Nice, clean, warm pool and warmer hot tub. What more can you ask for?

It was clean, staff was friendly and the pillows were real. However, the hot tub and the ice machine was broken.

We stay at this same hotel every year and have for the last 7 years. This time it wasn’t as good as it always had been. The pool area was closed do to mechanical failure, the upstairs ice machines were broken and my friend’s room had a tub that wouldn’t drain. The continental breakfast has always been good but this time the sausages were put out still frozen in the middle and most of the tables were dirty. On the positive, the rooms were spotless and comfortable as always.

At almost $250/night I would have expected much better. The front desk person was extremely rude to us on several occasions throughout our stay (reported to management). It was also not just me but others in our party. I would give them some leeway for a bad day except it continued the following day. This person very clearly does not like their job and doesn't belong in hospitality or customer service. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very good. The pool could have been cleaner - you could see dirt along the sides and looked like it had not been cleaned very recently. The jets weren't working on the spa for some reason - didn't ask the staff about that because I didn't want to deal with the rude desk agent. The rooms were pretty quiet. Overall I give them 2 stars out of 5 mostly because of the staff. At the price they were charging for this place the staff should have been bending over backward to take care of their guests, not arguing with them! Why is it so hard to find good customer service these days?

Overall clean and quiet. Pool area could be cleaner and the hot tub was very much out of service. We were given the wrong room at first, but the problem was corrected right away. Good service. Cleanliness is a 4/5. Best place to stay in the New London area.

Was disappointed the pool area wasn’t working, it’s understandable but my kids were looking forward to swimming and we didn’t get to do that for them.

Once again the pool was closed early and the hot tub did not work. We drive 5+ hours to stay at the hotel so we have the pool for our grandkids to enjoy. They look forward to "Nana and Papa" visits because of the hotel. I think we will start looking elsewhere.

Good breakfast, people very friendly very very helpful. Soundproof room. Very very clean, easy parking. The whole place smells good. We will be back here again sometime.

It’s so nice to find a place with a functional pool and hot tub. This place is great!

Spent the weekend in New London for a U12 softball tournament. The property needs some TLC; repairs and a good cleaning. The stairs to the second floor had a trail of crumbs on it. Our room had drywall seam peeling off the ceiling, 1/2 of the window covered with a white coating that obstructed the view, a screen that was torn, curtains that were ripped, a shower head in need of descaling, and some white substance smeared on the burgundy accent wall. The bed was springy. Our room was near the entrance and we constantly heard the TV and general activity/ talking. On the good, the linens & towels were nice. The pool area was a win for the kids. They offer a “free” breakfast which was meh with ample choices. I found the coffee to be weak and watery. Overall, the price point was a bit high for the accommodations. We were limited with options in the small city. I’d stay again out of necessity and ask for a room down the hall.

I ended up not even staying the night. There was a ton of dried sticky piss all over the bathroom floor in and around the toilet and I never used the toilet.

I loved the suite with a fireplace. It was huge. The room was very clean, the fireplace worked and there were two working TVs.

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff and very clean.

The breakfast was better than expected and always being refilled. Rooms were clean and smelled that way as well. Definitely recommend.

I stayed here for a night prior to the packers game with my girlfriend. I paid for the king suite with a jacuzzi. There was no issues with the staff overnight. I paid in the morning for a late checkout and a staff member entered the room while i was undressed. There was blood on the sheet and i was only offered a new sheet set. Also there was hair in the showe curtain. I disputed this witu the hotel staff and they asked i take it up with Expedia. Very upsetting.

Everything was good except we thought the bed was old and very springy.

We were visiting Waupaca and haven't found any good places to stay there. So we tried AmericInn in New London and it was great! The whirlpool tub and the fireplace were great! The sheets on the bed were exceptional-very comfortable! The 2-room suite was very helpful for my brother, who stayed with us on the pull-out bed in the living room. The breakfast that was included was quite nice! Overall a great place to stay! We will definitely be back on our next visit. Only other comments are: there were no cocktails available and the vending machines were quite expensive, but otherwise we had a great stay!

The bed was really FIRM - but everything else was FANTASTIC!!

Needs updating. Worn carpets and musty smell. Outdated bathroom fixtures, toilet was super low. At least the price was reasonable.

Everything was great, the room and building was everything that they showed online, the best part was the Jacuzzi tub in the room.

This is a nice hotel. The only thing I didn't like is the bed is a brick. Like sleeping on a cement slab. Otherwise the place is great. Very clean, nice friendly staff. Very quiet. I will stay here again.

Quiet...bed was hard

Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the pool area but we did get a room with a corner hot tub and loved that! The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast had a good variety of choices.

Smelled funny, the beds weren’t comfortable, the fridge door didn’t shut.

We had an issue with our room and our issue was settled quickly and easily by the front desk staff. The pool area was clean and the common areas were also. The breakfast was very good.

I initially booked a room for four nights. Later on I added a fifth night on the front end of the reservation. I checked in and the first night went fine. While I was out at my event. They entered my room and took all of my belongings and transferred them to another room. One item went missing. There was no need to transfer my belongings and enter my room in the middle of my reservation. They said it was Expedia's fault because the specific rooms they booked me in for the one night and the four nights they were different but they easily could have accommodated. Other than the room number, nothing changed. Unconscionable. On the plus side, the pool in hot tub we're working. Many hotels have not restarted their pools as a cost saving measure.

I would never stay here again ever! They charge my card three times I had to fight to get a refund! The beds are horrible, the pillows are horrible! The staff were very rude when I asked for a refund and fought with me that they did not owe me anything. When I finally convinced them, I had to make four phone calls to get it to happen

My whole entire family stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Gonna be honest spent way too much on the hotel room we had for this kind of treatment and the state of everything. The air conditioner didn’t work at all. The staff was terrible rude and had horrendous attitude towards everyone. The room was far from being worth the money I paid. The beds were terrible, lumpy, and old. Not to mention the hot-tub didn’t work and jets were broken. Now, I was willing to let it pass and not make a review because I rarely stay in this area. Until my mother’s card was getting blown up by charges stating that there were cigarettes in the room that my 80 year old grandparents with multiple health issues were staying in. They don’t smoke, that is not a costumer issue, that is a housekeeping issue. They were trying to pull hundreds of dollars from my mom’s card. While trying to discuss how impossible this would be the hotel staff hung up on her. So now I’m home from my trip, I check my own bank statements, and they charged our card too. I have young kids so we made quite a mess but we ALWAYS pick up after ourselves. I am a mother of three kids and they are all under 4, kids are messy, even if we’d ask to clean it hotel staff has maids to clean the rooms for that specific reason. Nothing was broken. We left our trash in one spot so it was easy access. We left the towels all in one area, there were crumbs on the floor and tiny fingerprints on the mirror. That was it. Don’t stay here.

We were there with a group of friends and from check in to check out the staff was friendly and accommodating. Gregory (front desk staff) went above and beyond for our group. He is an asset to their hotel staff. We had a great weekend there.

There were no surprises when it came to the building itself(no crazy hallways or intricate means to locate places like the vending machines, pool or breakfast area). Excellent service. The only thing I would say is that there wasn’t a driveway off the Main Street where the hotel is. You have to go a short distance to drive past a few other businesses before the hotel parking lot is apparent from the side and rear of the building. Otherwise no issues were had.

Nice hotel about 25 minutes from Waupaca. Clean and well cared for. Room was spotless. Beds were comfortable. Large indoor pool. Breakfast we decent....great coffee!

Clean, friendly, nice breakfast

The Americinn in New London WI was an excellent hotel. The rooms were great and the breakfast buffet was much better than any high end hotel. I will stay at this hotel again. Again thanks to the staff for assisting my family's stay.
