Excellent staff--friendly and helpful. The gym is small but more than adequate and was open 24 hours. The rooms were spacious and had a nice kitchenette--very convenient.

Quiet, just off the main drag, large parking lot, lovely friendly lobby. Coffee in the lobby for breakfast, Denny’s Restaurant right beside the hotel. In the heart of downtown Abbotsford, lots of restaurants nearby. Kitchen units fully equipped for simple cooking.

Room was dirty, mold on balcony, onion skins in the bedside table drawer, no housekeeping, had to go downstairs multiple times for towels and bedding. Was asked to carry down my dirty laundry for them. Booking said onsite breakfast available from 07:00-01:00. No onsite breakfast other than at restaurants. No dishwasher pods for dishwasher.

Believe housekeeping did their best but the room itself was very run down, carpet stained and frayed and dirty that no vacuuming could clean. Bathroom tiles with black mold and needing replacement. Floor tile broken. The actual worst was stained dirty chairs and sofa. The room should not be rented out. Did consider taking photos but will not stay there again

Clean room except for the clogged tub. We were only there for two days so didn’t mention anything to staff except upon checking out. The area is very convenient for shopping and restaurants. Beds were a little uncomfortable and so were the pillows but overall it’s exactly what you’d expect. A 3 star hotel at a decent price

This hotel and room exceeding expectations in a big way! The staff were lovely, check in was easy, and the room was huge! Not only was there a large suite waiting for me with a super comfy king sized bed, but it was spotless! What a delightful experience!! Completely worth the stay and while it was just lil ol’ me in the room, it would have been perfect for a family!! Highly recommend.

Our room was clean and well appointed. However, the carpeting had several large areas where it was dark and sticky. The bath towels were small, more like large hand towels. The bed seemed unusually small. My feet actually hung off the end of king-sized bed. We've stayed at other Sandman hotels and this one pales in comparison. If this was our first Sandman experience, I doubt we'd give this chain continued patronage. Very disappointing.

This was not one of my best stays. I was out for business and was staying at the hotel for 6 days and requested that my room get full fresh up and cleaning everyday. This was not Performed 1 day. The hotel did try to make good with voucher to Denny’s but after a long work day out my clean room with fresh towels and fresh bed is all I wanted.

Booked a king suite and they moved me to a queen bed suite and couldn’t switch me back. Room was in rough shape. Bathroom was not clean (had a used bar of soap in the shower). The toilet was broken and would not flush. They sent someone to fix it, but it broke again afterwards. Hallways smelled as well.

The hotel and staff were very nice. The hotel was clean safe and convenient. The price was ok for summer. The air conditioning didn’t work properly in our suite. We asked for a fan as it was hot and no one responded. The air conditioning would come on and off for no reason and none of the buttons worked .

Rooms were great we had 3. Haylie called us before we left home as a courtesy and made sure our rooms were together as one was booked under another name, so great thank you. Venus was great and very helpful. Would absolutely stay there again

They did not give me what I paid for. The room door key did not work Instead of the two beds I purchased I got one bed and a couch. They gave me a mother room with a bed and a pull out couch. That would be ok but the couch wreaked my back.. They said someone would call me the next day and no one did What a terrible stay for the most expensive stay that I booked. I will never go to this chain again.

My husband and I visited Abbotsford for the first time on Thanksgiving Day and decided to stay the night at the Sandman Hotel based on recommendations we saw online. The hotel was nice and the person working at the front desk that evening (I believe her name was Hailey) was extremely sweet and definitely went above and beyond. She took time to share her favorite places when we asked for recommendations of where to eat good Chinese Food, breweries, farms, and the best pastries to try. She even wrote them down for us so we wouldn't forget. In addition, she gave us pamphlets with more info on sightseeing. Hailey is one of the kindest people I've met in hospitality. Our room was also upgraded and it was clean, comfy, spacious, and had a balcony to look out from. Her excellent customer service made our stay in Abbotsford even more memorable. Thank you, Hailey, for the best service ever.

From the moment I walked in the front doors I felt very warm and cozy. The front desk person was extremely helpful and even offered me a bottle of water. She could tell it was quite tired and thirsty. The nice surprise was when I walked in my room and it was temperature correct and a bigger room that I had anticipated for this trip. Very quiet all through the night I did not hear a sound from other customers or other noises. I slept like a rock. I would definitely be staying here on my next trip up to Abbotsford.

Love the rooms but the homeless people living in the park right outside my room was definitely not desirable. Also not having a public washroom in the lobby is ridiculous.

It was located continently close to the ice rink, had a kitchen, washer and dryer. However, the property is extremely dirty. Greasy handprints on walls, dirty floors, elevator, mirrors. Had junkies consuming drugs in the back parking lot. Would never go there again.

Very central to everything we wanted to do & everyone we wanted to see. Huge hotel! Denny’s room service & a brand new restaurant in the parking lot. We did a pickup order & the food was hot & delicious. We travelled with our toddler & baby. The room we stayed in had a separate bedroom which was fantastic for bedtime. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The area close to the property had camps with people, sleeping, in tents , not their fault but an unfortunate situation these days. The location is very central and I always found a good parking spot.

Great place. Loved the staff. Loved the room. The hotel is in the middle of a shopping area, which is convenient, but it’s tough for walking a dog. There are a lot of unhoused people in the park behind the hotel. Mostly harmless, but feels unsafe at 5 am or 9 pm. I witnessed many drug deals. Just saying. If you don’t have to walk a dog, you probably won’t even notice. Abbotsford is a beautiful city and we’ll definitely stay here if we visit again.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, easy parking, and the genuinely friendly staff during my stay. The breakfast voucher for Denny’s was a great bonus and made mornings easy. Room was dirty, mold on balcony, onion skins in the bedside table drawer, no housekeeping, had to go downstairs multiple times for towels and bedding. Was asked to carry down my dirty laundry for them. Booking said onsite breakfast available from 07:00-01:00. No onsite breakfast other than at restaurants. No dishwasher pods for dishwasher.

This was almost a 5 star hotel stay. The property is large, newly renovated and the rooms are beautiful. We felt more like we were staying in an upper class condo than a hotel and the price was amazing. There's plenty of parking, the mall is steps away and there are plenty of dining and grocery options nearby. However... the Aroma Bistro, which shares a parking lot with the hotel, offers guests discounts and is recommended by hotel staff... gave my husband severe food poisoning. Fortunately this happened on our last night, so didn't ruin our trip. But he became so ill, he actually ended up in the hospital as a result. This is not the hotel's fault, of course, but since the restaurant shares the property, I thought it worth mentioning. If not for that, it would have been an absolutely perfect stay.

The restaurant on-site would not do room service even though it was clearly before 9 pm on a Friday night. We had to go down to the restaurant to order. They said they couldn’t charge to our room. Upon delivery. It was weird….Rooms could have been cleaner, dusty and lights were burnt out. Had a musty smell in the room.

Quiet, just off the main drag, large parking lot, lovely friendly lobby. Coffee in the lobby for breakfast, Denny’s Restaurant right beside the hotel. In the heart of downtown Abbotsford, lots of restaurants nearby. Kitchen units fully equipped for simple cooking.

The staff was great, the room and size were very nice for the price. We had a one bedroom kitchenette, pet friendly. The room did smell like someone smoked there before, but was cleaned after. We had an event the next day, is why we stayed there. We walked to mill lake, had a nice walk, but the area is on the verge of being sketchy. Lots of trash on the streets and some strange people. At Mill lake park, homeless people live there. The hotel and parking lot felt safe, with a classy lobby. Denny’s open 24hrs - great food! We would stay there again. I probably wouldn’t walk at night without my husband or big dog.

Notre séjour a mal commencé. La jeune réceptionniste peu souriante et un peu imbue d’elle même ne nous a pas remis le bon contractuel de 20$ à utiliser dans l’hôtel. Elle nous a dit qu’il n’y avait rien de prévu pour les petits déjeuners, à part une machine à café et ne nous a pas dit qu’il existait à une extrémité de l’hôtel une cafétéria Denny’s qui a de longs horaires d’ouverture. Étant membres platiniums d’Hotels. Com expedía, il nous a été présenté le surclassement contractuel comme une fleur de l’établissement qui était complet ( notre réservation était faite depuis 5 mois). Nous avons eu une suite plus grande.Heureusement, le lit était très confortable, car la suite était vieillotte, le miroir de la salle de bain avec de grandes traces marron, le lave vaisselle avait son joint d’étanchéité qui était endommagé par un tiroir à couverts inadapté. Le technicien de l’hôtel qui était très aimable à vu le problème et nous avons laissé notre vaisselle sale dans l’évier, en accord avec la réception.. ( photos jointes de notre suite avec cuisine au 4 eme étage.) un lampadaire ne fonctionnait pas. Le lendemain matin, nous avons détaillé nos griefs à la chef de réception. Elle nous a offert 40$ de bons pour la cafétéria. Aimable de sa part, mais nous avions déjà déjeuné et nous avons pris quelque chose à emporter. Nous avons annulé la réservation que nous avions pour le 9 octobre à notre retour vers Vancouver.
