Staff and facilities are superb. When checking in they gave you a choice of wine or soft drinks and some cheese and biscuits. They take your bags to the room. They have an on site restaurant which is a little limited, but with the number of guests it’s great that they now do this, so you can have an evening meal without having to going out. This is a boutique hotel where the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Sheldon and all the other staff are just amazing. The rooms are a good size and the bed was really comfortable, the infinity pool is lovely and the views are spectacular. We had an early check out before breakfast service and they sent us off with a huge breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, croissants, muffins, sandwiches and drinks. Typical of the attention to service that you get at Clouds Estate. Just a fantastic stay!!!

This is luxury personified. Stunning views, wonderful rooms with the option to stay in bespoke accommodation. Such as a private pool or hot tub options. There is simply no better view on the Helshgoote Pass. Staff were extremely helpful with nice touches to enhance guests stay throughout. This is a high end luxury hotel with a relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be returning.

We stayed in a deluxe villa on the estate. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and it was easy to book a reasonably priced transfer from the airport. They kindly allowed us a complimentary (very) early check in and that was fantastic after a long flight. The room was very spacious with a stunning view from the patio. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a working kitchen with a coffee machine and tea and coffee and complimentary wine, beer and snacks. The amenities were very comprehensive. The bed was large and comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of cut fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon and pastries plus a cooked to order hot choice (including eggs royale!). My husband is very fussy about his coffee but said the coffee he was served was perfect. We had lunch and dinner there and although there was limited choice, all the meals were very tasty and the portions large. We had a private wine tasting of five of the Estate’s wines which we really enjoyed. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend a stay here if in stellenbosch.

Uma joia em meio aos vinhedos de Stellenbosch. Há anos planejava a ida ao Clouds e nao me decepcionei. Ficamos na pool suite onde compartilhavamos a piscina apenas com o quarto do lado. É uma suíte nova, moderna, espaçosa e com a linda vista das montanhas. A equipe é muito bem trinada. Todos muito educados e solícitos. Agendamos transfer de ida e volta e passeio de meio dia nas vinícolas. Foi tudo excelente. Contudo achamos que o servico na cozinha pode melhorar para ficar a altura do hotel. Falta um pouco de sabor na comida e a montagem dos fronks tambem pode ser aprimorada. O ambiente publico do hotel parece uma casa e te faz se sentor muito a vontade. Obrigada Caches, Samantha, Jardene, Thuli, Leticha and Caroline. Quero muito agradecer também ao Ashton que fez um excelente servico de motorista nos transfers e passeios.

Dinner in the evening was excellent and a lovely selection of hot and cold breakfast choices each morning. The pool area was clean and welcoming with stunning views making this a very relaxing few days. Staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. A fabulous venue to celebrate a special Birthday. We received a recommendation for dinner at Graff estate next door and we were driven and collected by concierge at Clouds by golf buggy. We hope to return soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay, one I shall never forget. A huge thanks to Sharon for being so helpful and informative about the area.

Hotel was beautiful, if out in the country a bit. You need a car to get you from Capetown to Stellenbosch and then to the Clouds estate. Once there, the facilities are really nice and space is well used and appears larger than it actually is. The room was quite comfortable for 2 people. The lounge and deck are great meeting places and for dinner.

We loved our stay at Clouds. Our only regret was not staying longer. Adrien greeted us and looked after us incredibly well throughout our stay, and really went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and the grounds were immaculate. Overall, can’t recommend highly enough to anyone staying in the area.

Very disappointed. Rooms not as in the picture. This is not high end. We booked the new suite which had pictures of vineyard views and we got dark room facing trees. The room was not great - hair on floor, dirty work tops, broken security gate, blocked shower, dark bed sheets (hate that as you can’t be sure clean and not typical in 5 star). The room is new and furnished to a good standard but the wider hotel is really more 3 star and very basic. Staff lovely and super helpful, but the manager had a real attitude, doesn’t want to hear anything negative, didn’t come back as she said she would on our issues and only interested in her margin. We booked for 4 days and left after 2. Very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a 5 start experience. There are far better hotels for the same money in the area.

Unfortunately quite rude staff and not very clean rooms. In particular the male manager was nonchalant, superiour and not very service-minded. Overall the rooms are in need of an upgrade, as they are somewhere worn down, while the main building was good. The restaurant was not very good (at least for lunch). Would not recommend and not go back myself. The good things about this place is the closeness to Delaire Graff and the views, which can’t be argued.

We had a really lovely stay here for part of our honeymoon! The views are breathtaking, and the room was clean, large, and modern, and it was easy to get to both Stellenbosch and Franschoek as needed. The team was really helpful, even providing breakfast packs for our extremely early departure, which was very appreciated.

We only spent one night at this property during the last day of our trip to South Africa. We really wish we had booked additional nights. WOW. We stayed in Room #7 which had an amazing balcony set-up that allowed us to view both sides of the valley at different times of the day. The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. All of the rooms have amazing views and easy access to the pool area and lounge. The staff were fantastic. They assisted us with making dinner reservations at the neighbouring Delaire Graff and accommodated a late check out. We were able to store our luggage and enjoyed their "shower room" before heading off to the airport for a late flight home. The breakfast was excellent and taken on the patio overlooking the pool and the valley. The kitchen and bar staff were very attentive to our needs. This is a very small resort which makes it very comfortable and quiet. The perfect spot for a nice relaxing visit of the Stellenbosch area. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back if we make it to this part of the world again.

Wir hatten eine Junior Garden Suite mit toller Aussicht auf die Landschaft und Weinberge. Das Zimmer war luxuriös ausgestattet und sehr geräumig und sauber. Auch das Frühstück sowie der Ausblick sind wunderbar. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vom Clouds gibt es über ein Tor einen Zugang zum Delaire, wo man hervorragend essen kann.

An amazing stay. Service was excellent - in particular Hugo and Abigail stepped in when one of our party was ill, contacting a doctor and the local hospital on our behalf. The villa we stayed in was spectacular, with an infinity pool for the villa area. Food was outstanding as were the wines.

The room is new and furnished to a good standard but the wider hotel is really more 3 star and very basic. Staff lovely and super helpful, but the manager had a real attitude, doesn’t want to hear anything negative, didn’t come back as she said she would on our issues and only interested in her margin. We booked for 4 days and left after 2. Very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a 5 start experience. There are far better hotels for the same money in the area.

They have an on site restaurant which is a little limited, but with the number of guests it’s great that they now do this, so you can have an evening meal without having to going out. This is a boutique hotel where the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Sheldon and all the other staff are just amazing. The rooms are a good size and the bed was really comfortable, the infinity pool is lovely and the views are spectacular. We had an early check out before breakfast service and they sent us off with a huge breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, croissants, muffins, sandwiches and drinks. Typical of the attention to service that you get at Clouds Estate. Just a fantastic stay!!!

This is luxury personified. Stunning views, wonderful rooms with the option to stay in bespoke accommodation. Such as a private pool or hot tub options. There is simply no better view on the Helshgoote Pass. Staff were extremely helpful with nice touches to enhance guests stay throughout. This is a high end luxury hotel with a relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be returning.

We stayed in a deluxe villa on the estate. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and it was easy to book a reasonably priced transfer from the airport. They kindly allowed us a complimentary (very) early check in and that was fantastic after a long flight. The room was very spacious with a stunning view from the patio. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a working kitchen with a coffee machine and tea and coffee and complimentary wine, beer and snacks. The amenities were very comprehensive. The bed was large and comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of cut fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon and pastries plus a cooked to order hot choice (including eggs royale!). My husband is very fussy about his coffee but said the coffee he was served was perfect. We had lunch and dinner there and although there was limited choice, all the meals were very tasty and the portions large. We had a private wine tasting of five of the Estate’s wines which we really enjoyed. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. We only spent one night at this property during the last day of our trip to South Africa. We really wish we had booked additional nights. WOW. We stayed in Room #7 which had an amazing balcony set-up that allowed us to view both sides of the valley at different times of the day. The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. All of the rooms have amazing views and easy access to the pool area and lounge. The staff were fantastic. They assisted us with making dinner reservations at the neighbouring Delaire Graff and accommodated a late check out. We were able to store our luggage and enjoyed their "shower room" before heading off to the airport for a late flight home. The breakfast was excellent and taken on the patio overlooking the pool and the valley. The kitchen and bar staff were very attentive to our needs. This is a very small resort which makes it very comfortable and quiet. The perfect spot for a nice relaxing visit of the Stellenbosch area. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back if we make it to this part of the world again.

An amazing stay. Service was excellent - in particular Hugo and Abigail stepped in when one of our party was ill, contacting a doctor and the local hospital on our behalf. The villa we stayed in was spectacular, with an infinity pool for the villa area. Food was outstanding as were the wines.

Unfortunately quite rude staff and not very clean rooms. In particular the male manager was nonchalant, superiour and not very service-minded. Overall the rooms are in need of an upgrade, as they are somewhere worn down, while the main building was good. The restaurant was not very good (at least for lunch). Would not recommend and not go back myself. The good things about this place is the closeness to Delaire Graff and the views, which can’t be argued.

Clouds Estate was simply breathtakingly beautiful experience. Fabulous, luxury accommodation set within the vineyards of Stellenbosch. Dinner in the evening was excellent and a lovely selection of hot and cold breakfast choices each morning. The pool area was clean and welcoming with stunning views making this a very relaxing few days. Staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. A fabulous venue to celebrate a special Birthday. We received a recommendation for dinner at Graff estate next door and we were driven and collected by concierge at Clouds by golf buggy. We hope to return soon. Wonderful hotel nestled between the mountains and hills around Stellenbosch. Great views from the room, restaurant and pool area. Clouds Estate ligger i en fantastisk miljö, helt otroliga utsikter. Vi bodde i en villa, jättefin liten uteplats med fantastisk utsikt. Det enda som drar ner poänget är middagen i restaurangen - helt OK men ingen wow-faktor. Frukosten va dock jättebra, och servicen under hela vistelsen va i topp-klass.

La mejor decisión quedarnos en este hotel. Pasamos por varios hoteles en Stellenbosch & coincidimos tiene de las mejores vistas, ya que el hotel está rodeado de montañas. El personal es súper amable. Samantha en recepción nos ayudó a conseguir una reservación en un restaurante a última hora. El cuarto en el que nos quedamos fue el estándar. Amplio & con terraza privada. La cama & almohadas muy cómodas. Tiene café, te & un frigobar con varias bebidas de cortesía. Comida & bebidas deliciosas. Nos incluyeron una cata de vinos en nuestra estancia, sin costo. La ubicación es excelente. Cerca de viñedos famosos, & a 10-15 min del centro en coche. Lo único que cambiaría sería agregar una puerta en la regadera del baño, al bañarte, el agua se sale fácilmente dejando mojado el baño. Agregaría más opciones de comida (desayuno, comida & cena) Agregaría algo de calefacción a la alberca. Estábamos a 36 grados & aún así era difícil meterse a la alberca por lo fría que estaba. & mejoraría el servicio en el área de alberca, ya que teníamos que estar yendo a buscar a alguien para que nos sirviera bebidas. We had a really lovely stay here for part of our honeymoon! The views are breathtaking, and the room was clean, large, and modern, and it was easy to get to both Stellenbosch and Franschoek as needed. The team was really helpful, even providing breakfast packs for our extremely early departure, which was very appreciated.

Hotel was beautiful, if out in the country a bit. You need a car to get you from Capetown to Stellenbosch and then to the Clouds estate. Once there, the facilities are really nice and space is well used and appears larger than it actually is. The room was quite comfortable for 2 people. The lounge and deck are great meeting places and for dinner.

We stayed in a deluxe villa on the estate. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and it was easy to book a reasonably priced transfer from the airport. They kindly allowed us a complimentary (very) early check in and that was fantastic after a long flight. The room was very spacious with a stunning view from the patio. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a working kitchen with a coffee machine and tea and coffee and complimentary wine, beer and snacks. The amenities were very comprehensive. The bed was large and comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of cut fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon and pastries plus a cooked to order hot choice (including eggs royale!). My husband is very fussy about his coffee but said the coffee he was served was perfect. We had lunch and dinner there and although there was limited choice, all the meals were very tasty and the portions large. We had a private wine tasting of five of the Estate’s wines which we really enjoyed. Service was extremely friendly and efficient. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend a stay here if in stellenbosch.

We really enjoyed our stay. The service was amazing. The breakfast was really good, many options for lunch and supper. The location is perfect for visiting wineries around. There is a parking for the cars. I would recommand Clouds no doubt.

Uma joia em meio aos vinhedos de Stellenbosch. Há anos planejava a ida ao Clouds e nao me decepcionei. Ficamos na pool suite onde compartilhavamos a piscina apenas com o quarto do lado. É uma suíte nova, moderna, espaçosa e com a linda vista das montanhas. A equipe é muito bem trinada. Todos muito educados e solícitos. Agendamos transfer de ida e volta e passeio de meio dia nas vinícolas. Foi tudo excelente. Contudo achamos que o servico na cozinha pode melhorar para ficar a altura do hotel. Falta um pouco de sabor na comida e a montagem dos fronks tambem pode ser aprimorada. O ambiente publico do hotel parece uma casa e te faz se sentor muito a vontade. A lovely hotel, friendly comfortable and with a lot of nice art work inside and around. We have stayed here before, so knew what to expect. Things were not so good this time in the restaurant though. The dinner menu was very limited, with only four mains. The spaghetti of the day was the same every day, so was the fish of the day on an inedible veg base. There was another pasta, a lasagne with egg plant which was bland the . Staying for four days we had to go out to get a decent meal. Breakfast was great as usual. Our other complaint was when coming back at 8pm having been out, there was no one at the gate to let us into the drive. We spent 15 minutes flashing the car lights, hooting the horn. To no avail. The gate call buttons were not working, and my wife had to squeeze through the gate and walk 10 minutes uphill in the dark to get someone to open the gates. We got no apology!

Clouds Estate was simply breathtakingly beautiful experience. Fabulous, luxury accommodation set within the vineyards of Stellenbosch. Dinner in the evening was excellent and a lovely selection of hot and cold breakfast choices each morning. The pool area was clean and welcoming with stunning views making this a very relaxing few days. Staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. A fabulous venue to celebrate a special Birthday. We received a recommendation for dinner at Graff estate next door and we were driven and collected by concierge at Clouds by golf buggy. We hope to return soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay, one I shall never forget. A huge thanks to Sharon for being so helpful and informative about the area.

Wonderful hotel nestled between the mountains and hills around Stellenbosch. Great views from the room, restaurant and pool area. Very friendly staff and excellent food quality in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner). Improvement point: staff could be more proactive when it comes to restaurants and wineries in the region.

We had the most glorious stay in Clouds. The room and view were magnificent and the staff kind and attentive. This was off season so it was quiet, which was charming in itself. This was our last night in South Africa after an amazing vacation in Sabi Sands and the Western Cape. Clouds was a lovely place to finish our 30th anniversary trip and they were generous with bespoke attention. I would absolutely recommend here and would love to see it in the summer months too. Dinner and breakfast were very good. This is a beautiful area of the country.

We absolutely loved Clouds Estate and would absolutely return should we go back to Stellenbosch. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lovely birthday surprise for my husband, they left cake, wine, treats. It was lovely. We loved our room., especially the underfloor heating in the bathroom. There was a sitting area and a balcony overlooking the pool area. I love a Nespresso machine in a room and they had lots of pods to choose from. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a continental selection along with a menu to choose a cooked option. Also, they had their sparkling wine at breakfast, such a treat (well, you're on holiday, so why not!!) The views are truly spectacular. Book Clouds Estate, you won't be disappointed

Great location Beautiful views Staff amazing, did all they could to accommodate any requests Villa 14 didnt meet my expectations unfortunately. Needs renovating and the ant infestation was a problem. Bedroom lacked a mirror and is small in comparison to lounge. I would have liked a slightly larger bedroom, smaller lounge. Bedroom had no space to put your suitcase But cant fault it overall I think we got unlucky with a tired looking villa.

Book this! You will not regret it. We just returned from a beautiful stay at Clouds and we couldn’t be happier. It was by far the best choice - stunning location, rooms, pool, food(!) and most importantly the staff. We will 100% be returning. We have travelled to a lot of 5* properties around worlds and this was truly special. A good point to note is that it’s right next door to the Delaire Graff Estate which is worth a visit for wine tasting, or lunch/dinner (they offer a free shuttle service). Also right beside some spectacular wineries, Tokara & Bartinney.
