Easy shuttle bus to and from Shimoda train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean spacious room. Clean swimming pool and onsen area. Easy access to the beach and 7 Eleven nearby.

It’s in a perfect location literally right across from Shirahama beach!! Beautiful views from the room. The hotel itself is definitely dated. But the room is exactly what we wanted. A traditional Japanese style room. We had to lay out our beds and everything. So that was fun and unique. The onsen and public baths were nice too! Only thing I didn’t like was the sauna was a “private” experience that was like $60-70 extra for 2 hours. Not great. At the end of the day, we basically wanted a classic Japanese room to sleep at night and be a good home base to explore shimoda from. And for that, it was amazing! I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for that. But luxurious, it was not. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

While the property looks a bit dated, it is clean and well-maintained. The public onsen bath was good. Staff were courteous and helpful.There are plenty of parking spaces.

Pool was under repair and not useable; we were not aware of that prior to arriving. Was not noted on booking etc. We might have held off travelling to this location or booked at another time when pool was operational had we known
