The onsen with Mt Fuji views is a highlight, but facilities and layout feel dated, with multiple elevators and some areas cold or smelling of smoke. Parking and a limited-hours station shuttle are available.

Reports are mixed: some rooms are clean, while others have bathroom odors, mold, dust, stains, or occasional insects; windows and shared areas sometimes need better upkeep. Hallway smoke smells and old linens are also noted.

Rooms are often spacious, traditional tatami-style, and offer outstanding Mt Fuji or lake views. Downsides include dated furnishings, very firm beds, and poor soundproofing that makes neighbor noise easy to hear.

Many guests found staff friendly, helpful, and accommodating, with attentive meal service and lost-and-found support. However, recurring complaints cite limited staffing, indifferent or rude front-desk interactions, and some process issues (e.g., refund disputes or cleaners entering too soon).

Scenic lakeside setting with quiet surroundings and bus stops or a hotel shuttle aiding access, but it’s a 15–20 minute walk to the station and shops are limited nearby. Convenience depends on using the shuttle or local buses.

Traditional dinners and breakfasts earn strong praise for taste, variety, and generous portions. A few negatives include allergy handling, an occasional subpar dinner, and food smells in hallways.
