked out of my room. I called the desk several times: no answer. I am a 65 year old woman who had to walk alone, late at night, outside, to get to the front desk where I found the clerk in the bathroom putting on make-up. She was rude and unconcerned that I was locked out and had to walk alone outside just to get assistance from her. She did not apologize or even ask if I was okay. She seemed angry that I was bothering her! She watched me walk out the door into the night and knew I had to walk around the building to get to my room. She could at least have offered to watch me until I was safely at my room. I will NEVER stay at New Hope Inn & Suites again and will tell EVERYONE I know that they should not either. And the clerk that was on that night should be reprimanded for her rude, uncaring demeanor that night!!!!

Upon arrival our room seemed okay, stuffy and obviously not recently occupied/cleaned. No big deal it wasn’t “dirty” just “still” it’s off season, I get it. The bathroom was the first red flag. The paint was peeling off the walls, there was gnats coming out of the drain and clear water damage/ mildew damage. The shower head was caked with soap-scum and the caulking was peeling away from the tub. There was a small what I assumed to be water bug on the floor, I killed it and moved on. We left to get dinner and came back to try the jacuzzi tub, honestly that wasn’t horrible, the jets were rusted a little but we ran them for a while and there wasn’t much floating around besides a few dead water gnats. We drained the tub, refilled it and enjoyed a bath. While in our bath we noticed a few dead bugs on the floor but once again chalked it up to being unoccupied. Once bed time came around we got into bed and besides the squeakiness the bed had a dramatic deep dip in the middle. Uncomfortably, we tried to sleep and as sitting there watching tv with the lights ON by the way, a HUGE roach crawled across the wall. Upon further inspection there was multiple roaches and spiders throughout the room. We decided to not stay the night and immediately left and drove the hour home to SHOWER and sleep in a clean and comfortable environment. I hate writing bad reviews but I don’t want anyone else to spend their money and have the same experience as us.

My room had been recently renovated apparently and was nicely done and squeaky clean. The lobby and public areas were also impressive and appeared to be recently redone. The complimentary breakfast bar included hot dishes well prepared. All in all, a pleasant stay for a reasonable Expedia price of $135.

Photos do not reflect the property condition. Our bed was comfortable, but there was an odor coming from the bathroom. Carpet was dirty. Outside property needed cleaning. Steps needed sweeping and cobwebs to be swept away. Lounge area had stains on fabric covered benches. Upon arrival we were met by a courteous but unenthusiastic staff member who was wearing an old sweatshirt and a baseball cap—not a good look. A good example of “you get what you pay for.” Too bad bc the location was good and the natural surroundings were attractive. The property is tired and is in desperate need of a renovation.
