Easy parking. Convenient. Quiet. Clean and warm.

Decent property for a good price. Room was small, but we had everything we needed. No pool available. Generally quiet, except in the morning when a paving crew was using multiple leaf blowers to clear the dirt before sealing the asphalt.

Use actual keys, not key cards and first key did not work. Had issues with water hot and cold were very touchy. Room was nice but need to work a bit on area outside room, a lot of cigarette buts and such, not a big deal but also kind of (no smoking within 20 feet of building?) Area is a little sketchy, small tent city just off parking lot but had fantabulous dinner at a food truck so ended the day well.

Affordable hotel conveniently located near downtown Bend. The room was very spacious, comfortable, & had a full size refrigerator. Check-in & check-out were simple. Free parking & free wifi are nice benefits. I would stay here again.

Clean Motel within walking distance of Downtown Bend bars and restaurants. I’m self employed, so I appreciate a budget motel that is quiet & clean w/security-protected parking lot.

Super nice night manager, I had to work late and got there as soon as I could but she stayed up so I could do a late check in. I was so cold and tired and couldn't get the door open with the given key, but she came over and helped me. We were able to park our truck and trailer, which I wasn't expecting. Perfectly fine hotel for a quick overnight stay.

Motel West is not a luxury stay. But we had a very comfortable bed, a great shower, a fridge and microwave in the room, friendly hosts, and a clean and quiet room. Its a 5 minute drive to lots of nice downtown restaurants and shopping. Its $100 cheaper than the other choices. Old school remodeled without a fancy lobby or pool etc, and at the moment, the neighborhood is not good for walking. But we felt safe in the motel. Very pleased with our choice and would stay here again.

I debated on the number of stars I would leave as a review the entire time I was staying at motel west. At first glance, you open the door to a room that is bleak although smelled clean. Little did i know.. Right away, I noticed the bathroom floor was filthy all around the tub. The corners of the bathroom was actually gross. The bathtub wasnt draining properly either, standing in the standing shower water was really gross. The sheets on the bed were stained, but smelled like washed bleach. The television was simply a remote control with local channels, sorta.. The picture was so grainy you couldn't see your show, although it was just mainly news or p.B.S. The 2nd day, the remote control actually stopped working, and the TV gave me a notification that it was 324 days overdue from updating. So I couldn't watch any more t.v. There was one outlet on the bedside lamp to plug anything into. There was no other lighting besides one bedside lamp and a ceiling light. I stayed in it king size room and There was no lamp for the other side of the bed or plugs to charge anything. The amenities and the layout of the room were actually really poor. They have a standard key still for the door which was a little unsettling, And you're responsible for the single copy, they have. There was no two keys allowed to us at all. I did find the hotel owners very polite and nice. And their vending machine out front doesn't work for water at a $1.50 bottle. Don't worry.They sell water for $2.00 each.

This motel has all the 2-star necessities including musty smoking smell, dirty moist carpet and actual hard keys plus triple-bite marks if you can believe it. The carpet is so filthy that we were leaving black footprints in the bathroom. Yuck. It was very expensive for the experience we received. You should stay somewhere cheaper or somewhere better, but don't stay here.

Everything about the property was great! It was comfortable, clean, and the bed and bedding were super comfy!! The covers were very appropriate for summer instead of being stuck with only a 2" thick comforter when it's hot outside!! We loved it!

Sheets weren't the cleanest. Room smelled like cigarette smoke covered up by air freshener. A/C didn't get very cold. Nice staff. Quiet neighborhood.

Nice that it's half a block away from 3rd. Much quieter. Wish it had daily housekeeping. TV reception is below other hotels in the area. Only 480 dpi at the most. For the price though, it's a good choice. Love the old style full force shower.

It's a motel, room was ok. Shower and bathroom was small but at least great water pressure in the shower. I wouldn't take my gf here as she wouldn't care for it. It's ok for sleeping. Area wasn't bad and I did Uber late at night with no problems.

They have renovated the property nicely. Only suggestion is they need better TVs. The picture was quite grainy.

Room was clean, bathroom fresh and seemingly newly remolded. Pillows were flat.

Look for something that didn’t cost an arm and a leg in Bend OR. Motel West fit the bill. Place is older, but clean had the basic needed for a single night. Couple of my negatives, I could read my hand written receipt to verify the rate was the same as the booking rate. My room was tucked in the corner, and I could not get the Wi-Fi to connect. They had two options for Wi-Fi. One password didn’t work and second just never connected. Overall 3 out of 5

The folks at the front desk were pleasant, parking was easy, and the room was very nice. The best mini fridge I've had anywhere! It was quiet, had TWO chairs and TWO bedside tables for our single queen! The decorations were very thoughtful and I really appreciate that the bed and bath linens were not drenched in perfumy stuff. Thank you!

I had a problem with the main house keeper. The owner of the Hotel told me.to talk with her about solving an isssue I had with my room. The cleaning lady td me this " I'm busy, go away" Now if she would have helped me the next day when i tried to ask again for help bit she just looked at me. Didnt say a word, walked off. Like I was invisible

Very friendly check in. Housing keeping lady was very nice. She went out of her way to get my extra towels and toilet when I ran out

Was triple charged for my room. Was an issue with hotels.com’s payment so they took my card info in order to get a room. They said they wouldn’t charge it if they figured it out with hotels.com. With that they charged it twice that night “but they were just pending and would go away once figured out with hotels.com”. I get it, business needs to protect themselves. Checked in with them the following day and it all cleared with hotels.com but the two pending transaction went through anyway and they won’t rectify it.

Stay. Away. My friend went to check in for us and was given a room with someone already in it. The front desk was clueless. We contacted them and they didn’t even apologize but just gave us another key to another room. I don’t want to stay in a place where someone could just walk in at 11pm with an extra key and rob, shoot, or kill me. There’s also a homeless encampment nearby. Very very very shady. On top of that, reverse it. With how things are, what if we had checked in at 11pm, walked into the room with a key we were provided with by the front desk and a family of 4 was staying there and one of the parents pulled out a gun and shot us dead out of self-defense. We contacted the hotel for a refund and they declined. So just be aware. An Airbnb may be a little more expensive it’s safer than this place. HOTEL MANAGEMENT YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS. CONTACT YOUR FRONT DESK WORKERS. THIS IS NOT OK AND DANGEROUS.

Both front desk people we spoke with were very polite, kind, friendly and helpful. Room we had was clean and comfortable. Had a fridge and microwave. Price was reasonable for a motel of this type.

The front desk had issues with the charge from hotels.com. They took a personal card down so that I could stay there that night and they would sort it out with hotels.com. They reassured me my charges on my card wouldn’t go through (and charged me twice). I confirmed the following day they sorted it out with hotels.com and they still charged my card twice.

Wonderful staff with fantastic customer service. TLC has been put into the property by the owners and it shows :) Comfortable stay overall with convenient dining / retail and recreation options close by.

Fresh, clean room. Internet was spotty all three days which affects tv also. Homeless gather a few blocks away but I never saw them anywhere near the property. Not a lot of food variety within easy walking distance. Decent value for the money but still not sure how they got a 8.4/10 rating which they proudly post. Maybe some internal posts?

The property was fine. The owner lovely and very helpful. Tap room and food trucks a block away and downtown a 15 minute walk. A great stay for getting from a to b in my budget.

Close enough to downtown (but it felt a little dodgy waking there, crossing under train tracks) on a road with a lot of restaurants and a Safeway. Not the most recent, with the walls on the thin side (we could hear the TV in the other room). Nice welcome from the people at the desk. We wanted a place to stay that was a good jumping point and affordable, and that is what we got.

Breakfast wasn’t bad for a continental breakfast. First time I saw an automatic pancake maker.

Lobby couple said looking for new cleaning staff. Lobby staff were friendly and apologetic. Hairs on sheets upon pulling back blanket, pillow had a drool(?) spot on it. Fan in bathroom was really noisy, as well as fan in furnace. Dirty furniture, never got wifi, ad said continental breakfast but none. She came and changed the bed linens. Price was good. I guess you get what you pay for.

Very clean, very comfortable bed, no fuss. We don’t do hotel breakfast, they didn’t have one, so no problem there. Other that that I’d definitely stay again.

Non smoking room smelled very strong of smoke, we were only offered fragrance to remedy the problem, this was extra offensive as we had small children with us. Luckily we had a feiend with a truly smoe free room that traded with us. Free breakfast was advertised, apparently, according to staff, that is the coffee in the room, ha! Outdated and strange decor. However, I felt safe and besides the smoke issue, i found it clean.

On Expedia was information provided about the property with breakfast included. The property is not providing a breakfast. The room was smelling bad.

The only thing was there was no free breakfast like advertised online
