Rent stort rum och fick upp en.värmefläkt då det var några kalla dagar. Väldigt trevligt personal samt god mat i Restaurangen!

Fantastiskt fint hotell uppe i bergen. Vi tog ett rum med mountain view och trots att vi var där under regnperioden var utsikten underbar. Lång väg upp till rummet som låg högst upp i anläggningen och ingen hiss om man som jag har svårt att gå bör man boka ett annat rum. Hotellet ligger lite avskiljt längst ut på denna väg så man behöver bil om man ska ta sig runt, ingenting i närheten så man är hänvisad till restaurangen om man inte har bil och kan åka in till byn. Maten var god men inget speciellt.

06/2026: We were excited for our stay, but our experience was the worst of Costa Rica. On our first night, after a long day of travel, the toilet in Room 28 flooded after a single flush at 9:43 PM. No toilet paper had been used, so this was clearly not caused by misuse. We immediately attempted to contact the front desk, only to discover it had closed at 9:30 PM. Despite this being an emergency sanitation issue, no assistance was available. As a result, we spent the next 10 hours sleeping in a room with carpet soaked in toilet water. The odor was overwhelming, air circulation was poor, and the bathroom was completely unusable. The next morning, staff directed us to use the bathroom in another room, which we appreciated, but we had still paid for a room that could not be used as intended. The front desk employee informed us that we would receive a refund because the room was uninhabitable. We were also told that if we chose not to stay the second night, both nights would be refunded. Relying on that promise, we checked out and left. Management later denied the refund, arguing that because we briefly used the bathroom in the other room, we were not entitled to reimbursement for both nights. This makes little sense, as we only used that bathroom because our own room was unusable due to a maintenance failure beyond our control. Between the unsanitary conditions, lack of emergency support, and failure to honor the promise, this was one of the most frustrating hotel.

Good for staying and looking out the windows. Hotel wasn't bad, but no mini fridge in room. Walk for ice. Breakfast was OK, but few options. Close to the cloud forest, but we left early and left the area. Not for us, the town was a slow place to walk and window shop, we wanted adventure.
