Amazing little hotel. The room was spacious, breezy and super clean. The hotel has a lot of character, it’s a real gem, staff very nice and their courtyard is so peaceful, picturesque and just makes you happy. Absolutely lovely !

Hotel Convento Tarifa was a great place to stay. We enjoyed the patio in the evening and breakfast the next morning. Staff was amazing and helpful!

Hotel location is excellent with just a short walk to the old city gate. Service was also excellent with a really friendly and engaging receptionist. Parking was off site but easy to access. Room was good size with all expected amenities.

Very unassuming from the outside, but with a spectacular interior. A wonderful lady at the reception. Conveniently located if you want to explore the old town and/or catch the ferry for a day trip to Morocco. For a fee, the hotel offers parking in an underground car park about 150 meters away - the only space available was too narrow for my midsize SUV, but there is an excellent public parking garage with valet service also just 150 meters away, and even slightly cheaper than what you would pay at the hotel.

We had a great room. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was excellent and gave us great recommendations. The location is very convenient. Parking was a little difficult, but we were able to find free parking nearby.

The property is convenient to the gate of the Old Town and the great walks, shops, and foods the area has to offer. It is great that they have some parking in a garage (limited availability). The rooms are nice. But given it is an older building converted to a hotel, the number of electrical outlets is limited (fine if you are unplugging from the grid and relaxing). The staff were great, especially Lola, who is a treasure of information and a genuinely wonderful person. Because this was a substitute when Expedia had to get us another hotel when the one we had booked and was confirmed wasn't open, there were some limitstions (note: avoid the Posada La Sacristía in Tarifa, they decided to close for the winter without informing Expedia or us of the fact). We did not get breakfast (it was included in our original booking); there is no coffee/tea in the room (nor is the cafe open late). However, if we visit Tarifa again, we would definitely return to the Convento.

I really did not sleep or enjoyed this hotel. It was in a good area and it is unique but the room was awful. I had ants crawling over me at night and the room was so humid that the sheets felt wet. There was noise from some event and early morning people coming from back door which was literally next to our patio area. Overall don’t recommend especially 112 and the room next to it. There was also no water or dripping when we came in the afternoon. Terrible.

Our stay at Hotel Convento in Terifa was made memorable by the wonderful way Lola greeted and treated us. She was so helpful and exuberant!!! The hotel is 1/2 a block from the entrance to the old, walled town, where shopping and dining is plentiful It is also just a 10 minute walk to the ferry to Tangiers. The room, while generous, did not include kleenex/tissue in either the bathroom or the bedroom. And it would have been nice if one or more of the English channels on the TV actually worked, instead of just teasing us.

Great hotel to enjoy Tarifa. Very good location, super clean and staff friendly. I would prefer a more firm mattress. Shower was great, A/C in the room is excellent too. But for me the outstanding was the breakfast, great selection and everything fresh.

First, I booked the wrong day, and the rate was nonrefundable. I sent them a message, and they switched the day of arrival. They could have stuck me an didn't. Classy! The room was great, nice courtyard behind. Front desk person gave me a map and told me where to go. The hotel is close to the old section of town. I even walked from the ferry to the hotel. Nice little coffee shop in the back.

OMG - If you are heading to Tarifa, this is place is definitely worth serious consideration. Beautiful room, an oversized tub with massage jets. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Everything is a short walk away including the ferry to Tangier Ville.

Ein im Inneren sehr schönes gestaltetes Stadthotel, nahe dem historischen Zentrum und am Hafen. Wir wurden sehr persönlich empfangen und betreut. Man darf sich nicht von der offiziellen Hotelkategorie beeinflussen lassen. Das Hotel hat Flair und alles was man erwarten kann.

I would highly recommend Hotel Convento Tarifa. It was recommend to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt very welcome. Lulu was so nice and helpful with recommending places to see and where to eat depending on our likes. The room was very clean and comfy. Very close to the ferry to Morocco and the beach.
I would highly recommend Hotel Convento Tarifa. It was recommend to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt very welcome. Ein im Inneren sehr schönes gestaltetes Stadthotel, nahe dem historischen Zentrum und am Hafen. Wir wurden sehr persönlich empfangen und betreut. Man darf sich nicht von der offiziellen Hotelkategorie beeinflussen lassen. Das Hotel hat Flair und alles was man erwarten kann.

The property is convenient to the gate of the Old Town and the great walks, shops, and foods the area has to offer. It is great that they have some parking in a garage (limited availability). The rooms are nice. But given it is an older building converted to a hotel, the number of electrical outlets is limited (fine if you are unplugging from the grid and relaxing). The staff were great, especially Lola, who is a treasure of information and a genuinely wonderful person. Because this was a substitute when Expedia had to get us another hotel when the one we had booked and was confirmed wasn't open, there were some limitstions (note: avoid the Posada La Sacristía in Tarifa, they decided to close for the winter without informing Expedia or us of the fact). We did not get breakfast (it was included in our original booking); there is no coffee/tea in the room (nor is the cafe open late). However, if we visit Tarifa again, we would definitely return to the Convento.

We liked how helpful the staff was, the location near the old town was great and it was close to some shopping. We did not like that no coffee was in the room. Breakfast and coffee were available for a cost.

Great hotel to enjoy Tarifa. Very good location, super clean and staff friendly. I would prefer a more firm mattress. Shower was great, A/C in the room is excellent too. But for me the outstanding was the breakfast, great selection and everything fresh.

Had a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Fabulous breakfast in the hotel restaurant and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. One even drove with me to get me settled in the parking lot associated with the hotel. I probably wouldn’t have found it otherwise even though it is only a few minutes walk away. A simple but good hotel in an ideal location right next to the Old Town and a short walk from the Port. We had a perfectly good room with a lovely bathroom and good shower. The TV didn't work but that didn't matter as we weren't there to watch TV. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the onsite cafe offered really good breakfast options at decent prices. A great hotel if visiting Tarifa - would definitely return.
