Lovely comfortable room and a nice bar / restaurant area. Food was very nice but quite expensive as were the drinks. Doesnt help that they add 12.5% service charge to every bill. That's an Americanism that's sadly snuck into this country. Service is part of the job and should be covered by staff wages paid by the pub. Tips should be optional and not automatically added.

We very much enjoyed the lovely dinner on Sunday evening in the pub. Best English meal I’ve had in a long time. We didn’t care for the small gravel parking and walkways and how difficult it made dragging our luggage to and from the room.

Lovely property and location, beautiful newly renovated rooms let down by a weird check in experience. They are primarily a pub / restaurant so I felt like an afterthought and had nowhere to park because of all the restaurant customers. I walked into the pub and it was unclear who I should talk to. There were some staff sitting behind a computer at a table in the restaurant but they just ignored me. It took the bartender coming out from behind the bar once I made eye contact with a confused expression to get my key. He was nice to be fair, but if they had a sign somewhere with check in instructions that would’ve been easier

Super friendly and efficient staff with excellent food and clean room. Really enjoyed our stay. Car parking for larger vehicles when busy a little restricted but understandably busy as such a lovely pub and great food

Propery was vey nice, good parking, room was good. But not very clean, don’t think the radiator had been cleaned this year. Bar staff very good. Average costs per night was 204.00, no breakfast included. Seems not matter what site this hotel is booked or what price, breakfast never include. Restaurant staff said they had a power cut in the kitchen, so could only do bar snacks, yet still did some hot tapas type food, didn’t ring true. Breakfast was nice, but only 1 person on & we had to ask for everything, cutlery, coffee milk, it wasn’t that busy, should have been another person on, it was like she didn’t want to do the job. However breakfast was very nice & came quickly. Ceiling in the bar /main area low, which added to the decor, but tall people be aware.

What a lovely gem. The rooms were so lovely warm, cosy and clean. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast when we arrived and then a lovely full English breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning. The staff were also nice and welcoming.

What a lovely pub and hotel. Had a fantastic stay here this weekend. We loved the comfortable bed and extras- such as the coffee machine. Plenty of space a a really nice bath with shower. Excellent location for Windsor.

Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Pub is convenient for meals or a pint. Easy drive to Heathrow airport. Lighting in room could be better but overall we had a nice, one night stay.

Did what we needed which was to be a “spare room” for a Christmas family visit. In room 11 which is off the pub carpark so easy to get in and out. Quite a lot of noise from the folks outside the pub until closing time, but didn’t disturb us much. Terrible drain smell when we got back late on the first night but was gone in the morning. Shame we didn’t have time to eat in the pub itself which we know from previous visits is very good.

Really lovely pub and accommodation set in a beautiful area. I would definitely stay there again. Room had tv, DAB radio, cordless phone charger, modern fan. Bathroom great size.

Good location. Super food and service at the venue in the evening. The breakfast service on the Saturday wasn’t great though. The room was comfortable but the hot water supply could be improved. I am sure we will use this venue again in the future.

Unfortunately we we unable to stay at the property hence the rating so please don’t let this be reflected. We arrived at 20:00 Approx after I had checked in online earlier in the day.to be told when we had been relocated to another hotel down the road the owner had paid for our breakfast as well.we did eat at the WP lovely food. Shame we didn’t stay there as I had booked it in Dec 2022. I would say it looked a great place. I understand it is the locals place to go to very busy and vibrant. It would have been nicer if we had been told earlier in the day and the decision for us to make if we had wanted to return home . Whilst I can not fault the owner of the WP to provide us with alternative accommodation a very short distance was very nice it would have been better if they had contacted us earlier and not at 20:00 5 minutes before we arrived …!

Gorgeous rooms, very helpful staff and very accommodating when we were a little late coming in for breakfast. This is our second stay here and my only regret is not spending more time in the pub/hotel to enjoy the atmosphere.

We have stayed here before and it is ideally located for family visits. The staff were excellent and the room was above expectations. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. One word of warning - if you want to eat dinner here make sure to book well ahead as it gets very busy (not surprisingly)

The rooms we stayed in, were right out the front, and they were lovely, very spacious, well equipped, couldn’t hear any noises other than cars leaving the car park. The beds were comfy, the shower was brilliant, the only thing wrong with the room was when you turned the taps on the sink, it made a loud groan, like moaning myrtle was right there with you! The only issue we had with the place was on the morning of check out, we went for breakfast, and honestly could not have been made to feel any more unwelcome, the server was very very rude, I would guess potentially she thought she was going to have a quiet morning and 2 of us having breakfast completely ruined that idea for her. Other than that, would 100% recommend staying here.

The beds were comfy, the shower was brilliant, the only thing wrong with the room was when you turned the taps on the sink, it made a loud groan, like moaning myrtle was right there with you! The only issue we had with the place was on the morning of check out, we went for breakfast, and honestly could not have been made to feel any more unwelcome, the server was very very rude, I would guess potentially she thought she was going to have a quiet morning and 2 of us having breakfast completely ruined that idea for her. Other than that, would 100% recommend staying here.

This is such an outstanding pub run by Collin the Landlord. The staff are professional and welcoming. We were shown to our rooms at the back which were very quiet and had a small garden terrace outside which was private. Spotless room. The bed was super comfy and great pillows. Nice to have plenty of coffee and a Nespresso machine and a kettle. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and delicious, being all home made. A small detail were the hot plates the hot food was served on, so often overlooked. We will definately be back. Anyone visiting Windsor would find here an excellent base and only around 15 minutes away. Taxi to Windsor is around £17. Uber would also be available, possible cheaper.

What a lovely pub and hotel. Had a fantastic stay here this weekend. We loved the comfortable bed and extras- such as the coffee machine. Plenty of space a a really nice bath with shower. Excellent location for Windsor.

Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Pub is convenient for meals or a pint. Easy drive to Heathrow airport. Lighting in room could be better but overall we had a nice, one night stay.

Really lovely pub and accommodation set in a beautiful area. I would definitely stay there again. Room had tv, DAB radio, cordless phone charger, modern fan. Bathroom great size.

I can’t imagine a more charming English pub/restaurant/B&B combination. About a 20 pound Uber ride from Windsor castle, it was well worth paying. room was clean and comfortable, food options were good.

We have stayed here before and it is ideally located for family visits. The staff were excellent and the room was above expectations. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. One word of warning - if you want to eat dinner here make sure to book well ahead as it gets very busy (not surprisingly)

Although a couple of administrative issues were encountered, these were immediately and appropriately reacted to. Accommodation, food (breakfast and dinner), bar and service all excellent. Lovely traditional rural pub with rooms. Great location close to Windsor and Heathrow.

We very much enjoyed the lovely dinner on Sunday evening in the pub. Best English meal I’ve had in a long time. We didn’t care for the small gravel parking and walkways and how difficult it made dragging our luggage to and from the room.

The Winning Post is delightful! The newly renovated rooms are fabulous. We are previous guests, and always enjoy this Hotel. The new menu is delicious, we would stay just for the food. The staff are very attentive and all together its a lovely stay, always too short.

Good location. Super food and service at the venue in the evening. The breakfast service on the Saturday wasn’t great though. The room was comfortable but the hot water supply could be improved. I am sure we will use this venue again in the future.

Worst check in experience- which I did try and talk through with the manager on check out and although he was pleasant in his manner I did not feel heard. Because of the errors at check in I did not feel I would be supported had I flagged up all the issues. Housekeeping is poor. The room was pretty and made you feel like you were in your own cottage with a door to the garden but reviews probably over rate this place because of the first impression. Flooring was amtico style with coir mat which did feel nicer than old grubby carpets of many hotels. Cleanliness could have been better the soap containers were very grubby so you were making your hands dirtier to wash them! Housekeeping threw the replacement towels (we were cut down by one) on the bed. I had to change a bulb round. The double bed had not been connected correctly and divided which could have resulted in serious injury. The fan controls needed a new battery. Walls seem thin so you can hear other guests and the presentation as you walk in needs massive clean. Having had a drink in the bar general untidiness and loose dogs did not inspire me to eat there. Parking was easy which is important to me and able to get very close to the room. Hopefully other guests would not have the check in experience but I do feel this place is well over priced for the standard they are delivering

I have a few times in some of their pubs and this is the best of all 3. Staff are excellent l arrived late beyond meal but they went out of there to get me something hot. Also helped with cutting my food as l have a fracture, morning breakfast yummy loved everything about the place. Bedrooms are quite roomy compared. Hope he was the manager and K who got me some meal. K helped with my bags to my room. 2 young man who’d been to SA lovely chat. Friendly staff but still doing their job. Would 100% recommend. Ample parking.
