The pool facilities was a main reason to chose the hotel vs other options in town. The pool was green, not enough water to hit the skimmer and completely filthy. The hot tub had a brown tinge to the water and also water levels so low it could not be running through the filter. Very unsafe.

Beautiful, quiet place to stay at if you want to relax and reset. Their gym is complete with equipments and you get access to the pool and hot tub at your finger tips. The West Coast Grill restaurant is also on the premise making it convenient for guests. Beaches and the pot holes are nearby. Overall it is a well maintained, clean and quiet place to stay in Sooke. Will definitely stay here again.

I liked the hotel, lights in the hall ways could use some brighter bulbs. Food was great and so we’re the staff. Only thing that wasn’t great was the water quality of the pool and spa. I wouldn’t wish on anyone to get in that water as it was disgusting. I’m in the pool industry, and I made it aware to them that they weren’t in compliance with health and safety based on the conditions of the water. They didn’t do anything about it, which in my opinion isn’t okay. So be aware of the pool and spa before you enter, especially your children.

We enjoyed our stay at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort! The location is beautiful, right on the harbourfront. Our kids (and us too!) loved seeing the seals swim and play in the water right in front of the hotel. We used the complimentary kayaks and got even closer to the seals! That was the highlight of our trip for sure. The room was very spacious, however the room furniture was a bit odd - the table/desk was so large that it had to be wedged into a corner, but the night table was tiny, had tons of space between it and the 2 queen beds, and did not have secondary night tables on the outer sides. We had breakfast in the West Coast Grill restaurant, it was excellent as well.

The front desk staff were fantastic! The room was very clean. Pool area is nice but could use a good clean and fixing of some tiles in the hot tub. Overall, fabulous place to stay. The view is spectacular!

The property is in a quiet area with a fantastic frontage. Service was generally good. My room was large, clean, and well resourced. However, I did not expect to see peeling wallpaper in the corridors. While the quality of the room was good, the poor condition of the area outside the room really chilled the experience.

Its a nice property - and got patio room which was great (other than hot/no shade during super sunny day). Major complaint would be not at all sound proof and room very bright in morning. Was woken 2 days in a row to people going out for fishing charters at 6am - could hear every word and step which was a bunmer. Then because patio door didnt keep sun out, room super bright so couldnt get back to sleep. Dont think they can do much re lack of sound proofing between rooms/floors, but hopefully theyll invest in curtain on doors to keep out bright sun directly on room. Would be amazing to have umbrella on personal patios too but might be tough given how windy it can get. Overall not bad hotel/experinence.

The hotel is on the water and it's absolutely beautiful. There's a small bar for adults and a restaurant for families to dine at. The room was very spacious and very nice. Huge bathroom with a giant shower. Large TV in the room and a small TV in the bathroom. Air conditioning was really nice since it was really hot out. The staff were nice. The only thing that would have made it better was dining vouchers or breakfast included with the cost of the hotel.

Tranquil, gracious oceanfront hotel and we enjoyed our spacious King suite with comfortable bed, huge rain shower. So quiet too. Helpful staff, great restaurant, bar, and bake shop on site. Free parking and close to town (Sooke) and easy drive to sightseeing spots like Point No Point plus only an hour from Victoria, Huge deck with chairs to enjoy the view. Will be back.

This is a beautiful hotel set in a stunning location. I had the balcony suite and had the pleasure of watching about 5 seals playing around the dock while enjoying my breakfast in the sun. The room was well equipped with a fridge, sink, microwave and full dishware.The bed was comfy, room was large, views spectacular. Only downsides were that the kitchen closes at 9pm. So if you're looking for a late night snack better bring your own. Also, the TVs are old so you can't stream. There aren't any tv apps so your stuck with only a handful of regular tv channels. A little boring if you want to relax with some good tv. Otherwise, staff was amazing, stay was relaxing. Definitely a must hotel

Absolutely beautiful property and location. The pool could use a spruce up. Beware if you get a view room on the first floor that the lobby, outdoor seating area, and restaurant are all outside your window/balcony. We ended up keeping the blinds shut as otherwise we were on display for the hotel guests to observe. It spoiled our time. Otherwise, the room was clean and nicely decorated, elegant. Inwould go back but would ask about the room.

Staying for our first night away from our baby as a treat post attending a wedding. Our room faced out to the parking lot (not the best view) however, the lights that are over the entry way into the lobby are bright fluorescent and shine right into the room (even with the roller shade down). Felt like it was bright daylight until the sun came up...then it was just daylight. Didn't get a restful sleep we hoped for.

I called the hotel prior to arriving to let them know we’d been traveling all day and would be arriving around 9:30 PM. I specifically asked if they had a crib or playpen available for my toddler so we could just check in and go straight to bed. When we arrived at 9:30, we were greeted by a staff member who didn’t seem to understand my request and acted as though it was the first time she’d heard about it. Instead of confirming, she just said she’d “see if they had one” and handed me the check-in forms. I asked for dinner recommendations and was told all the restaurants were closed, then advised to “go to Subway.” At that point, I decided to skip dinner and just get some rest. When I went out to the car to get my wife and toddler, we ended up wandering around for about 15 minutes trying to find our room because no one told us where it was. There were two separate parts to the building, which we didn’t realize, and despite us clearly looking lost with luggage and a toddler, not one staff member offered help. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi required logging in through a special site that didn’t even work on certain browsers. We arrived at 9:30 PM and left at 7:30 AM, and for $450, I was shocked at the poor service. Save your money — I’d recommend a Motel 8 over this place any day

This hotel is very beautiful. Sooke has so much natural beauty and the harbour is active yet still calm. A great place to escape to. The town of Sooke doesn’t have a lot to do but the coast toward Port Renfrew has so much to offer. A fantastic home base. I personally loved the cafe. Multiple coffees each day.

Fantastic restaurant. We enjoyed both the Happy hour and a more formal dinner. Good and easy parking. Charming location. Lots of cozy spots to sit outside and enjoy, but can’t bring your own food and drinks.

The views are spectacular, worth paying extra for seaside view. Island Tarts Cafe is a gem, the avocado toast is a must. The Bar and Grill is great for any meal of the day!

Great place to stay. Quiet clean and friendly. Food was lousy in the restaurant, but if you order in the Vault bar the menu is better!

The hotel presents well, but there are a few challenges that warrant a lower rating than I first thought I would give. Location: One really needs to drive to see anything or go anywhere. There are no sidewalks, it is on the highway and nothing is really close by, only one expensive restaurant, besides the ones at the hotel. Public Areas: The hotel does not allow you to eat or drink any food not purchased at their restaurants on the grounds. This means that if you bring back some food, you are stuck eating it in your room. We typically bring down something to eat and drink at least once in our stay, but we were unable to do this at this hotel. We were there 3 nights (S-Wed), and many restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesday, so we ended up having to eat at the hotel restaurant more times than we had planned. It would have been nice to just pick up some food one of those nights and enjoy it in the public areas. The house keeping staff was great on the first night, but the second night they did not fill the tissues and left only about 10 in the box, also the bed was not as neat as I would have expected at the Prestige Ocean Front Resort. There are games being played at the dining room with regards to reserving tables. I was told that they could not guarantee a specific table- but it depended the parties. That was fine, but then when I arrived, I was told that the three tables by the window were all reserved for a party of 9 (they each seat 4) .

The views are extraordinary. The property is very well maintained. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant is very good.. The staff is very kind. We enjoyed our stay.
