The hotel was great for what it was. Much cheaper than other options, still close to the train station, and right next to a shopping center and 24-hour convenience store. My only complaint is that in the description of the hotel, it claims access to laundry facilities. There are no such facilities that are accessible by customers. The hotel offers a laundry SERVICE, but does not offer facilities. There’s a rather large difference there, especially in terms of the total cost.

Das Zimmer ist ideal für einen Kurzaufenthalt, zweckmäßig und sauber. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Das Personal ( am Empfang, im Zimmerservice und im Speisesaal) war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mich hat die Grosszügigkeit , mit dem Parkticket beeindruckt. Da im Haus eine große Gruppe Sportler anwesend war, wurde mir am ersten Tag das Parkticket nicht verrechnet, da die Möglichkeit bestand, dass ich keinen Parkplatz mehr habe👍 Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal. Kurzer Weg in die Stadt und zur Autobahn. Nachts muss man die Fenster schließen, sonst hört man den Autolärm, ist aber kein Problem.

The staff was helpful. There are other budget hotels i've been to and they made the customer stay comfortable. This hotel is NOT comfortable - too many negatives to mention. To cite a few - shower head is not installed properly - it keeps falling so you have to hold it. The door to the toilet has a hole instead of a door knob, there is a hole with a missing door knob so left a hole there - no privacy. There's no kettle for hot water. The comforter provided for one of us has a red nasty looking blanket. The sink is clogged which we reported but no one came to resolve the issue. I dont normally write reviews but just want to warn my fellow travellers. Overall, i dont think this particular location of Ibis (Winterthur) is well-maintained. I dont know about the other locations.

La chambre est assez petite et il y avait des fourmis qui venait depuis la fenêtre alors que nous étions au 4e étage. La lumière de la toilette s’allume de manière automatique mais il faut être tres grand ou sauter pour le capteur nous repère et il s’éteint aussi très rapidement.

Wie hatten für 3 Personen reserviert.Leider waren nur 2 Handtücher im Zimmer.Am Fenster lag vom Vormieter noch eine Zigarette.Am abend liesen irgenwellche PS-Prolle ihre Autos aufheulen.Frühstück war soweit ganz ok.Leider war das Personal etwas mit dem Ansturm überfordert.1 Person für abräumen und affüllen war etwas wenig.Obwohl die Dame ihr möglichstes getan hat.

Very bad location just above the Mc Donald. Noisy very late at night and moreover it was impossible to close the window. It is like all the nightlife of Winterthur takes place next to a hamburger. The standart of the room is the one of a low level Ibis budget (something between an hospital room and a prison cell + you feel it becomes old)The person at the reception was really nice. Anyway, i could think to come back here (only for the price, not for the pleasure, let's not exaggerate), but only when this fast food downstairs will have disappeared 😊

Dit was echt een budget kamer voor een veel te dure prijs. Om meteen op de kamer te kunnen moest ik 30 frank meer betalen bovenop de toch al dure prijs. De kamer was schoon maar zeer klein. Ook het 3de bed boven het 2-persoonsbed was onhandig. Mijn partner heeft meermalen zijn hoofd gestoten. Het personeel was vriendelijk. Voor mij nooit meer.

My only issue is the bed! The bed was so hard, i couldn’t have enough sleep and rest. After a day road trip you want to relax your muscles, but on this mattress it was impossible! I woke up three times at night to find a way it won’t hurt my back or butt… jeeezz! It’s lime sleeping on the wood covered with bedsheets.

The pillows were so thin. It was like laying your head straight on the mattress. I asked for another one. It arrived 40 minutes later- actually that’s not quite true, a duvet arrived 40 minutes later. I folded it up and used it as a pillow. The shower is annoying. There’s a hole in the door so when you use it it soaks the floor. And you don’t have any spare towels to clean it. Also at 09:07 someone opened our door whilst we were sleeping. Granted we didn’t have our do not disturb sign up. But I thought they would have given a couple of seconds notice after knocking. They knocked on the door and opened it almost immediately.

I don't know why Expedia gave me this hotel as an option in Zurich area as it takes about 25 min to get there from Zurich by train and 10 min by bus, which costs about €60 for 3 people. The area around the hotel is really nice and quiet, but the best thing is staff at the hotel. Two very nice young ladies answered questions about my trip in details, and also made some accomodations for me because the first room didn't work for us. There's always somebody at the front desk, and they are so kind and helpful. The nearest supermarket is a 10 min walk, and the train station is 15. Not many good options for restaurants unless you go towards the train station.
