We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again!

Food was cooked to order and every meal was so good. There was plenty of choice and there was no problem when I asked for salad instead of chips. The plates were full of good tasty food. The bed was so comfortable that we slept through the nights.

Such a great room, especially with a dog. We had a door straight out in to a lsmall beer garden. Absolutely huge shower & extra large room were great too. Extremely good value room & very quiet. We also ate there on the evening & food was really good, all home made & a cheesecake to die for. We were doing a charity walk nearby at Buttermere on the Sat so it was perfectly positioned for us. Thanks again.

A beautiful room that was very clean and spacious. We couldn’t hear any noise from the other rooms or downstairs. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and the place felt very homely.
