This isn't an all inc that I have ever experienced before! So we stayed here for 4 nights and were in the bungalows, the rooms were spacious and clean, although the bathroom could do with some updating. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but there was a fridge. There are 3 pools, so they never felt crowded, the beach is a few minutes walk through reception. They had morning yoga and aqua aerobics in the pool next to the beach, you just need to find out the times. Only local brand drinks are included, any branded alcohol and soft drinks are at a charge. Meals times are limited, so not available all day. Limited veggie and vegan options, enough to have a good meal, but the food gets repetitive, if you eat meat, its not a problem. Again the 'snacks' available at the bars aren't useful for veggies/vegans. There are long periods between availability of meals. The only entertainment is geared towards the french, so nothing for other languages. You can't get bottled water, unless you buy it at the onsite shop, they do have water fountains at each bar, so can fill up a bottle of your own, or get a glass from the bar. The beach/pool towels are only available near the beach bar and you have to pay a €10 deposit for each one which is fully refundable. Ice cream is available during meals times, which you just scoop yourselves, however if you want one between meals, they are available at the bars but you have to pay for them.

Really nice all inclusive hotel right on the beach. We got an uber to the hotel from thr airport, cost around €40 but was worth it. The hotel itself is around 25km outside Athens in a quiet area. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and spoke english. They will help you to your room should you need it. The room was nice, the beds are a bit hard but you canr please everyone in this regard. The room was cleaned every day. You are given towels in the room to use at the pools or beach. There are 3 pools all with lifeguards, which open at 10am and there is no reserving longers they will move your stuff, which is great. The food was very good, plenty of variety. The staff were all lovely and polite. The entertainment is focused on the french guests which is fine, everyone can take part they just speak mainly in French. This isnt something i partake in anyway so it didnt bother me. The hotel is right on the beech which is lovely. And there are lovely walks along the beach to either side of the hotel, with restaurants on both walks. Lidl is about 1.5km away should you need anything. The grounds of the hotel are nice and well maintained. Check out was simple, just throw cards in a box. There is a storage room for bags and showers in the main pool bathroom. There is a shop in the hotel. The local bus goes into Athens each day if you fancy it. There are watersports at the hotel. No complaints here. Would recommend the hotel.

Like a lot of other people mentioned, the staff/activities were primarily French, but I never had any issues with communication. Everyone spoke English well enough to help with whatever I needed, and were all too happy to do whatever they could.

Hotel is fantastic for kids, feels so safe. Great pools, not too good that people reserve sunbeds for hours before using them. Food fantastic for a buffet. Drinks ok, strong. Worst part is rooms are basic with no kettle. Unfortunately our rooms shower was broken and barely stayed on the wall and window wouldn’t close. Free beach sunbeds and plentiful. Not a lot to do in the evening and entertainment French dominated. All in all, excellent value for money

Das Essen war super und die Nähe zum Strand ebenfalls. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist außerdem hilfsbereit und reagiert schnell bei Anfragen. Man sollte wissen, dass das Programm dort (Animation) fast nur auf französischsprachige Gäste ausgelegt ist. Die Zimmer sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen (Einrichtung) und leider war der Balkon sehr dreckig (Taubenkacke), wurde auch während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Das war bei beiden Zimmern der Fall. Das zweite Bett war sehr klapprig, Gottseidank musste nur das Baby drauf schlafen aber ansonsten konnte man nur sehr vorsichtig drauf sitzen, da ansonsten die Lattenroste rausgefallen sind. Das Essen ist fantastisch, daher nochmal erwähnenswert, denn die Auswahl beim Buffet ist sehr groß und das Essen frisch und heiß (ist bei Buffet nicht immer selbstverständlich). Die Anlage ist insgesamt schön angelegt und die Leute verteilen sich gut bei mehreren Pools, das ist ganz angenehm.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It isn't a fancy resort but it gives you everything for a relaxing time by the seaside. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The food is very good and there is a variety, even so for my picky American husband. There are many drink options for the all inclusive price, including beer, wines, and well spirits. If you want a fancy or named brand drink, however, you will pay for those and it is an average price. But for the price point, it is well worth it. There are 2 pools and 2 poolsode bars. There is access to the beach area and there are also a few closeby restaurants in walking distance as well. It was definitely a nice slow paced change after several days in Athens. You can also rent bikes to take a leisurely ride along the sea. We would love to come back. The resort and the rooms were also very clean. The staff is always helpful and most speak English. We would love to come back!!!

The resort is very nice with plenty of places for people to sit and relax or play games. The two restaurants cater for breakfast (Olympia) and lunch and dinner and the bar has snacks and drinks. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter auf sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es stehen auch überall Behälter für Müll zur Verfügung. Wie schon andere geschrieben gaben, findet die Animation fast ausschließlich auf französisch statt. Die Essensauswahl ist sehr gut uns schmeckt super lecker. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Leider ist dad Hotel etwas abseits vom Geschehen, falls es das in Nea Makri überhaupt gibt. Der Strand ist sauber nur direkt am Hotel sehr schmal. Aber sauber und es sind viele Liegen vorhanden. Im allgemeinen ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Customer service: poor We did not feel welcomed at the resort with the exception of a few dining staff -Anastasia,Helen and one other (blonde short hair). It seems the staff were not welcoming of ethnically diverse Americans . The Olympia dining Lead staff/ supervisor was outright rude to my husband on one occasion . He also never greeted us with a smile as he did with other guests. We saw him daily for meals and this is the face I'll remember of my unpleasant Greek experience. We encountered two very unpleasant experiences where we were treated with disrespect and condescension while at the resort and from there we were met with daily unpleasant racially based encounters while exploring nearby businesses. We found it very difficult to enjoy this vacation. Quality of Food:fair Room comfort: poor/ loud noises, lots of insects in room stains on sheets and mattress no mattress cover or fitted sheets (housekeeping friendly) Activities: limited and not as advertised in all inclusive rate, staff led activities are all facilitated in French only and unable to participate due to language differences. Definitely not worth a $4000 Vacation but so glad we did not book an extended stay as originally planned . We will not likely return to Greece and if ever we will choose to visit Greece in the future we will definitely research which city is most welcoming of brown biracial individuals and interracial couples.

We had an absolute great time. I don’t even know where to begin… We came here with a wide open mind, 2 women who don’t speak anything other than English, and we had absolutely no issues. All staff are welcoming, kind, very helpful, and do their most to make you feel at home. We went to a few entertainment nights, some of the events are put on by the French club, those were in French. Other events organized were in French, Greek, or English. Everything was fun and inclusive to all guests. We had no idea what to expect for our room, but we were happily surprised at how clean and tidy it was. Staff were by daily for cleaning, we always arrived back at our room to a clean and tidy space. We had an air conditioning unit that took some figuring out, but we managed just fine and slept well without overheating. The bathroom was spacious and we had no issues what so ever. The food was great. Once we got used to Greek meal times (Canadians eat early I guess!), we were ready to enjoy our day and saunter to meals and enjoy our time. We never felt rushed and we always left feeling satisfied and well fed. Everything was tasty and there was plenty of variety, even some themed nights! We were unsure if an all inclusive resort was the way to go about Greece, but we found we had the perfect way to split up our itinerary. We had travel days: flew to Mykonos, taxi’d to Athens, ferried over to Andros, and we enjoyed pool/beach days in between! I really can’t say enough good things! Thank you!

We had travel days: flew to Mykonos, taxi’d to Athens, ferried over to Andros, and we enjoyed pool/beach days in between! I really can’t say enough good things! Thank you!

The hotel has a very nice beach with lounge chairs and parasols, it's very clean mostly sandy and the landscape is nice. There are no showers directly on the beach though. There are several swimming pools and a mini golf. One should bring cash because there is no ATM in the resort and a guarantee deposit is necessary to borrow equipment. The rooms are clean and comfortable but you can hear everything happening in the corridors. The bathroom is very unpractical but it mostly works. The food included is quite ok and there is some variety. The soft drinks included, on the other hand, are not great: they all come from the same brand so you don't have coca cola but a similar drink from that brand, and unfortunately the juices taste like medecine. At breakfast you can have an actual orange juice but you need to pay 2€ for a glass. The staff is very accommodating and polite.

Das Essen war super und die Nähe zum Strand ebenfalls. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist außerdem hilfsbereit und reagiert schnell bei Anfragen. Man sollte wissen, dass das Programm dort (Animation) fast nur auf französischsprachige Gäste ausgelegt ist. Die Zimmer sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen (Einrichtung) und leider war der Balkon sehr dreckig (Taubenkacke), wurde auch während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Das war bei beiden Zimmern der Fall. Das zweite Bett war sehr klapprig, Gottseidank musste nur das Baby drauf schlafen aber ansonsten konnte man nur sehr vorsichtig drauf sitzen, da ansonsten die Lattenroste rausgefallen sind. Das Essen ist fantastisch, daher nochmal erwähnenswert, denn die Auswahl beim Buffet ist sehr groß und das Essen frisch und heiß (ist bei Buffet nicht immer selbstverständlich). Die Anlage ist insgesamt schön angelegt und die Leute verteilen sich gut bei mehreren Pools, das ist ganz angenehm.

Great location by the beach. Good food but bacon was missing for breakfast sometimes. Clean and renovated rooms (308), lobby and restaurant. Friendly staff but some speak very poor English (not front desk). I was very annoyed with house keeping. EVERY morning at 08:50, the lady knocked on our door and then immediately entered our room. We were still sleeping at that time so this is how we woke up; with a stranger suddently entering our room and scaring us. This happend all 3 mornings! Also, they change ALL towels in the rooms everyday. Why? So unnecessary and bad for environment. We could have kept them longer without problem.

We were very impressed with this resort, it was clean, very well run, and staff were helpful. Things like the air con was not freezing, very comfortable, where there was music around the pool, it was a perfect volume (not too loud) and very good easy listening. We were very impressed with the size of the family room, which actually had a separate room for the children. We liked the variety of food during our 5 night stay.

Das Zimmer war gut und die Möbel waren im guten Zustand.Das Bad WC war auch im guten Zustand,schöne Bodendusche mit funktionierenden Abfluss und der Duschkopf war auch einwandfrei.Schöner großer Balkon zur Meeresseite. Das Essen war sehr gut!!! Kommen wir jetzt leider zu den negativen Dingen. Das Zimmer ging zu einer Anlage raus die Veranstaltungen wie Hochzeiten etc. macht. Das bedeutet viel Musik und Lärm bis tief in die Nacht,an Schlaf und Erholung ist wenig zu denken,es kamen bis zu 3 Hochzeiten in unserer Urlaubszeit dort vor,das geht dort wie am Fließband,also oft keine Ruhe zur Meeresseite hin. Es gibt keine Gläser auf dem Zimmer,man kann nur aus der Flasche trinken... Gläser bekommt man nur im Restaurant also zum Frühstück Mittagessen und Abendessen. Sonst trinkt man den ganzen Tag nur aus Pappbechern,da schmeckt doch das Bier,der Wein und andere Sachen wenn man das aus einen Pappbecher trinkt.Auch gibt es keine Hotelbar im Hotel sondern nur eine einzige Baechbar für das ganze Hotel,die Pappbecher lassen also wieder Grüßen. Cola Fanta und Sprite schmecken grauenhaft haben wenig mit diesen Getränken zu tun. Kaffee grauenhaft den Cappuccino kann man als Ersatz trinken.Bier und Wein schmecken allerdings gut. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans l'hôtel Golden Coast. La chambre était un peu vieillote dans le bungalow dans lequel nous avons séjourné et nécessiterait un rafraichissement et un relooking pour changer les meubles assez vétustes et remplacer la baignoire par une douche dans la salle de bains. Sinon, la chambre était propre et bien entretenue. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique, réactif et dynamique que ce soit dans les restaurants, à la réception ou l'équipe d'animation. L'hôtel est bien situé directement au bord de la plage et très calme. Les transats sont en nombre suffisant aussi bien sur la plage qu'au bord des piscines. Les repas sont variés et de très bonne qualité dans les différents restaurants. Nous recommandons cet hôtel qui après un rafraîchissement des chambres vaudrait 5 étoiles.

Hotel is fantastic for kids, feels so safe. Great pools, not too good that people reserve sunbeds for hours before using them. Food fantastic for a buffet. Drinks ok, strong. Worst part is rooms are basic with no kettle. Unfortunately our rooms shower was broken and barely stayed on the wall and window wouldn’t close. Free beach sunbeds and plentiful. Not a lot to do in the evening and entertainment French dominated. All in all, excellent value for money

Décevant. On nous a attribué la pire chambre de l’établissement, tres bruyante, à coté de la reception, ce qui est une honte compte tenu du prix payé. Vue sur un mur, chambre très sombre, aucune fenêtre dans la deuxième pièce, matelas mou, chasse d’eau défaillante, et pour couronner le tout, une ampoule ne fonctionnait pas dans la salle de bain. Après plusieurs plaintes, une autre chambre nous a finalement été attribuée, tres correcte… mais seulement à la 4ᵉ nuit. Une véritable arnaque.

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig, besonders die Bungalows sind vorzuziehen. Die Ausstattung ist funktional und in Ordnung. leider gibt es kein Wasserkocher auf den Zimmern, um sich einen Kaffee zu kochen. Zum entspannen empfiehlt sich der kleinere Pool zwischen den Bungalows.

Das Zimmer war sehr abgewohnt. Parkplätze waren reichlich vorhanden. Zum essen musste man paar schritte gehen, dann war reichlich essen vorhanden aber leider nichts wirklich griechisches. Dafür fast immer das gleiche und nur mäßig warm. Die Getränke sind so gut wie alle aus Sirup mit Wasser gemischt. Der Wein ist mit Wasser gemischt, das Bier ist dafür ganz Okay. Für ein paar Tage gehts, wer länger bleibt sollte auch mal wo anders essen.

Overall a pleasant stay. Tooms in good consition but not recently refurbished as the pictures that they advertise online. Great all inclusive food offer. 2 negatives during our stay, one was the rude staff member that was potentially a supervisor on the lunch restaurant that was giving take away food to everyone but refused to give for our 2 year old that was sleeping at lunch. Eventually provided the take away box but with an attitude that was like they were doing us a favour. The second negative the cleaner of the rooms that requested to be tipped so that we would get our room cleaned and because we didn’t we ended up not having the room cleaned for 2 days were we had to go at the reception and request it to be cleaned.

We had a wonderful stay at Golden Coast Hotel & Bungalows! The entire experience exceeded our expectations — the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the food was delicious and varied, and the hotel grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. It’s a perfect place for families, with everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The only suggestion we’d like to make is regarding the animation. All activities and entertainment were conducted only in French, which made it difficult for non-French-speaking guests to participate. Adding English-language options would make the experience more inclusive and enjoyable for all visitors. Thank you for a lovely vacation — we would definitely return!

The staff was helpful and courteous. Sometimes a language barrier but worked through it. Family room was perfect for 4 and beds were comfortable. Drinks, food, weather were excellent! It was more crowded on the Holiday weekend but cleared out again. The beach was fun and filled up quickly. Nice walking path that is paved. Taxis were easy to access and drivers were friendly and accommodating. Did I say the food was excellent!! Definitely sharing this location and reasonable price with friends and family. Can’t wait to visit again.

Customer service: poor We did not feel welcomed at the resort with the exception of a few dining staff -Anastasia,Helen and one other (blonde short hair). It seems the staff were not welcoming of ethnically diverse Americans . The Olympia dining Lead staff/ supervisor was outright rude to my husband on one occasion . He also never greeted us with a smile as he did with other guests. We saw him daily for meals and this is the face I'll remember of my unpleasant Greek experience. We encountered two very unpleasant experiences where we were treated with disrespect and condescension while at the resort and from there we were met with daily unpleasant racially based encounters while exploring nearby businesses. We found it very difficult to enjoy this vacation. Quality of Food:fair Room comfort: poor/ loud noises, lots of insects in room stains on sheets and mattress no mattress cover or fitted sheets (housekeeping friendly) Activities: limited and not as advertised in all inclusive rate, staff led activities are all facilitated in French only and unable to participate due to language differences. Definitely not worth a $4000 Vacation but so glad we did not book an extended stay as originally planned . We will not likely return to Greece and if ever we will choose to visit Greece in the future we will definitely research which city is most welcoming of brown biracial individuals and interracial couples.

We had an absolute great time. I don’t even know where to begin… We came here with a wide open mind, 2 women who don’t speak anything other than English, and we had absolutely no issues. All staff are welcoming, kind, very helpful, and do their most to make you feel at home. We went to a few entertainment nights, some of the events are put on by the French club, those were in French. Other events organized were in French, Greek, or English. Everything was fun and inclusive to all guests. We had no idea what to expect for our room, but we were happily surprised at how clean and tidy it was. Staff were by daily for cleaning, we always arrived back at our room to a clean and tidy space. We had an air conditioning unit that took some figuring out, but we managed just fine and slept well without overheating. The bathroom was spacious and we had no issues what so ever. The food was great. Once we got used to Greek meal times (Canadians eat early I guess!), we were ready to enjoy our day and saunter to meals and enjoy our time. We never felt rushed and we always left feeling satisfied and well fed. Everything was tasty and there was plenty of variety, even some themed nights! We were unsure if an all inclusive resort was the way to go about Greece, but we found we had the perfect way to split up our itinerary. We had travel days: flew to Mykonos, taxi’d to Athens, ferried over to Andros, and we enjoyed pool/beach days in between! I really can’t say enough good things! Thank you!

Really nice all inclusive hotel right on the beach. We got an uber to the hotel from thr airport, cost around €40 but was worth it. The hotel itself is around 25km outside Athens in a quiet area. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and spoke english. They will help you to your room should you need it. The room was nice, the beds are a bit hard but you canr please everyone in this regard. The room was cleaned every day. You are given towels in the room to use at the pools or beach. There are 3 pools all with lifeguards, which open at 10am and there is no reserving longers they will move your stuff, which is great. The food was very good, plenty of variety. The staff were all lovely and polite. The entertainment is focused on the french guests which is fine, everyone can take part they just speak mainly in French. This isnt something i partake in anyway so it didnt bother me. The hotel is right on the beech which is lovely. And there are lovely walks along the beach to either side of the hotel, with restaurants on both walks. Lidl is about 1.5km away should you need anything. The grounds of the hotel are nice and well maintained. Check out was simple, just throw cards in a box. There is a storage room for bags and showers in the main pool bathroom. There is a shop in the hotel. The local bus goes into Athens each day if you fancy it. There are watersports at the hotel. No complaints here. Would recommend the hotel.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter auf sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es stehen auch überall Behälter für Müll zur Verfügung. Wie schon andere geschrieben gaben, findet die Animation fast ausschließlich auf französisch statt. Die Essensauswahl ist sehr gut uns schmeckt super lecker. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Leider ist dad Hotel etwas abseits vom Geschehen, falls es das in Nea Makri überhaupt gibt. Der Strand ist sauber nur direkt am Hotel sehr schmal. Aber sauber und es sind viele Liegen vorhanden. Im allgemeinen ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Great experience. Flying in from the US, I feel comfortable comparing this property to all inclusive resorts in Mexico for example. It’s is more remote; 30-45 min from the airport and a bit over 1 hr from Athens. The rooms/bungalows are close to everything. The reception staff is responsive. There are water sports available at an extra fee at the beach. Areas that need improvement are- food variety, irons availability in each room, more seating at the beach, lobby entertainment and lobby bar being opened.

Last minute booking to this hotel. Lovely pool area, great snacks and drinks and friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast was high quality, well presented with lots of choice. We only had one night stay, but left wanting more. Beach and view to die for. Perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the city. Easy drive in and out, plenty of free parking.

This isn't an all inc that I have ever experienced before! So we stayed here for 4 nights and were in the bungalows, the rooms were spacious and clean, although the bathroom could do with some updating. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but there was a fridge. There are 3 pools, so they never felt crowded, the beach is a few minutes walk through reception. They had morning yoga and aqua aerobics in the pool next to the beach, you just need to find out the times. Only local brand drinks are included, any branded alcohol and soft drinks are at a charge. Meals times are limited, so not available all day. Limited veggie and vegan options, enough to have a good meal, but the food gets repetitive, if you eat meat, its not a problem. Again the 'snacks' available at the bars aren't useful for veggies/vegans. There are long periods between availability of meals. The only entertainment is geared towards the french, so nothing for other languages. You can't get bottled water, unless you buy it at the onsite shop, they do have water fountains at each bar, so can fill up a bottle of your own, or get a glass from the bar. The beach/pool towels are only available near the beach bar and you have to pay a €10 deposit for each one which is fully refundable. Ice cream is available during meals times, which you just scoop yourselves, however if you want one between meals, they are available at the bars but you have to pay for them.

I personally think what you need to improve is the quality of your drinks for all inclusive. The coffee was not strong, because it was instant not from beans, the cocktails were poorly made and all of it were served in paper cups that got soaked in minutes. The place all together is wonderful in terms of food,views and hospitality.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans l'hôtel Golden Coast. La chambre était un peu vieillote dans le bungalow dans lequel nous avons séjourné et nécessiterait un rafraichissement et un relooking pour changer les meubles assez vétustes et remplacer la baignoire par une douche dans la salle de bains. Sinon, la chambre était propre et bien entretenue. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique, réactif et dynamique que ce soit dans les restaurants, à la réception ou l'équipe d'animation. L'hôtel est bien situé directement au bord de la plage et très calme. Les transats sont en nombre suffisant aussi bien sur la plage qu'au bord des piscines. Les repas sont variés et de très bonne qualité dans les différents restaurants. Nous recommandons cet hôtel qui après un rafraîchissement des chambres vaudrait 5 étoiles.

Everyone speaks only French so for Americans, its difficult. Food is absolutely unpalatable.We spent extra money everyday eating out at neighboring restaurant that we had to walk to, because the food and drinks were so watered down and terrible.

Das Essen war super und die Nähe zum Strand ebenfalls. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist außerdem hilfsbereit und reagiert schnell bei Anfragen. Man sollte wissen, dass das Programm dort (Animation) fast nur auf französischsprachige Gäste ausgelegt ist. Die Zimmer sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen (Einrichtung) und leider war der Balkon sehr dreckig (Taubenkacke), wurde auch während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Das war bei beiden Zimmern der Fall. Das zweite Bett war sehr klapprig, Gottseidank musste nur das Baby drauf schlafen aber ansonsten konnte man nur sehr vorsichtig drauf sitzen, da ansonsten die Lattenroste rausgefallen sind. Das Essen ist fantastisch, daher nochmal erwähnenswert, denn die Auswahl beim Buffet ist sehr groß und das Essen frisch und heiß (ist bei Buffet nicht immer selbstverständlich). Die Anlage ist insgesamt schön angelegt und die Leute verteilen sich gut bei mehreren Pools, das ist ganz angenehm.

Das Zimmer war sehr abgewohnt. Parkplätze waren reichlich vorhanden. Zum essen musste man paar schritte gehen, dann war reichlich essen vorhanden aber leider nichts wirklich griechisches. Dafür fast immer das gleiche und nur mäßig warm. Die Getränke sind so gut wie alle aus Sirup mit Wasser gemischt. Der Wein ist mit Wasser gemischt, das Bier ist dafür ganz Okay. Für ein paar Tage gehts, wer länger bleibt sollte auch mal wo anders essen.

The pools are only open between 10-7 when there are lifeguards on and sports areas and equipment is the same but gear isn't available over the lunch period so we felt this was a little limiting when we had kids and the entertainment in the evenings was 95% french. Bunglows were kept tidy however were rather dated and came with a kitchen but were without any utensiles ect but unecessary considering full board. So whilst we did enjoy our stay we would unlikely come back
