Hotel La Hacienda de la Langosta Roja

For the price, this hotel is a really great value. The staff at check-in were very kind, and I really appreciated the free parking as well as how close the hotel is to the beach. The room itself is very basic, so you definitely get what you pay for, but overall it looked and felt clean. There were only two full-size bath towels along with a few smaller towels, so I do wish they provided a couple more, especially to have a separate towel for our hands. The room was warm when we first arrived, which is understandable considering how hot and humid San Felipe is, but once we turned on the AC, it cooled down fine. My biggest complaint was the curtains. They are not blackout curtains, and the hallway light came through VERY brightly all night. If you are sensitive to light when sleeping, I would definitely keep this in mind because it made it difficult for me to sleep. I also unfortunately found a roach in the bathroom when I got up during the night. I’m not sure if it came up through the drain or where it came from, but it crawled behind the sink. Aside from that incident, though, the room did appear clean. Overall, for the price, I think it’s a decent budget option. Just don’t expect anything fancy. The friendly staff, free parking, working AC, and affordability were definitely the positives for me. I personally will not be staying again.

Great location just a short walk from the malecón which offers many places to eat and tourist shops. The room is basic, but clean. It has a shampoo dispenser in the shower, but no hair dryer. The breakfast offered is cereal, toast and some pastries, but many places nearby offer full breakfast menus at reasonable prices. We went during the week, so no real crowds. The area was still noisy at night, with loud music coming from cars, but just pack ear plugs. They are pet friendly! We would stay here again.
