Over all the hotel is not bad but I think it is becoming a bit rundown there needs to be more attention to the customer gardeners filling up water buckets at breakfast lots of rubbish in plane sight from the breakfast balcony no bar available at times. But in a good location.

Beautifully building. Not suitable for disabled as there are some stairs Attractive restaurant. Food good. Only niggle was one glass of wine was a little small, but rectified on request.

Very nice hotel with an amazing roof terrace great for relaxing at sunset with a bottle of wine. Rooms are very nice not your average benalmadena hotel room, large beds, dressing gowns thise sort of touches. Nice pool area only a few sunbeds. Location is away from coast but lovely typical streets with nice bars and restaurants

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant served good tapas at a reasonable price. The room was big and with a big, comfortable bed. It was nice that spa was included in the price for the room

We had 2 nights at La Fonda and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a beautiful old building that has recently been sympathetically renovated. Beautiful spacious bedroom with large en suite. The pool area, sun terrace and foyer are stunning. Good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast.

We stayed for 3 weeks. The receptionists allways seemed like they didnt want any guests. Never smiling or being helpful. The cleaning staff were very friendly, and the rooms are very clean. The kitchen staff are very nice, and friendly. The food is good, but allways the same. This Hotel is the most noisy hotel we ever visited. Our room was in the top, so we could hear people slamming their doors, listening to music or talking extremely loud, several times each night. We never slept more than 2 hours in a row. The Hotel, as a building, is very clean, and well maintained.

Dejligt hotel, klods op af et lille hyggeligt torv med restauranter, og langt væk fra kystens forfærdeligheder. Dog trænger det til en renovering, men så stiger priserne jo også, men et dejligt ophold alt i alt!

What a lovely hotel. The room was lovely, very clean. The staff were very nice and couldn’t do enough to make our stay so good especially the chambermaids. The breakfast was very good. And we’d be happy to recommend this hotel to anybody it really is a nice hotel in a lovely little pueblo

There was a lot of construction going on while we visited. So, it was quite noisy and messy in the hotel. Our room was clean, but I think there must have been some recent renovation because it smelled quite a bit of paint. The staff were nice and the included breakfast was good. I recommend not staying on the first floor, however. The room was close to the restaurant, so that made sleeping difficult because of the noise. Also, one night there was a man having an argument with someone and we could hear everything. It persisted off and on until after midnight, at which point we called the front desk. To be fair, the noise stopped immediately, and we didn’t hear anything else for the rest of our stay. Parking was convenient but requires some technical driving skills getting into the garage and spaces.

Had a 4 night stay at La Fonda, spent most of my time on the upper terrace relaxing on either a sunbed or chair. The terrace has been very nicely designed with lots of greenery and laid out allowing you to have privacy. Lovely views of the ocean. My room was very nice and comfortable with everything that I needed, particularly the tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice and the option of ordering eggs cooked to your choice. Only downside was that the hot offering wasn't as hot as I like it, that said their was a microwave available. Would I stay there again, absolutely

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very traditional. Beautiful rooms, great views. Lovely spa. Breakfast was very good, eggs all freshly cooked. We had an evening meal at the restaurant, it was very good & amazing value. There are some lovely little courtyards with restaurants & bars near the hotel. The main resorts ,are all within a 10-20 min cab ride. If you want a break ,with a traditional Spanish feel, look no further than La Fonda, we will definitely return

Supervenligt personale og meget flotte omgivelser, men hvordan de har fået 4 stjerner er mig en gåde. Det er meget lydt, så man kan høre alle funktionergfra de omkringliggende værelser. Og så er morgenmaden først 8.30. Fint hvis det er ferie, men ikke fint, hvis man skal arbejde dernede med aftaler kl. 8.30 ude i byen.

There was a lot of construction going on while we visited. So, it was quite noisy and messy in the hotel. Our room was clean, but I think there must have been some recent renovation because it smelled quite a bit of paint. The staff were nice and the included breakfast was good. I recommend not staying on the first floor, however. The room was close to the restaurant, so that made sleeping difficult because of the noise. Also, one night there was a man having an argument with someone and we could hear everything. It persisted off and on until after midnight, at which point we called the front desk. To be fair, the noise stopped immediately, and we didn’t hear anything else for the rest of our stay. Parking was convenient but requires some technical driving skills getting into the garage and spaces.

Very nice hotel with an amazing roof terrace great for relaxing at sunset with a bottle of wine. Rooms are very nice not your average benalmadena hotel room, large beds, dressing gowns thise sort of touches. Nice pool area only a few sunbeds. Location is away from coast but lovely typical streets with nice bars and restaurants

We loved La Fonda, a lovely boutique hotel and especially that it’s in the beautiful and peaceful Benalmadena Pueblo. It’s a 10 minute/€15 taxi to the Marina and Benalmadena centre. My ‘but’ is, on Hotels.con it says it’s close to the beach but it definitely isn’t! We ate in beautiful restaurants close by, Le Cepa and La Fuenta and highly recommend both, then a 2 minute stroll back to the hotel. Lovely bars nearby too. Highly recommend

Unfortunately we were unaware that works were going on outside the hotel, and had been for the last year. Paving renewals were coming towards the end when we got there but nevertheless there were large areas where blocks were missing and manholes had to be levelled. Noise was ongoing from about 8am due to blocks having to be cut to fill gaps. Obviously the hotel was not at fault as these works had to be completed, but I felt we should have been advised that these works were being done at the booking stage. We booked a table for 6 people one night, and invited 4 friends (also on there holidays, but staying elsewhere) to join us. 2 of the starters ordered were incorrectly sent from the kitchen, and the two recipients had to wait a further 10-15 minutes for their correct order. We then received the main meals, and sadly 4 out of the 6 were not very nice at all. They were both 2 for sharing Paella's which were well overcooked with the rice being almost dry. We presumed that was as a result of the starters being incorrect, and the time taken in cooking new starters. All in all not a very spectacular experience. Fortunately my wife and I had stayed at the La Fonda Hotel 2 times in previous years and new that the Hotel were much better than this, and not withstanding not informing us of the works being carried out around the Hotel we will give them a further chance to get back up to standard.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very traditional. Beautiful rooms, great views. Lovely spa. Breakfast was very good, eggs all freshly cooked. We had an evening meal at the restaurant, it was very good & amazing value. There are some lovely little courtyards with restaurants & bars near the hotel. The main resorts ,are all within a 10-20 min cab ride. If you want a break ,with a traditional Spanish feel, look no further than La Fonda, we will definitely return

What a find! In Benalmadena Pueblo. The old village is a delight. Quiet lots of restaurants and nice bars/easy link to Mijas and train station by bus. Too far if you want easy access to beach snd front - but we didn’t. The only downside is lack of bar but there’s loads nearby. Visitors must go to cafe below the hotel where the local Flamenco Chour practices. Cheap and hood food

We stayed for 3 weeks. The receptionists allways seemed like they didnt want any guests. Never smiling or being helpful. The cleaning staff were very friendly, and the rooms are very clean. The kitchen staff are very nice, and friendly. The food is good, but allways the same. This Hotel is the most noisy hotel we ever visited. Our room was in the top, so we could hear people slamming their doors, listening to music or talking extremely loud, several times each night. We never slept more than 2 hours in a row. The Hotel, as a building, is very clean, and well maintained.

Dieses Hotel ist ungewöhnlich schön, es unterscheidet sich vom Stil angenehm von den gewöhnlichen Hotelgebäuden. Ausblick beim Frühstück ist fantastisch und man bekommt die Eierspeisen beim Frühstück individuell zubereitet. Wenn man nicht sehr gut zu Fuß ist, sollte man unbedingt darauf hinweisen, da die beiden oberen Stockwerke nur über eine Treppe erreichbar waren. Dies war für uns aber kein Problem.

Had a 4 night stay at La Fonda, spent most of my time on the upper terrace relaxing on either a sunbed or chair. The terrace has been very nicely designed with lots of greenery and laid out allowing you to have privacy. Lovely views of the ocean. My room was very nice and comfortable with everything that I needed, particularly the tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice and the option of ordering eggs cooked to your choice. Only downside was that the hot offering wasn't as hot as I like it, that said their was a microwave available. Would I stay there again, absolutely
