Mount Whittier Motel

Our 2 day stay was great! The exterior of the bldg was older, and reminded me of a wooden home possibly in Austria/ Germany. My 2nd floor room with 2 windows was perfect size for just me. My adult sons had a room with 2 Full beds, 1 window and had no complaints. The rooms were all new, designed nicely and had all the creature comforts. All rooms new and spotlessly clean! (Were we first to use??) ALL amenities were there and I cannot say enough about the perfect conditions of the rooms! Donna, at front desk is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The area was quiet even though off of main road. Had lots of parking. Not much to do on grounds- just a grassy area behind parking lot with 2 picnic tables. The outdoor hallway/walkway to rooms needed sweeping and possibly updating, but all in all a very good value for the $! I would definitely stay here again. The pics on-line are indicative of what you see is what you get.

Really enjoyed the outdoor space as we were there for Laconia Bike Rally and there was a few of us, so to be able to get outdoors together was great.

Was in the area for several days to attend an event at Club Motorsport. Gentleman who greeted me at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Immaculate, updated room with very comfortable beds. Will stay here when we come back next year. Plenty of parking around back if you are towing a trailer.

Prefect for what we needed, a place to stay because the family lake house was full. Everything was clean and functional. The location was convenient to Lake Winnepesauke and Melvin Village. It is a mid-century motel that has been updated. Classic look. Park right outside the room door.

It was quiet and was able to park just outside of my door. I thought the room was clean enough but it was outdated and needed some work. The heating vents were rusty and the bottom of the tub was stained.

After I closed the window and then came back in, the room smelled like smoke.

Rooms were clean and well-stocked. Staff was friendly.

Rooms are small and very outdated. All the floor heaters are rusty and the bathroom was over run with ants. No breakfast and coffee only in morning. It is quiet though.

I paid twice for this room more than it is worth. This is a $70 a night room at most. I paid $328 for two nights. Polite staff but the rooms were nothing special. The bathroom smelled like urine. No bureau or space for clothing. The carpet made my white socks black. I was with my mother and we were very disappointed.

The room was very functional. The rug was extremely clean as were the bathroom and beds. The room was very old so it wasn’t as clean as a new room would be but the effort to keep the room clean (by the staff) was excellent.

Room smell like uncleared bathroom with urine smells. The only up side is the girl at the check in was very helpful and friendly and they have coffee in the morning.

Beds were not comfortable. Room smelled musty. Wasn’t bad for just a night. Needs upgrading badly.

Easy in & out. Clean rooms but… musty smelling. Bathroom was clean as well as bedding. Would stay again if the need came up.

The beds were comfortable. I was amused that the pillows were marked with 'soft' and firm' embroidered in the cases. The highway noise was rather bothersome. Visitors may want to bring a power strip as the room has few outlets.

Very small room and tiny shower. Very unfriendly hosts. No amenities in room like a coffee pot and no breakfast in office. And worst of all it was more expensive than a room in Rockport, Maine.

Great place to stay, checkin was easy and the staff very friendly. Room was ready for us and very clean. The only negative was that the shower was small, about 3x3 feet but that could be because we had the loft. Overall great place to stay.

Owner of property hovered outside our room before check out, waiting to get onto our room. Weird and annoying. Would not come back.

Excellent staff and price reasonable

Just needed a place to stay overnight. Was rather overpriced for what we got but it was prime fall foliage time in New England, so it was the best that we could find. We were supposed to have a double queen room but ended up with one queen bed. I didn't realize it until we had brought all of our stuff inside and was too tired to go tell them about it. The couple who ran the place were very nice and helpful.

Seb at front desk was very accommodating and friendly. It's an older property but upkept well. I particularly liked that the room wasn't freezing when I came in. It has traditional heating, not a giant forced air unit, so you're not so dried out in the morning. There were also extra blankets and pillow in the room, which I liked.

The family that owns it was very thoughtful and friendly. Would be staying there again soon.

It was near many areas for outdoor activities

Basic place to stay and wasn't to far from the wedding we attended. The place needs updating but it was clean.

Its a typical motel. Nothing luxurious but stayed here when attending a concert at the Bank of NH pavillion. Worked fine for a one night stay.

Detail to decor was Fabulous!! Breakfast menu was not your usual-scones, etc-delicious
