Unbeatable location, just one block away from the main shopping pedestrian street of Vitosha boulevard. Rosslyn Thracia is a small hotel of about 60 rooms on 8 floors with 2 lifts, so it was quick to get in and out. We were on the 4th floor in room 408. The room was very well appointed and had all the mod-cons, including TV, ta and coffee making facilities, minibar, aircon. It suited 3 of us veey well. Beds were comfortable and there was a selection of pillows to choose from. Storage space was good and there were plenty of towels and bath robes provided. Room was clean and well0insulated from street noise even though we were facing the main Solunska street. My only remarks would be towards the bathroom, which was a bit dated and could do with a bit of a refurbishment - shower enclosure was leaking, shower head needed a bit of clean-up and descaling and there was a bit of mould on some of the seals. Also the pockets of one of the bath robes were torn off in several places. The hotel offers breakfast for EUR 10 per person. This is served in the lobby, which is quite small and there did not seem to be a lot of choice. There are a lot of options on Vitosha boulevard 2 to 5 minutes away, so we opted for these instead.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and both times were great. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious though it was in reception with limited seating. It is a great location to walk and explore the city. Many great restaurants close by.

In the heart of the city center. No need to use a car or other transportation. Underground parking very convenient but I would like it to be free for the guests. Some things could be in better shape like the bath tube that had something broken and when you shower water leaks on the floor. Also a smart tv would be convenient in the suite to watch from bed. Lastly, the breakfast is ok. The area is small and I guess nothing can be done about it but maybe some fried eggs or omelette is a good addition.

Spacious room with all necessary facilities like coffee machine, fridge etc. The hotel has just a “lobby corner” instead of a big lobby. Breakfast (which is good), is served there too. The downside is the cleanliness. There was mould on every corner in the shower (see photos). Also, a thick layer of dust was on the frames of the wooden doors.

Der Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war gut. Preis-Leistung war hervorragend - das Hotel ist erschwinglich und hat eine grandiose Lage direkt im Herzen der Innenstadt. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist keine 12 Euro wert, weshalb wir in Zukunft das Frühstück nicht buchen würden. Der Kellner beim Frühstücksempfang war toll und hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Ansonsten ist das Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen - leichte Schimmelspuren im Bad, Zimmer wird im Winter sehr heiß und lässt sich nicht richtig lüften, die Lage zur Straße hin hindert am Ausschlafen. Wir würden 4/5 Sternen geben - Alles in einem ein gutes Hotel im Herzen der Stadt.

The housekeeping was terreble... We stayed 4 nights. Cleaning of the room happened only the third day - following our complaints Moreover - we clearly complaint twice that the shampoo is empty, no toilet papers - the employee at the receotion prommised to take care... not happened again... a complete disapiontment From the positive - I would say that there is one amazing employee - Julian. Its a pitty that the rest of the team is not supportive at all and don't really care of the clients

So close to the pedestrian street Vitosha blvd. the hotel has been refurbished and the rooms are really nice and spacious, however, the bathroom was not as clean as I would have wanted. All in all the positives outweighed the negatives and if I were in Sofia again, I would book the same hotel

Absolutely fantastic! Stylish, sleek and yet welcoming. The staff were all kind and helpful. Despite the central location, it was quiet at night and we slept extremely well. Location is great, just off Vitosha Boulevard. Close to metro and walkable to everything from main sights to shops and restaurants. The room was huge, well appointed and comfortable. The WiFi was a bit slow at times but mobile reception is great. And the mini bar fridge has bright white lights and a glass door, so we had to unplug it. But otherwise basically faultless and highly recommended.

To be honoust the price/quality is not fully balanced. The cost for a superior room compared to other way more luxurious places. That being said, the beds are very comfortable and big. They are well equipped with a fridge, coffee and thee maker and the room is spacious and at the back of the hotel very quite. The hotel is situated only a few steps away from the main boulevard where you can get all you want, food, drinks, shopping ….

It is in the city centre which makes location of hotel really nice. There are several attractions at walking distance and shopping street is also near by. Room was spacious and very clean. Suitable for weekend stayover. The only thing i dislike about is communication from staff. I requested pre-checkin via chat, which was acknowledge by them and mentioned by them that it depends on availability. Upon reaching hotel at my desired time, manager told me that it will take atleast 2 more hours for rooms to be ready and due to which i left the hotel by taking some precious luggage (which i cannot drop at hotel) for city tour, the luggage was bit heavy and due to check-in denial, it has caused backpain to me and when i reached hotel after 2 hours, i discovered that one of my colleage who stayed back at hotel lobby, got checkin just withing 20-25 minutes after i left the hotel and the strange thing is, he did not even requested early check-in so this kind of miscommunication is really disappointing and not expected from such high quality hotel.

Great location, good price. However - thia hotel is not well maintained. We stayed in the suite with the balcony which was really specious with surrounded balcony which was nice. The room it self is not well maintained, out dated decor... The hotel staff werent that friendly and helpfull Overall- we got this room for a good price so... good value for money, although what wrote above.

Good location. But, sadly, most of the staff were pretty underwhelming. We were there for two x 2 night stays. But we didn't even know that the hotel served or included breakfast till the first morning of our second stay. And that was only after I asked about it!! That was why we bought breakfast outside during our first stay. And I still don't know if it should have been provided by the hotel!! Staff were also unhelpful about parking. It was, in fact, super easy to buy street parking tokens at a shop a few doors down the road. Staff didn't tell us about this. They claimed they didn't know how we could work street parking. I wonder if this was because they were encouraged to persuade guests to pay super pricey EURO charges to park at the hotel! Also - they really didn't want to help us find some clothes my husband left in a drawer after our first stay. They simply couldn't be bothered to help! I did find one of the reception people nice though.

Excellent service from entering the hotel, the staff and hotel are really good. We booked the hotel not knowing properly about what's in the area and i think it's a very good/great choice. The Metro is only ten minutes away and the main busy street is even shorter walk. Where you have a variety of food and shops to keep you entertained. The hotel is clean, and the facilities in the room are good. Would definitely recommend this hotel as all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a total of 7N in September before and after a tour. The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is easy walking distance to the main pedestrian boulevard (about 2 blocks) which is lined with shops and restaurants. At the other end of the hotel’s street, trams are available. Next to the hotel is a Bulgarian restaurant which is good and beautifully decorated inside. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. The room had a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Our only room concern was the air conditioning could’ve been cooler but we simply opened a window to cool the room more.

Hotel was good and clean room was also good and big. Hotel was Placed in a central position very close to Vitosha street. And also the receptionist Mr. Julian Stoyanov was very kind and helpfull. He just explained the touristic places to see like a guide. If i go to the Sofia again i would choose this hotel again.

Worst breakfast I have ever experienced in any hotel, nothing fresh, all straight out of supermarket packets and not much choice cramped inside their small reception area. Once I returned home, they ignored my request for a breakdown of costs,(Expedia asked me to provide this information to process a refund), so please don't insult them, they prefer customers to say everything is perfect even when it isn't, they are too insulted to take your feedback on board so they can learn from it.

Absolutely fantastic! Stylish, sleek and yet welcoming. The staff were all kind and helpful. Despite the central location, it was quiet at night and we slept extremely well. Location is great, just off Vitosha Boulevard. Close to metro and walkable to everything from main sights to shops and restaurants. The room was huge, well appointed and comfortable. The WiFi was a bit slow at times but mobile reception is great. And the mini bar fridge has bright white lights and a glass door, so we had to unplug it. But otherwise basically faultless and highly recommended.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but I rated it with four stars because the breakfast did not offer specific options for guests with lactose or gluten intolerance. As dietary restrictions are becoming increasingly common, it would be advisable to provide gluten-free bread and to indicate clearly the ingredients of other products. For example, noting whether cheese is made from goat’s milk or cow’s milk is important, as it makes a significant difference for people with lactose intolerance. Otherwise, everything was very good. My special compliments for maintaining a smoke-free environment throughout the hotel, which is not always the case in Bulgarian hotels.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and both times were great. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious though it was in reception with limited seating. It is a great location to walk and explore the city. Many great restaurants close by.

As an English guest , who always selects breakfast as the in house option, I was extremely disappointed to find that at breakfast the hot drink option was predominantly coffee ( which I don’t drink), fruit juice/ water and herbal style teas ( same in hotel room) but no English breakfast or Indian style teas. I wasn’t the only English guest who commented on this. Please get some English style tea:)
