Ramada by Wyndham South Waco

Rented a 2 room unit. One of the AC units in a room shook so violently we couldn’t run it. Carpets were very dirty. Bathroom was clean as were the linens. Pool was also closed..

The beds were the best. Very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Nothing in the exercise room worked and no towels were in the pool area.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly but if you are looking for a hotel with a functioning gym, this is not the place.

Hotel was in a convenient location. Right off the highway. Check in was easy. The rooms were comfy and the hot tub was amazing. The pool was freezing so I’ll assume it wasn’t a heated pool. It was indoors tho. The gym was nice as well. Will definitely book again.

I wish the pool was up and going or gotten an email because that was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel but it was still very nice!!

Nice hotel but I reserved a room for me and my daughter because they had a pool and spa only to find out for no apparent reason the pool is closed. Probably should have said something when checking and I would have went elsewhere since that was the main reason for stay. Checked area and water was in pools and keys were running but lights off and a sign that says closed and that is it.

We booked this hotel for the indoor pool specifically, and I even called ahead to check on the pool. Was assured by on-site staff it was ready for use. We arrived 10/9/25 @ 1620, asked again at the front desk, assured pool was available. Three hours later, returned to desk, was given pool towels, we were IN SWIMWEAR, walking to pool, and the hotel clerk stops us at the pool entrance. "The pool is down for maintenance, sorry" And walks away, no eye contact, no respect. I followed him to the front desk and asked when it would be available...he assured me it would be available the next morning as scheduled they just needed to treat it. Fast forward to Friday morning 10/10/25...after breakfast, we again checked the pool status...only then were we informed that the pool was undergoing extensive maintenance, would be drained and unavailable for the next several days. At this point I ask the desk personnel if this was routine maintenance that had been scheduled or an unscheduled repair due to necessity... I was informed they had been planning on doing this for quite a while and knew the pool would be down for several days when it was taken out of service the day before. Lying to your customers shows some of the poorest customer service there is and there's no excuse for it when hotels are very competitive on a major interstate such as Waco and I-35.

It was just ok. Clearly not the newest property but it was clean. Shower in the room was nice with good pressure. The pool was closed for some kind of repair. The included breakfast didn’t have many options and none of them looked very appetizing. The coffee was room temperature. If you’re just looking for a cheap place to stay a couple of nights this is better than like a Motel 6 situation.

Staff was friendly, check in was easy. The room was nice. It had everything u needed. The only problem I had was the hot tub still wasn’t working. It was not working the last time I stayed either. Oh and the lock for the pool door wasn’t working so we were locked in and had to send someone around the building to let us out. The breakfast was just ok. They stop refilling early so u gotta make it down there early.

The place was dirty. Carpet in rooms disgusting. When checking in we asked hours of pool, the hot tub was ice cold, they never mentioned that to us. The pool was ice cold. Advertisement said hot tub and sauna. Neither one of those things were offered.

This was a great place to stay— very comfortable, clean and felt safe. They even had a nice breakfast.

Woke up w several roaches and other bugs on the floor. Front desk told me because my room was at the end of the hall. I didn’t choose the room. I ck’d out early and didn’t get any credit for remaining days. Had to stay at another property for the remainder of my holiday.

Found Cucarachas In The Bathroom

Arrived with spouse & my two young children for check-in around 9:30 pm. No one at desk, no bell or anything. After 10 min. called the hotel, heard the phone ring until it stopped, then about 5 min later staff came to help. They were nice. Our room's air felt humid & stank; carpet was stained, & walls were scuffed & had painted over scuffs. After getting settled, checked the AC, & it was filled with mold. Clerk gave us a new room that didn't smell as bad, but the AC still had a little mold. It was about 10:30, decided to settle in. Around 11:00, stepped in wet carpet- the AC was leaking. At this point we just wanted to sleep, so I put a cup under the leak. Couldn't sleep well, & after 3 hrs, the cup was overflowing. Next morning requested a new room, the room also reeked of mold. Each room was on the same floor. Instead of trying to change rooms we checked out (I'm not too fussed over shabbiness, but mold is a health issue for us). Staff was very courteous & apologetic, didn't offer a refund, but they didn't hesitate when I asked for a partial refund. They were very helpful & understanding. It was a relief to directly book a room somewhere else.

There was dead bugs in the bathroom.

We had to change rooms because the first room smelled terrible. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t much better and there were also lots of bugs both dead and alive.The hotel is very worn down in every aspect. If it hadn’t been Baylor’s homecoming weekend with all the hotels fully booked, we would have changed hotels in a nanosecond. It’s the last time we’ll stay at a Ramada Inn.

Everything was amazing with exception of the WiFi in the bedroom. It was about half-speed of the WiFi in the main room. I wish I had brought my ethernet cable. That being said, the bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels I have stayed in while traveling. And the food was excellent, too. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Needs new flooring in rooms. And update some of the furniture.

Very comfortable beds and the black out curtains are amazing. The rooms seemed clean and there is also a decent complimentary breakfast.

Clean, spacious room. Dislikes TV volume was too low and channel selection was not good. Staff didn’t enforce no smoking posted on sitting area outside the front door.

The room was great. The second one anyway. First one the tv was giving issues. We also waited 3 hours for an employee to show up and cjeck us in. The hotel was empty! We got there at 5 finally in a room for the night about 11pm. Kinda disappointed this time. The employee that did arrive was amazing and made it all better but still. It was Christmas eve.

Nice black out curtains and comfy mattress.

The bed was very comfortable. We had a handicap room, so it had no carpet. We heard a lot of noise. Kept the fan on and that helped.

Breakfast was simple and delicious. I have to brag in the staff for being so helpful when we forgot AirPods in the room. We were able to call and have someone pick them up with no issues. Thank so much for being helpful and honest. It’s truely appreciated!

I paid for my rooms ahead of time, and when I arrived, they had no rooms available and no solution for me. The only thing the could offer me was to put 4 people in a king size bed. While I was arguing to at least get my money back (which they said they couldn’t do) a lady came up to the desk complaining that her room smelled like cat urine. Luckily, I was able to call Expedia and get my money back, but as far as the hotel, I would give it zero stars if I could.

The property was located with 10 minutes of everywhere we want to go. Very easy to get in and out of. Everyone was very pleasurable and helpful. I was locked out our room last and the lady who was managing the front desk noticed on the cameras that we we’re having an issue, so I took the elevator door stairs and she met me at the elevator with a new key. I was very impressed at her attention to detail. We loved visiting Waco. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff is all super friendly and go above and beyond! Nice rooms with really comfortable beds!

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Check in and getting dressed in our room and the door pops open and another family walks in. They were assigned the same room. Shower did not work.

Paid for rooms ahead of time and when I arrived they had no rooms. Guy at desk wasn’t sure he could refund my money - thankfully I called Expedia and they were able to refund me. TERRIBLE customer service!

Watched two men get arrested...also, saw a car with a bashed in windshield. Alot undesirable characters hanging around in the parking lot at night.

Only one ice machine for the whole motel and it was broken. WiFi was basically nonexistent, Don’t try to work from this motel. Floors in room were filthy, made my feet dirty walking on them. 3-4 people (same group) always smoking right by the entry door every time I went in/out. May have been employees. Vagrants wandering around parking lot at any given time. 8-10 cops in parking lot arresting people and blocking traffic in/out of the parking lot one morning

The hotel was convenient to the interstate and to restaurants, shopping, and fun activities.

Basic hotel with clean, large room & clean large bathroom. Close to where we needs to be. Simple breakfast.

Great room clean didn’t have any issues. Breakfast the next morning was eggs and sausage so pretty good.

Free breakfast wasn’t so great! No bagels, no waffle iron, sausages were pale,Etc. Toilet paper dispenser is confusing! We ended up putting toilet paper on the back of the commode. The room we had was wonderful. Large and open!

The images online show a well appointed "mart" however the shelving and stock looks very unprofessional. Breakfast was a disappointment not even a hard boiled egg, mini bagles, and pancake machin didn't work.
