L’établissement a besoin beaucoup d’amour. La moitié des spas sont non fonctionnel et le matelas très inconfortable. Il a presque pas de stationnement disponible. J’ai été déçu de la visite.

Staff are friendly. If you want to eat lunch or dinner you need to go out. Some hot tubs (at least 3 or 4) were not working. In the interior pool there was humidity in one of the walls.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Watel et à Ste-Agathe des monts! Très joli autour du lac, l’hotel Watel avait une superbe vue sur le lac, piscines chaudes intérieurs et extérieurs et plein de bains tourbillons pour être seuls! Bien aimé aussi les petits déjeuner à la chambre! Merci!

The potential here is amazing (location) to create an outstanding boutique hotel, but the property is clearly struggling with operations and operational costs. An unexperienced kid (like 15) served us but we overheard that was because they were short staffed. Only 3 outdoor jacuzzis were operational and all were occupied so we didn't get the use them. The amenities are either far past their prime or broken and there were many items out of place in the common areas - like a random filing cabinet by the already-oddly-located indoor jacuzzi, their document storage armoire in the little sitting room, random furniture in open spaces. Nothing bad, just...odd. Some TLC and a handyman would do wonders in this place!

Le spa n'était pas déglacé. J'ai vu deux personnes tombés donc un membre du personnel. C'était dangereux. Les places de parkings sont limités. Il n'y en a pas assez pour le nombre de réservation. Globalement, je n'y retournerai pas.

À notre arrivé nous avons été accueilli par Madame Brigitte, très gentille et souriante, elle a pris le temps de nous expliquer le fonctionnement de l'établissement et elle est venu nous montrer notre chambre. Nous avions une suite signature au premier étage. La chambre était extrêmement propre ainsi que la salle de bain. La chambre était d'une grandeur parfaite avec toutes les commodités; micro onde et réfrigérateur. Étant donné la basse saison, les spas extérieurs n'étaient pas tous ouverts mais on a jamais eu de problème à en avoir un. La piscine est d'une belle grandeur et chauffée à la bonne température pour nager. Il n'y a pas de restaurant sur place n'y proche de l’hôtel, il faut prendre l'auto ou tout simplement utiliser la livraison. Il y a beaucoup de restaurants à environs 10 minutes en auto. Nous avons aimé l'endroit, nous allons surement y retourner en été pour voir la beauté du lac.

Rooms require renovation. Bathroom tiles are all loose on the floor and almost no grout. The toilet bowl water is leaking terribly. Unnecessary super-large whirlpool tubs make for a packed room in the bathroom. Lighting is poor in room. The bulbs are old fluorescent and should be LED. No restaurant on the property, no bar on the property. No place close to eat or drink. you must drive a minimum of 1.2 km to an establishment. Roads are not safe to walk along. The sauna had severe black mold. The staff was extremely polite and accommodating. If you bring a trailer of snowmobiles here beware! Make sure you are on the property backed up to a wall. Thefts are high here they indicate.

Check in was easy, quick and the view from the place was nice. Bed sheets had stains and the Auberge was run down. For the price, I would not book this hotel again. 2 star hotel at best.

Room had weird layout, was old and needed some serious renovations. We were a bit underwhelmed upon our arrival since we had paid for a suite, so we asked for a new room… In this new room, there was such a strong smell (humidity or something) and the noise from neighbours kept us up all night. On our final day, we asked to switch room again so we could sleep. But this new room was filled with lady bugs. I know it’s the season, but how could they get in the room with sealed windows… I tried to find where they came from and emptied out a box of tissue just trying to get as many as I could. They kept coming so we finally gave up and decided to leave. The staff was very comprehensive and agreed to a refund (thanks). Oh and the beach was closed… It was supposed to be open though, so that’s that.

Really wonderful staff. Lovely, spacious room with spectacular view overlooking the lake. Extremely clean, average decor- nothing fancy -but cozy and with all the perks like spa tub, gas fireplace, mini fridge, microwave, large TV with Netflix included, safe, Keurig, meditation speakers beside the bed and more. Good soaps/shampoos and ample amount of towels. I paid more than was advertised, but they upgraded me to the deluxe room and it was worth it. Overall very much recommend.

Quite a bit dated, but hot tubs are nice and staff were excellent. Room was VERY warm although the thermostat showed 16? AC wouldn't turn on (we found out later a switch had to be turned on). Perhaps add some explanations in the binder provided. Neurobeds were awesome!! We'd come back.

Staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean with amazing NeroSpa beds! For this price range it did not meet our expectations ( parking was sparse, rooms were not sound-proof and were lacking some TLC ( tender loving care).

L'hotel est bien et était très propre mais par rapport aux photos qui semblaient indiquer un hotel complétement rénové, la réalité est un peu différente. L'hotel fait un vieillot dans la section ou nous étions avec du placo platre sur les murs de notre chambre et l'isolation du bruit par trop bonne qui caractéritique de l'époque de l'immeuble. Bref, pas mauvais mais pas excellent non plus.

Vraiment un coup de peinture ferait grandement du bien (vert menthe et pêche comme couleur) Que dire de la salle de bain (bain tourbillon des années 80) Positif: la propreté des lieux et les employés sympathiques des notre arrivée.

Nous avons aimé l'endroit, nous allons surement y retourner en été pour voir la beauté du lac.

À notre arrivé nous avons été accueilli par Madame Brigitte, très gentille et souriante, elle a pris le temps de nous expliquer le fonctionnement de l'établissement et elle est venu nous montrer notre chambre. Nous avions une suite signature au premier étage. La chambre était extrêmement propre ainsi que la salle de bain. La chambre était d'une grandeur parfaite avec toutes les commodités; micro onde et réfrigérateur. As an American traveling for a night into this part of Canada we were treated terrible for not knowing French. Went to check in and they “couldn’t find our reservation” had papers printed for every reservation and skipped over ours multiple times until mysteriously it was found. After checking in we wanted to check out the beach area across the street and they had given us keycards but we could not find any entrance that used them and they did not explain how to get into it at all. As we turned our keys in the next day we were laughed at for not speaking French by the reception. Other than the people interaction being terrible the room was nice and no issues with the place itself just do not recommend going there as an American especially if you do not speak French.

What I didn't like was the fact we had to wait a long time for the receptionist and also there was not a restaurent in the hotel or a real bar. The bath room is too small as well. Other thing were ok.

Personnel très gentil et aidant. Il faut prendre l’auto pour aller au resto (environ 7 minutes). Par contre, c’est facile de commander des repas. La plage Major , pas trop aimée. Trop de monde les week-ends et aire de natation trop restreinte.

We absolutely loved this property! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in giving advice about activities in the surrounding area. Our room had a fantastic view of the frozen lake, even on the first floor. There were plenty of hot tubs and spa facilities. We unfortunately weren’t able to use the sauna or steam room but they looked very clean and maintained. The only thing we were disappointed by was that the continental breakfast is only available on the weekends and we visited during the week. But that just gave us an opportunity to check out more of the little shops around town! I would absolutely stay here again and would suggest it to anyone planning to stay near Montreal. Great access to snowmobiling, snow tubing, and a great drive through safari park.

Honnêtement un peu déçu, car on est venu en voyage en couple, on a vu les photos mais ça ne représente pas la réalité, une petite piscine mais fait quand même la job, ( faut pas être plus que 4 personnes sinon ça devient trop gênant), notre chambre était vielle, pas très bien rénovée, le déjeuner 25$ extra mais peu de chose, les peignoirs faut les louer 10$. Quasiment rien b est inclus. Pour le prix qu'on a payé, nous ne reviendrons pas.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Watel et à Ste-Agathe des monts! Très joli autour du lac, l’hotel Watel avait une superbe vue sur le lac, piscines chaudes intérieurs et extérieurs et plein de bains tourbillons pour être seuls! Bien aimé aussi les petits déjeuner à la chambre! Merci!

Nice and quiet but expected a lot more for the money we paid. Breakfast was by far not ok, and was not provided in one of the mornings. The staircase and entrance towards elevator was not cleaned and vacuum for weeks. The presentation and pictures you see on the internet do not reflect exactly what it is once you get there. If it would have been presented as a 3 star hotel, then probably would have been satisfactory, but it was presented as a 4 stars hotel, which is not.

We were called in the late morning by the hotel staff letting us know it's better for us to check-in around 2pm rather than the 4pm time we gave them as we were cycling. We did not book breakfast when we initially booked the room but we requested breakfast for an extra cost which was confirmed. The following morning by 8:30am there was no breakfast and the lady told us that we did not request 2 breakfast baskets. Our friend who also checked in with us heard the conversation of us requesting breakfast. The room was limited to only 1 pillow each, not 2 and only 1 bath towel each. It was dated. We had been spoiled at the last Auberge we stayed in at La Conception. We will not be staying at the hotel spa Watel in the future.
