Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and spotlessly clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, very good quality food and served in a friendly manner. It was also great to have the guests lounge which we used several times. We were given all the relevant information for check in and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge and would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

A really lovely couple of nights at Holly Lodge. The hospitality shown from Kirsty and Barbara was 1st class and couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming and homely stay. The lounge is a beautiful and relaxing area to sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful Xmas tree . Really enjoyed the couple of visits to the health club using both the gym and the Spa which was a wonderful perk. You really can’t beat the location of Holly Lodge, literally a 90 second walk cutting through the Sainsbury’s local car park will get you onto the wonderful little high street with fantastic local shops and fantastic restaurants and cafes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge for a break in the Lake District. Many thanks to all the staff.

Lovely stay at this property, easy check in with self check in. The only downside I would say was the parking which is of no fault of the owners but another guest had parked their car in a very awkward position meaning it was impossible to get past to the available spaces at the back of the property so we had to park on the street at first.

Great central location, very comfortable room, excellent vegan option breakfast. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Very welcoming. Used the complimentary spa 5 minutes down the road by car. Only wish we had been told to take padlocks with us for the lockers as they are not provided but are necessary.

Would not hesitate to return. Bedroom was beautiful, bed super comfortable. Mini fridge was extremely handy. Breakfast was filling and delicious. Location brilliant, free parking a bonus.

Perfect place to stay to explore the Lake District. The breakfast was a great start to the day and always served quickly with great service. Also access to the health club was a real benefit as that had great facilities.

Great place to stop to see around the lake district. Very warm, welcoming hosts. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice and a good variety of options. Plenty of onsite parking for guests. Can be a bit tight to park around the back of the building but makes good entertainment for the hosts to watch

Made to feel incredibly welcome. Property is in a fantastic location to walk to the many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops in Windermere. Room was big, shower was good and nice little seating area in the bedroom. There is a lovely lounge for guests to use, which we made use of after a nice evening out.

Really lovely B & B just a few minutes walk into the centre which had plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants It’s also near the Orrest Head walk with spectacular views. We ate at Tapios one night for delicious tapas and highly recommended them. Our second night we ate at The Pig ( name changed to Tilly’s ) and had their Cajun chicken burger… yummy! We opted for a full English breakfast which was not the biggest one I’ve had but cooked fresh and nicely presented and the option of cereal and toast as well Our room (2) on the first floor at the front had a lovely window seat which was lovely to sit on and read for a bit. It was also very spacious and clean. And lastly the icing on the cake was the use of the pool at the local leisure centre which was literally a 5 minute drive. We spent a couple of hours in there both days and had the place virtually to ourselves !! The jacuzzi, steam room and pool were amazing. Thank you so much for providing a break that was sheer relaxation

We have just got home from a 2 night stay, had a fantastic time, the location is perfect with plenty of things to do. Our room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice both mornings, staff very friendly and we would definitely stay here again, thank you

I had a lovely short stay in this very neat and tidy central Holly Lodge boutique guest house. The team were all friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and well decorated with a supper kingsize comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely. And I was made to feel very welcome.

This guest house was a great place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The owners were so friendly and helpful. They really made you feel at home. Convenient for walking around the shops and accessing restaurants. Easy and convenient parking. Great stay. Would recommend it!

Our room was cosy and the bed very comfortable. The location is perfect, right in town for easy access to restaurants and bars, with plenty of lovely walks nearby or just a short drive away. The only downside was breakfast on the Saturday: my husband’s full English was quite overcooked, and my porridge was more like raw oats in warm milk, not creamy at all. Thankfully, the following morning’s breakfast of crumpets and scrambled eggs was much better, so perhaps just an off day for the chef. Overall, a lovely place to stay, we’d definitely return. x

Pleasant guest house. Good parking. Room and breakfast were fine. Unfortunately we didn’t sleep well due to it being located next to a food delivery company which started loading their vans at 5.30am. Perhaps other rooms would be less noisy (we had room 8).

Holly Lodge was just what we needed for an anniversary weekend away. Room and hotel were lovely, breakfast was great and we were located within a stones throw away from all local shops, cafes etc. All the team made us feel very welcome and we loved our stay. Thanks again

I had such a warm welcome from Bonnie and her family. My room was lovely, everything i needed. The bed was lovely and comfortable too. Lots of breakfast choice and the cooked breakfast was delicous. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. The location of the guest house is a few mins walk from the centre so perfectly situated. Aa a solo traveller i would definatly recommend Holly House to stay and I would go back and stay for sure. Totally recommend to friends and family

A really lovely couple of nights at Holly Lodge. The hospitality shown from Kirsty and Barbara was 1st class and couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming and homely stay. The lounge is a beautiful and relaxing area to sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful Xmas tree . Really enjoyed the couple of visits to the health club using both the gym and the Spa which was a wonderful perk. You really can’t beat the location of Holly Lodge, literally a 90 second walk cutting through the Sainsbury’s local car park will get you onto the wonderful little high street with fantastic local shops and fantastic restaurants and cafes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge for a break in the Lake District. Many thanks to all the staff.

We have just got home from a 2 night stay, had a fantastic time, the location is perfect with plenty of things to do. Our room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice both mornings, staff very friendly and we would definitely stay here again, thank you

Super friendly and welcoming host, we had a wonderful time staying here. The guest house is in a nice location, which just takes 7-8 minutes walk from Windermere station. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and those breakfast options are all great, can’t wait to visit here again.

Perfect place to stay to explore the Lake District. The breakfast was a great start to the day and always served quickly with great service. Also access to the health club was a real benefit as that had great facilities.

We're got the first parking space by arriving early at about 11:30am. Good location, 30 mins walk to Bowness, Millerground Lakeshore and Orrest Head. We liked the food at Graze cafe, Rastelli's Pizzeria and Homeground Coffee + Kitchen. We liked the decorations of house and good selection of breakfast with friendly staff service. The WiFi was fast but busy at night time. One minor thing the no window bathroom's extractor fan wasn't working.

Made to feel incredibly welcome. Property is in a fantastic location to walk to the many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops in Windermere. Room was big, shower was good and nice little seating area in the bedroom. There is a lovely lounge for guests to use, which we made use of after a nice evening out.

Really lovely B & B just a few minutes walk into the centre which had plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants It’s also near the Orrest Head walk with spectacular views. We ate at Tapios one night for delicious tapas and highly recommended them. Our second night we ate at The Pig ( name changed to Tilly’s ) and had their Cajun chicken burger… yummy! We opted for a full English breakfast which was not the biggest one I’ve had but cooked fresh and nicely presented and the option of cereal and toast as well Our room (2) on the first floor at the front had a lovely window seat which was lovely to sit on and read for a bit. It was also very spacious and clean. And lastly the icing on the cake was the use of the pool at the local leisure centre which was literally a 5 minute drive. We spent a couple of hours in there both days and had the place virtually to ourselves !! The jacuzzi, steam room and pool were amazing. Thank you so much for providing a break that was sheer relaxation

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and spotlessly clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, very good quality food and served in a friendly manner. It was also great to have the guests lounge which we used several times. We were given all the relevant information for check in and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge and would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Great central location, very comfortable room, excellent vegan option breakfast. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Very welcoming. Used the complimentary spa 5 minutes down the road by car. Only wish we had been told to take padlocks with us for the lockers as they are not provided but are necessary.

Our room was cosy and the bed very comfortable. The location is perfect, right in town for easy access to restaurants and bars, with plenty of lovely walks nearby or just a short drive away. The only downside was breakfast on the Saturday: my husband’s full English was quite overcooked, and my porridge was more like raw oats in warm milk, not creamy at all. Thankfully, the following morning’s breakfast of crumpets and scrambled eggs was much better, so perhaps just an off day for the chef. Overall, a lovely place to stay, we’d definitely return. x

We really enjoyed our stay thank you. Great room and very friendly staff near and tidy place. Would have liked a fruit or yogurt option at breakfasts with the continential selection, cooked breakfast was very tasty.

Wow what a little gem of a place very nicely decorated throughout bedrooms were lovely they had even put balloons and a banner up for my my gf and left us a pair of swan towels and rose petals on bed as i had mentioned it was her birthday my gf loved this and it was such a thoughtful thing to do. the breakfast was top notch good variety of choice and the added extra of being able to use a local gym literally five mins away for there pool and hot tub and steam and sauna room was icing on cake (included with your stay) When i booked i got a lovely msg from them to ask if i needed any recommendations i asked for places to eat and they provided a comprehensive list of places we opted for one called magic roundabout which was about 20min walk away (luckily all down hill 👍we opted for a cab back up 😂 but if your a person who enjoys a stroll it can be walked there and back we both have mobility issues so one way was enough for us ) Its in a great location we ended up having a few beers at a the crafty baa which was so close prob five min if that and had a lovely evening would highly recommend holly lodge and we will deffo be visiting again chace & jo

We were greeted by Kirsty on arrival and she was very pleasant and helpful. We were shown to our room, which had a view of the mountains in the distance. The room was very clean and comfortable, the only downside was the shower which was quite small. The breakfast was delicious. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely go back. Highly recommended 🙂
