Huskisson Bayside Resort

Easy check in. Unable to get car spot when we returned but otherwise, good bed, large towels and clean,all we needed for 1 night stay

Superb location, walking distance to the main street. Older style complex with updated and very clean rooms. Added benefit of a great Malaysian restaurant onsite.

We liked it, 3 day's was enough, check in was easy, girls doing the cleaning were terrific, really good pool. Now as far as being modern it does need updating and it's not the Hilton but you are not paying Hilton prices

The resort is a two-story motel with an on-site restaurant and free parking in front of the ground floor rooms and provides free Wi-Fi. The pool is around the side, next to a BBQ facility, but the grounds need some landscaping. The location is convenient, a few hundred metres to a beach and an easy walk into Huskisson shops and pubs/club and restaurants. The upstairs room we had was comfortable although in need of refurbishment (rusty shower rail, gaps in the wall where the old air conditioner had been installed). The new air conditioner was good, there was a settee, a round table with chairs and a sink and cooking facilities. The manager did indicate that there as a refurbishment program underway and some rooms had been completed. Most of the housekeeping staff worked hard to prepare rooms but some housekeeping staff responsible for the rooms on the Hawke St side (where we were) were very lackadaisical and did not make up our room or provide fresh towels on some days. We had to chase up the manager, who was friendly and helpful, and he personally delivered fresh towels to our room

Second time staying here. Great location to shops and beach. Onsite restaurant was amazing too

A comfortable room with basic fitout. Netflix a bonus BBQ area dysfunctional during windy weather because the BBQ burners cant heat the hotplate. Overall, handy location & clean room at a reasonable price. .

Very run down property , cleaning was dubious, behind bathroom door was thick dust

Very average experience. The room had a peculiar smell to it. The mattress and pillows had the same smell. Really think the room needed a good airing. Hot water not very good at all. Both taps had to be put on full to get any result. No local information available in the rooms. No free to air tv channels either. The room was spacious enough with adequate towels and toiletries.

A nice clean, well appointed and quiet Motel in easy walking distance of the beach, bay, shopping, whale watching tours etc.

Room comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bed comfy and bathroom and water pressure great. A very short walk to centre of town. For the cost was very good 👍

check in and out we’re super easy. only negative was that room 23 where we stayed had air con noise (we think) all throughout the night from other rooms, it was very loud and hard to sleep

Old motel being slowly renovated. Rooms are very spacious with really comfortable beds. Bathrooms have been updated. Appreciated the large room for our five night stay. Close to beaches, shops and cafes.

Room was clean and tidy. Only thing disappointing was the bathroom, needs an upgrade. Water pressure was non existence, no hooks to hang towels, very small for a possible three person room.

Great location and a good sized room for a small family staying for four nights. Great playground across the road and lots of wonderful restaurants nearby and a short walk to the dolphin cruise pickup point. The on-site Malaysian restaurant was also good with friendly staff. But unfortunately noisy - the pipes in room 6 bang continuously like a loud jackhammer when someone in a neighboring room uses the shower (this happened over the four nights we stayed there, at midnight, and again at 5am, then 5:30, then 6am etc. even 3am on ANZAC day morning.) it was a big problem for us. Also the shower would leak water onto the bathroom floor long after you’d had the shower and even if you dried the floor, so you always got wet feet/socks. And the queen bed in the room was pretty old and uncomfortable, needs replacing. But the single bed, my kid reported, was great.

Taps need maintenance. There were loud, sharp noises of malfunctioning taps when anyone in the neighbouring room used the tap; it was deafening, especially at night. We had trouble sleeping due to this.

The room was spaceous, with refrigerator, tea, coffee, kettle and SMART TV. Everything was functional. Carpet appeared new. Bedding was okay, not the best and certainly not the worst. Bathroom was okay but sink and taps were old two knob, small sink, little shelf area to put your things, but was nostalgic and a little fun. Bathroom light was box and tube type. The bathroom could use an update but it is a motel not the Hyatt. I would return here if in the area again and if the price was right.

Room was a good size and clean. Beds Ok. The bathroom was tiny and badly in need of modernisation. Only one small and shabby mirror in the room.

Great location. The room needed maintenance and TLC. The front window should of had a sheer curtain for privacy as we needed to close the block out curtains which had small holes. The blind above the bed couldn't be pulled down as the cord was broken.

The location is amazing and the room is really big. It’s a little outdated but clean. Short walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

place was nice, friendly staff they let me check out late after my tour and one of the ladies came out and talked to me until my Shuttle for sydney arrived and when they thought the shuttle was going to me late they offered to call for me...they were wonderful!

Owner always plesant and staff welcoming. Rooms clean and comfy. Will stay again.

Noone to check us in, waited outside and it was cold. Until another guest showed up and reached someone to let us know where the room key was stached. No wify password given even after calling since again noone at the reception / manager office. Only in the morning hot water came in.

Website stated 8.4/10 reviews. Not sure where they got that from. Google reviews I noted later was 3.2/10. Photos on the website are misleading and outdated, probably taken when the “resort” first opened many years ago. Never saw any staff. Room appeared clean but pretty poor quality. Never stayed. Found somewhere else cheaper that was 10x better. Grossly overpriced for something not much better than a cheap campsite room.

Very nice stay over Easter long weekend. The staffs are very friendly and nice. Paula in the front desk helped us with early check in. She is very helpful and nice.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was perfectly located, just a short walk from the beach and close to a variety of restaurants. The area was very quiet, allowing us to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The property was well within our budget, and we found it to be clean and comfortable. It provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

Nice and close to a park, the beach, town centre, and a paved walking path to Vincentia and Plantation Point for those who like exercise (12 km return stroll).

The price of this accommodation was reasonable and it is in a great location very near restaurants and a beautiful shore walk. However, the bathroom was very tired and the space wasn't as comfortable as we'd have liked for relaxing in the evening. The room was very long, with a small TV at one end and the bed at the other. There was a foldout lounge but it needed to be turned to see the screen but it was awkward.

Walked to Jervis Bay and went on a whale watching tour. Then ate lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. Beautiful town and friendly people.

The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. This is an older style motel but was perfect for what we wanted. It's writing easy walking distance to everything.
