Americas Best Value Inn Winona

I meant to book the hotel in Winona Minnesota. I'm not used to doing online booking and booked Winona Mississippi by mistake. I tried many times to contact the hotel but could not reach the actual front desk in Mississippi. Finally reached something called chat and got some help canceling one night, But could not cancel the second night. I'm still getting emails and not sure if there is a way to cancel the second night. this was an old lady STUPID mistake! Thankfully I did find a place to stay here in Minnesota and was able to attend a very special family event. ...just need to afford reservation in Mississippi and now in Minnesota. I guess I am some kind of your hotel Loyalty, Blue something member based on prior stays so just asking once more is there a way to get help on this cancellation. Appreciate anything anyone can do. Thank you

basic hotel quiet and clean

Last minute stay. Yes it’s a bargain priced hotel so I try and go in with low expectations of a clean room and amenities as advertised. I’ll start with the positive. The one staff member who checked us in - and the only staff member we came across - was pleasant. The room itself was clean. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom is where things fell apart. The shower was broken. It would only spray from the bottom and a trickle from the top. By this point my daughter was in bed so changing rooms would have been a hassle plus we were tools we’d gotten one of the last rooms when reserving several hours earlier. We’d come from being outside and I really wanted to get clean before climbing into bed so I decided I’d just use a rag and soap and rinse under the bath faucet as best I could. But after running the water for a solid ten minutes, I found there was no hot water either. Breakfast was not great and almost nothing left. Waffle machine was “out of order”. We got there 30 min before it ended and being from the service industry, I feel like if you’re going to advertise breakfast til a time, you can’t stop replenishing. There were no employees to ask about it the whole time we were done there which meant I also couldn’t tell them about the non-working shower. Again, I don’t expect much but for $109, I do expect working plumbing in the bathroom.

Rooms were clean and good beds. Nice motel to stay at. Friendly staff.
