We had a 2 night stay at the Inn to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The room was spacious and well furnished, the staff were uniformly friendly and efficient and the Inn itself had an excellent selection of beers and other drinks. We ate there on the first night and the standard of food (selection of small plates) was very good, as was the service. The breakfast was also superb. One word of warning, the car park only has 8 spaces, so first come, first served!

Good place a little noisy in the morning. On street parking is a nightmare on a bush road spaces are limited and you have to pay upto 6pm max stay 2 hours no return in 3 hours free after 6pm. Parking at rear is free but limited spaces. Breakfast is great the room is lovely, bar is pricey compared to Trotters across the road

Great hotel in the center of Harrogate with free on site parking (limted). Great food and tge beer was excellent. Only issue we had was tge annex we had was on tge ground floor and not very private as it was on the road

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay in the penthouse suite between Christmas and New Year. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a space in the property’s carpark so parked in the multi storey carpark close by. The location is very central. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, apart from one of the bar tenders, who we found to be quite rude and arrogant.

Everyone at the Cheltenham Inn were so welcoming from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. I travelled with my partner and 9 year old daughter. Everyone made an effort to interact with her which she enjoyed. We checked in late (8.45pm). We were all really hungry after a 3hr drive. Food was about to close but we were provided a lovely table and provided great service. The food was delicious. Another nice touch was a loyalty scheme you can sign up for. Upload £5 and you are given £10. We spent £50 on food and drink which then gave us an extra £4 reward which went towards a delicious cocktail off the menu. Really happy with the room as well. Spacious, character and comfortable beds. We had a double and a single. Only negative was that the hotel is in the centre of the city. The hotel has a very small car park to the rear but was full when we got there. We paid to park on the main street (Free overnight and about £5 for 3 hrs from 8am). We then moved the car round to the free car park once other guests checked out while we spent a few hours out and about. Great location, 7 minute walk to the train station.

The Inn is an extremely inviting place. The bar and restaurant area are really good. Food is exceptional we stayed on b&b basis and the breakfast is one of the best I've had. Room was large with a great bathroom. We managed to get parked at the hotel but there are limited spaces available. Great location for getting about in Harrogate with everything in a short walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel close to lots of bars and restaurants. Being Timothy Taylor owned you get a great range of ales at the bar. Superb breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn’t very clean thick layer of dust on shelf next to bed and bathroom wasn’t clean. On second day bed had been made and tea/coffee replaced but bins weren’t emptied and bathroom sink not cleaned. Location was great town centre only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was free and food was delicious although service was slow.

Bed protector under the sheets had blood on it and had not been changed. The noise level out side was loud. And the service at breakfast was shocking. The poistive the room was lovley and spacious.

Nice big room, and large bathroom. Excellent location and car parking a welcome bonus. Breakfast good too and well stocked bar. Minor complain was dealt with by manager appropriately. Staff pleasant. A positive experience and enjoyable stay.

Looks good in the pictures. Breakfast was ok. Room was very dated not clean see pictures. Upon checking out was advised the hotel was in thr process of looking for new owners. £10 for parking. Just a sorry no offer of partial refund for issues raised. Id not go back until full upgrade!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the inn at cheltenham parade. Really nice room lovely and warm really clean. Comfortable bed and a nice hot shower. Breakfast was really nice and their was a lot with unlimited tea and coffee. Overall it was amazing, only had 2 very small gripes. 1, we was in the annexe across the road which was really quiet but it did not have wi-fi, not too bothered but some might be. 2, the bath towels were a bit on the small side. As i said not really complaints but just telling reviewing. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice little hotel, clean right through. friendly helpful staff. Rooms spotless and inviting. Rooms in main building are up 2 or 3 flights of stairs , there are others at ground level for disabled people. Ok only problem was the serving time for breakfast 45minutes . Pictures are of room 7 .

Service was excellent, staff were friendly, plenty of tea/coffee & milk in the room. The cleanliness in the room was poor, the room was full of dust including inside of the fan & wood panelling, the bathroom had a strip of what looked like blood down the wall near the toilet

Better housekeeping required! My room was entirely panelled all the panels were dusty: easily sorted with a damp cloth. Towels left for replacement as instructed were not in fact replaced. A sopping bath at (because the shower leaked) had to be dried by me over the radiator. The Inn could be excellent: it aspires to be-but needs some attention to detail

We stayed in room 10. An apartment on the top floor. Our welcome was somewhat underwhelming and no offer of taking us up to the room or help with bags. Room is very spacious with a cute balcony. Lovely roll top bath and small cooking area. Apartment could do with a bit of renovation and a bit of care. Wood work all very scuffed and marked. Carpet stained. No glasses and would have been very difficult to cook using the minimal crockery and implements provided. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay Im just not sure it was worth the cost but a few simple tweaks could improve the experience.

We had a huge huge room and huge huge bathroom. Bed was comfy, breakfast delicious with a variety of options. Our room faced the road, but it was quiet at night and never disturbed us. Staff always on the ball and charming. Parking was on a first come basis but the meters out the front were always available and when you worked it out it wasn't overpriced. Highly recommended.

Fantastic large top floor bedroom-no good for guests with mobility issues as 49 steps to the room! Lovely and spacious with free standing bath and separate shower. Cosy balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was first class although menu a bit confusing ie-were you allowed cereal as well as or instead of a cooked breakfast. My only gripe was the parking which was first come first served (and one guest parked very selfishly over the white line while we were there) so slightly unfair that some guests paying almost £17 for multi storey car parking across the road whilst others don’t-therefore having cheaper accommodation overall. Would definitely stay again though and highly recommend. Great central position. Super friendly staff.

We had the penthouse right at the top of the Inn. Amazing room with lots of space. Small kitchen with cooker and fridge. Tea and coffee facilties, lityle balcony overlooking the main street.

Fine room though it was adjacent to the main road which was very noisy until midnight and then from 4am. We struggled to get any decent sleep and spoilt both our days out in Harrogate and York. Sunday night - we ate in the restaurant with a very limited menu. The burger was cold, the roast dinner was only just ok. We enjoyed a local restaurant on the Monday instead of dining in the hotel.

Great location in the city centre. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Breakfast was very good with generous portions and plenty of choice. The hotel is on the A61. Rooms at the front, such as ours, can be a little noisy. The traffic seemed mostly to stop overnight though.

It's an ideal location with plenty of restaurants and bars around. Free parking is definitely a huge bonus. The breakfast is cooked fresh to order with plenty of options. Excellent shower the downside was the bed we had was far too soft felt like it was sagging and it was rather low.

Perfect location...first day stay was pleasant and staff very professional and friendly...parking issue is a real problem ! Room very nice and bathroom good. Second day stay was good....still no update on possibility of a parking space. Breakfast on morning of departure was challenging. Older gentleman attending to breakfast was nothing short of rude and indifferent...same gentleman checked us out....really unpleasant last impression of the The Inn......the overall experience would have been a recommendation to anyone wanting to visit but only if aforementioned person learns some manners ...even just the basics....and customer care.

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay in the penthouse suite between Christmas and New Year. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a space in the property’s carpark so parked in the multi storey carpark close by. The location is very central. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, apart from one of the bar tenders, who we found to be quite rude and arrogant.

Best description would be okay. It’s basically a pub with rooms so I wasn’t really expecting too much. The rooms were a little tired and could probably do with a redecoration and a general facelift. Mattress probably in need of a change but it’s clean and serves its purpose. The pub itself is pretty good and the breakfast was also good. We were able to obtain one of the allocated parking spaces. All staff very friendly. Lovely breakfast. Staff went the extra mile. Weather was awful on the Sunday morning (lots of snow) and they helped us get the car out which took a bit of effort. All done in good humour. We would stay again.

The selection of Timmy Taylor Landlord ales was amazing and the barman was more than happy to let us sample them all before we settled on our tipple. Our room was the smaller of those available but well thought out and very cosy. Breakfast next morning ‘The Yorkshire Full’ was the best. There was a great alternative. selection. Again the staff were so friendly and helpful. 100% booking there again next time were Harrogate way👍

The hotel was charming, clean and very cozy. Very convenient for the shops and restaurants, 5 minute walk from the railway and bus stations. The Hotel staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Very clean. Staff were very friendly. Would have preferred a room not overlooking the road as there was quite a lot of traffic noise and I’m a light sleeper Great location with plenty of choices for nearby pubs and restaurants.

We had a lovely stay. Hotel was lovely and staff really friendly and do a fantastic job. Breakfast was beautiful and hearty. We stayed in a room which was at the back of hotel over the road. Wouldn't of chose this room but it was ok. Would of much preferred to have a room in the actual hotel. If we stay again i would request we want a room in the hotel. Room was adequate though with a lovely bathroom and all the amenities we needed. Tea and coffee and biscuits were provided. Would definitely stay here again as it was central to everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was convenient as it was really close to bars and the restaurant we chose to dine at that evening. The rooms were large and clean, and well catered with refreshments and amenities eg hairdryers and plenty of hangers for clothes. The staff were friendly and helpful and check in / check out was easy. Breakfast was included and was very good, with plenty of options depending on dietary requirements and the size of breakfast you would like. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Harrogate and we hope to come back again soon!

Great location in the city centre. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk. Breakfast was very good with generous portions and plenty of choice. The hotel is on the A61. Rooms at the front, such as ours, can be a little noisy. The traffic seemed mostly to stop overnight though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn’t very clean thick layer of dust on shelf next to bed and bathroom wasn’t clean. On second day bed had been made and tea/coffee replaced but bins weren’t emptied and bathroom sink not cleaned. Location was great town centre only a couple of minutes walk away. Breakfast was free and food was delicious although service was slow.

Fine room though it was adjacent to the main road which was very noisy until midnight and then from 4am. We struggled to get any decent sleep and spoilt both our days out in Harrogate and York. Sunday night - we ate in the restaurant with a very limited menu. The burger was cold, the roast dinner was only just ok. We enjoyed a local restaurant on the Monday instead of dining in the hotel.

Visiting Harrogate for weekend and this really was exceptional from start to finish top floor penthouse with everything you need for a longer stay with cooking facilities Great comfortable bed and huge stand-alone bath tub! We had a magnificent Sunday lunch with them very reasonably priced for size and quality too. Breakfast Full Yorkshire is a must have!! Great service great food great venue

Hotel was clean. The food was fantastic. The food was obviously cooked to order as on a morning it took a bit of time to be brought out, but was worth waiting for. Parking was at the rear of the hotel and easy to get to. On our checkout we asked if we could leave the car until mid afternoon. The hotel had no problem with this. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Good place a little noisy in the morning. On street parking is a nightmare on a bush road spaces are limited and you have to pay upto 6pm max stay 2 hours no return in 3 hours free after 6pm. Parking at rear is free but limited spaces. Breakfast is great the room is lovely, bar is pricey compared to Trotters across the road
