Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tallahassee Central

Property was nice but the pool was closed and that was the MAIN reason I booked and I wished that I would have been informed before hand.

Nice pool great breakfast and friendly staff

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and the hotel's cleanliness. My room showed minor wear and tear but was still nice, clean, and a decent size. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Having a microwave and refrigerator in the room was essential, especially when traveling with kids—a definite plus. The compact living room area with a sofa bed and TV, separated from the bedroom, was a great touch. Hot coffee was always available in the lobby. The indoor pool and gym were also nice, with towels provided. The area nearby offered plenty of dining options, a pharmacy, and a gas station, all within walking distance. The breakfast was amazing—I just wish it lasted until 11 a.m. Fresh eggs, sausage patties (including turkey), yogurt, bagels, cereals, and waffles made to order were such fun! Everything was well-stocked by Ms. Wilmarie, who was fantastic. Brittney, our room attendant, was superb—very accommodating and pleasant. The front desk staff were equally impressive. Kayla handled my check-in professionally and courteously, and Ashley was kind during check-out, providing muffins for my kids since we missed breakfast. Everyone was so nice, and I truly appreciated the attention to guest needs and requests, which is something rare in today’s lack of hospitality in this industry so Thank you!

The Fairfield brand must have dropped considerably. Property was adequate, but shows it's wear. The fitness center was VERY small - one treadmill was non-working and the other had a loose tread that caused tripping; there were no workout mats and no cleaning wipes for after machine use (gross!). Key cards kept deactivating and we had to keep going to the desk to replace them. The breakfast was fine but hot food ran out at least 15 minutes before the end of breakfast. The best thing going for it was the location. At least I got my Bonvoy points.

One very creaky elevator with ratty carpet worked. We were told the other had been out of service for months. Cleaners knocked on our door before 8am and were grousing to each other in elevator about short staff and needing to clean 20 rooms- not exactly a “Bonvoy” experience.

Had 2 rooms, 1 handicapped and they set us up with adjoining rooms. We didnt use it, but very happy to have a shower chair available. I needed to wash clothes & the washer & dryer did great. Very handy.

cold indoor pool impossible to sleep on the sofa sleeper. Advertisement sounded good. Felt deceived after we arrived.

The room and hotel were very clean. My only issues were the water pressure in the shower and the amount of hot water available. Also, when leaving the hotel's parking lot, the front of my car was hitting the pavement because your driveway is very steep and not sloped correctly to join the road to exit the property.

One elevator was not working...

Indoor pool not heated. Hot breakfast but eggs were powdered but very mushy.

This property description online is far from what is expected. My room had roaches and also bed bugs . This location needs to be remodeled everything is outdated and old. Would not recommend staying here .

The hotel was very very clean and neat, the room and the bathroom was clean also.

Tv remote was missing and as I was looking for it I found cookies on the floor around the bed so the room obviously wasn’t swept

The bed sheets were dirty with crumbs and hair on them. The comforter had a brown stain on it. It was disgusting. We got there late and had to wait for receptionist for a while so when we got to the room we were very tired didn’t feel like waiting longer. Took off comforter, amd used pillows and a blanket we had with us.

Our room was disgusting. There was hair on our sheets, marijuana crumbs on the ground, ash marks on the couch, and literal fecal matter on the walls of the bathroom. Plus, the front desk made us re-make our own bed but also gave us the wrong sized sheets twice. Their idea of compensation for these issues was a bag of pretzels. I want my money back.

Room had wet carpet that never dried. Lights didn’t all work. Light missing light shade. Broken closet door. Cockroaches in room, alive!

The staff is very nice, there is only 1 person at the lobby desk at night and we encountered an issue with the door key system and there was only 1 person to help us and all the otger guests. She did have to call maintenece which is not on site. She was very accomodationg and the maint. Person came quickly. The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable and sunk in the middle. Do not book that as a place for anyone to sleep.

Front desk was nice. Breakfast had a lot of variety and plentiful. Beds were awful I felt like I was sleeping in a hammock sunk in the middle with sides up. Room outdated but still clean enough.

Good stay. Came in middle of the night so didn’t wake up in time to tell about breakfast. The place is very clean. The staff was professional. The suite we booked had a pull out bed that had more to be desired. It was more the size of a twin bed than a double. We made it work and everything else was ok. I’ll mention again that the place is clean and smells fresh. The walls and carpet are a little bit worn but not bad. For the price I was satisfied and would consider staying here again.

Really loud. Maybe because there was a wrestling team in town but I couldn’t sleep they were pretty lout either running up and down the halls and stopping above my room. My room was also next to the elevator

I arrived late and did not realize the AC was not working until I woke up at 3am and the room was 79 degrees. I informed the front desk in the am as it was so late. There was water dripping in the bathroom ceiling.

The hotel and staff were very pleasant and accomodating. The door lock could use some adjusting and the air condtioner was a bit noisy. Other than that, we have to say they have a wonderful buffet other than we did not see a regular coffee anywhere. It was either bold (and I do mean bold) which we know some people like or decaf.

Property location was great as far as access to restaurants and mall etc…however i was in room 422 and I could hear everything from the guests on both sides of me…from conversations to the noise from the tub/shower when running the water.. every ambulance (must be a firehouse or police station nearby) and I kept hearing sirens throughout the night… and every car that started in the parking lot downstairs especially those turbo that cranks up loudly. I didn’t get good night sleep due to the outside noise but the room itself was good and clean and breakfast was nice. Only issue with the room is the remote control was difficult to use possible batteries were low but I had this issue with another visit so remotes should be checked for lifespan more often.

Big letdown is they don’t have working fridge. Can’t keep anything cold. It not a huge expense to provide this and it makes a huge difference to the experience

The room is a real suite, beautiful and clean.

Hotel staff were helpful and had such a welcoming attitude. Room was clean and comfortable. They let us check in early as we had a funeral to get ready for, we were so thankful. And breakfast was good with many choices.

The hotel staff was friendly, polite and very helpful. Booking my stay for next week.

Excellent service

Manager of this hotel, left the front desk person overwhelmed during graduation weekend at Florida State University. Rooms were not ready an hour and a half after they were supposed to be ready by 3 PM. When a hotel like the Marriott has a standard that the room should be ready by 3 PM and they are not even ready by 4:30 PM and the front desk person is by themselves with no help from housekeeping manager to give her an idea of when the rooms will be ready. That’s the definition of poor management and a lack of taking ownership. You would expect the manager not to be taking a vacation during the busiest time of the year or at least have the in charge manager be present with thorough planning to ensure customer expectations are being met. I will be sending an email to the president of Marriott to express my concerns about this poor management structure at this hotel.

There was no attendant in the lobby upon arrival and had to wait quite a while for someone to show up. When the attendant did show up she seemed a bit bothered by having to check us in. Upon leaving, I asked the front desk attendant about where to drop off keycards and she rolled her eyes at me, clearly annoyed. Didn’t really understand why she was upset as I was very pleasant. Otherwise, the room was fairly nice and beds were comfortable.

I didn’t catch the name of the front office staff that checked me in this afternoon. She was polite, accommodating and just a lovely human. I had a long day of travel and it was most welcoming..

Amazing front desk staff. Very friendly check-in was super simple.

Place is a standard hotel. However whoever the lady working the night shift is very rude. I checked the food prices in the little shop and walked away and was immediately accused of stealing. And after emptying my pockets she just walked away and didn’t say anything else. Fix your staff. Liked having an indoor pool. But terrible night lady. Lady that checked us in was amazing.

The location was close to shopping. The staff (front desk and housekeeping) were accommodating. And the make-your-own waffles was a delicious addition to the breakfast.

Easy check in, exceptional breakfast, great location to downtown, lots of dining, shopping options nearby.

The Fairfield was a decent hotel with a very friendly staff. The room was clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. Getting in and out of the facility was challenging given the traffic on Apalachee and Capital Circle, but otherwise it was a fine place and I’ll definitely use it again.

Property was very hard to find because sign was blocked by foliage.

This property had an easy check-in/check-out process. It was quiet and clean and close to the airport.

This property was farther off the interstate than I would have preferred but that was my mistake. Very pleasant staff everywhere I was. Needs were extremely comfortable. Because I arrived late, they were out of king rooms so I was upgraded to a king suite. Very nice. Traveling by myself this trip, I really enjoyed being close to the elevators. Breakfast buffet was scrambled eggs, pork or turkey sausage, toast if you wish, bagels, oatmeal if you preferred with several toppings available or wafflesif you prefer. Fresh fruit was available, coffee and orange juice or apple juice. Would definitely recommend.

Located in a quest part of town, close to universities.

Comfortable newer facility with pleasant staffing. Just off busy street which makes ingress/egress challenging but not insurmountable

The driveway heading in and out of the property could use some work. Its so steep that my front bumper scraped the road as i was coming out of the hotels parking lot. Also it would be nice for breakfast to be kept out a little longer on weekdays. We got out to the lobby by 9 and almost everything was put away. My kids were pretty disappointed. Luckily i was able to grab a banana and bagel really quick before we got on the road again.

Drawers had not been cleaned well in furniture. Worst breakfast at a hotel that I ever experienced. The fruit and eggs were inedible.
