Great spot. Central location in Zermatt. The hotel staff are very helpful. The Golden Lok restaurant in the hotel has excellent food and a great unique atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel.

Newer, modern hotel with an elevator. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast included. Pizza at the onsite restaurant was excellent. Only downsides are the room was fairly small and shower while it was spacious with lots of hot water and great water pressure, it’s very slippery. With a king-size bed it’s tight. But bed was comfortable. Bath towels were bigger than most. About a 6 min walk to train station. If you want newer with modern comforts this is a great choice.

Easy and flat walk from train station. Great location, quiet. Room is small, but has an efficient layout. Large shower. Nice breakfast with views of the Materhorn. Great dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Perfect for train enthusiasts.

This property is very nice and very serviceable. The Golden Lok restaurant on the hotel property is wonderful with the restored and gilded locomotive engine from 1898 Gornergratt Railway. The food was excellent too!

Loved this cozy little hotel! Very nice and clean. Beds were comfy, and staff was friendly. The free breakfast was great, and I liked that the hotel had a bar for a night cap. 10/10 would recommend!

Hotel is within walking distance of train station. Reception provided me with directions (prior to arrival) from train station and they were spot on! Hotel walking distance to everything Rooms were a decent size. Waiter was lovely and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and varied Had pizza one night at the restaurant and it was delicious. Would recommend staying at Hotel Tannenhof

Små rom. Vanskelig å få plass til bagasje. Dårlig utvalg på frokost og trege med å fylle på. Prøve å kjøpe en øl på terrassen men de hadde ingen som kunne servere før etter kl 18.00. Håpløst!! En positiv ting. Hotellet ligger sentralt. Velger ikke dette hotellet neste gang.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tannenhof and can’t wait to return. Everything was spot-on, from the pristine rooms and helpful staff to the amenities and delicious breakfast. The central location made it easy to explore everything Zermatt has to offer.

2nd time visiting. Wish we could have stayed longer. I can’t compare it to others as this is the only place in Zermatt we have stayed. Only complaint - very warm. Not sure if there is HVAC or wasn’t working.

What a great hotel. Location is fantastic. Hotel was clean, room was small but very efficiently designed to make our stay very comfortable. Staff was very professional. We loved this hotel and would definitely return.

Zimmer war sauber, aber sehr klein. Badezimmer sehr schön. Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Sehr kleine Auswahl und alles leer. Kein Orangensaft, keine Croissant, kein Kaffee weil Behälter voll, keine Eier… auf Anfrage kam dann auch nichts. Da gehen wir nicht mehr hin.

I would have liked to rate this hotel a 5, but there was one thing that let it down. While the rooms do not have AC, what could make the stay more pleasant would be a fan. There is no air circulation in the room and you can only crack the window open slightly- while the nights do get cooler in Zermatt, it’s not enough to get some air ventilation. The room - though beautiful, clean and spacious was stuffy and hot which didn’t make for the best night sleep.

Everything was beautiful. Just staff never knew anything and our room was nice just really small. Really small which was told by staff that we had the deluxe room which I didn’t believe. Rm11 don’t get it. Now room 12 was the but larger but doable.

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, perfect location. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the air conditioner to work & we were hot until we opened the window. That was great until 7am when construction on the hotel next door resumed. Sleep was out of reach for us; completely out of everyone’s control, including the hotel.

Patricia, Saskia, and John were all very positive and patient with all the guests during our stay in unique circumstances. Zermatt received a once in a lifetime snowstorm, losing accessibility for over 48 hours, and had no electricity for over 42 hours. However, these great folks did their best to make sure that we were in as good of shape as possible and never lost their smiles.

Patricia, Saskia, and John were all very positive and patient with all the guests during our stay in unique circumstances. Zermatt received a once in a lifetime snowstorm, losing accessibility for over 48 hours, and had no electricity for over 42 hours. The front desk staff at this hotel were amazing! They really took care of us. And even though we didn't have a reservation at the restaurant (and they were full), they gave us a glass of wine while we waited and got us in quickly. And it was fantastic! Great hotel in Zermatt!

Location of the property is perfect. It’s just off the Main Street with all the restaurants and bars but far enough back to be away from the noise. It’s also convenient for both train, gondola and fenicular stations.

This property was the perfect choice for our 3 night stay in Zermatt. It was right in the center of town with only a 5 min walk to the train station yet it still felt peaceful and quiet. The rooms are beautifully appointed with modern yet elegant decor. The bed, sheets and pillows were excellent quality and I slept like the dead each and every night. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendship which added to the enjoyment of our stay. Lastly, the breakfast was more of a continental style breakfast but it was perfectly adequate with great quality breads, cheese, yogurt, cereal, etc. If I return to Zermatt I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Hotel walking distance to everything Rooms were a decent size. Waiter was lovely and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and varied Had pizza one night at the restaurant and it was delicious. Would recommend staying at Hotel Tannenhof

We spent one night at the hotel, the room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good. It was a short walk to the Main Street and a 5 min walk from the train station and main attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Tannenhof is in a perfect, central location steps away from beautiful Matterhorn views and the charming shopping streets of Zermatt. The hotel is clean and modern with a wonderful restaurant for dinner. Francesco at the front desk was very helpful.

Excellent hotel! Very clean and nice accommodations. Good breakfast, nice balcony in the room, quiet and easy to get places. We especially loved the restaurant in the hotel - it was amazing!

Overall good, the breakfast options weren't great and the pillows were dreadful, not sure I got a full night sleep once sadly, everything else was great.

Really nice stay at the Tannenhof. It was a shame the restaurant wasn't open at the time of out stay but we were able to enjoy breakfast at the hotel although many things ran out before the 10am finish. The bedroom was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was lovely but there were no towel hooks or any place to hang and dry towels. The plugs in the room required a special shape adaptor which meant we had to go and buy additional adaptors. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall a lovely stay

Great hotel, super well located (city center), everything is walking distance and the room and bathroom is modern and beautiful. Great experience overall. It is really quiet at night and the balcony is a pleasant area to sit and read a book. Breakfast was very simple, we would love some scrambled eggs and more fruit options.

Zimmer war sauber, aber sehr klein. Badezimmer sehr schön. Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Sehr kleine Auswahl und alles leer. Kein Orangensaft, keine Croissant, kein Kaffee weil Behälter voll, keine Eier… auf Anfrage kam dann auch nichts. Da gehen wir nicht mehr hin.

A terrific gem of a hotel just off the Main Street. The front rooms have wonderful Matterhorn views. The restaurant has some of the best wood-fired pizza I’ve ever had. Great all around!! Will definitely stay there when back in Zermatt.

The hotel was about 7-8 min walk from train station and right in the area to enjoy shops and restaurants with ease. Clean and had the needed amenities and fairly spacious compared to a couple of other hotel stays. Only minor thing is that the balcony overlooked the service entrance for the hotel next door and the workers liked to congregate for breaks. With no a/c it was nice to leave windows/door open. They could’ve been a little quieter as the night wore on. The reception was great and they suggested some places to eat and even suggested a slight change to plans based on the weather up top which worked out well.

Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Nur ein kleines Minus: etwas sollte wegen die viele Fliegen beim Frühstückbuffee gemacht werden. Sonst alles prima!
