The property had true Kentucky charm. The foyer was picture worthy an all the staff was super friendly. There was an indoor and an outdoor pool. The room was clean but a little musty smelling. The cafe behind the hotel had great service and food.

Very clean property. Not the most up to date but rooms were clean and very comfortable. The entire property was clean and staff was very friendly. Attended Louder Than Life festival and it was an easy drive. On site restaurant was nice as well. Only suggestion is to make outlets more accessible.

Very nice motel. I was impressed, comfortable, clean and well taken care of. Indoor Pool and Hot tub looked real nice, but didn't have time to use. Seemed to give an old time feel when motels were generally nice places and even with vending machine with very reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again.

I read all the reviews and you were all correct. The employees are friendly and efficient. The property is old and aging. Bathroom is cramped but water pressure is good. Mattress was newer (and comfy) but rest of furniture was ancient. Room was clean but the sanitizing scent was overwhelming. On-site restaurant was convenient and food - served up quickly by Janet- was delicious. And finally, the morning road noise might be an issue, depending on your room location. Bottom line: A good value for the reasonable price.

The check in clerk was inattentive during check in, the paint is beginning to peal on the outside of some of the rooms. The shower head was minimal as the bathroom was very small. I did like the pool and especially the hot tub. The proximity to the restaurant was handy

The plugs in the wall wouldn't hold our plugs it would fell out and the toilet seat was broken. We stayed there for 2 days and they never did clean our room. We had to go up to the front and get clean towels. Overall, the place was nice. The workers at the front desk was really nice. Love the restaurant hook to it was really delicious. The indoor pool and the Jacuzzi was great.

Very nice, clean property. Pools were clean, sitting area was so nice. Room was good. My only con, was the room had carpet- no indoor outdoor carpet but the once plushy kind. I prefer a tile floor that can be mopped. Cleanliness. Other than that, would recommend 10/10!

When checking in, they said we only had 1 room, but our confirmation said we had 2. My toilet seat was loose and sometimes wouldn’t flush. Also the gold trim around full length mirror on bathroom door was coming off. In the other room, the sink didn’t drain, carpet was stained.

Everything was great except the television in our room did not work. There was a message on the screen that read. No registered guest.” When we called about it we were told they have never heard of that. I showed them a photo of the screen when we checked out, and I was told the same thing. The other issue was the water came out SCOLDING hot every time you turned it on, even when in the cold position. It did cool down, but it took a couple of minutes. It was so hot that when I turned the tub water on I waited for it to cool before I stepped inside to shower, and the water that sat in the bottom of the tub was still scolding hot when I stepped inside the tub. Hopefully they fixed this after I reported it, because it could really scold a child. The sink water was the exact same way, Other than these two issues, everything was good. The room and grounds were very clean and the staff members were very nice. I would highly recommend staying here, assuming the water issue and television gets fixed.

The room was quite spacious with a comfortable bed. The shower was strong and hot. The room was kind of dingy and needed updates. The lady behind the desk at check-in was efficient yet unfriendly. I would stay at the inn again due to convenience.

Everything was awesome. The only issue I had was with the maid service. The housekeeper knocked on my room door and as I was hollering to her Do Not Come in she unlocks my door and enters my room uninvited. I was standing there with no clothes on trying to get dressed after taking a shower and she just stares at me for a minute but it felt like 60. I was completely shocked, embarrassed, and a little humiliated too. Why did she just stand there when she seen I was undressed. She should have never entered my room without waiting for a response.

When I first checked in, the front desk lady was extremely pleasant and all was good. However, the TV was not working properly and she basically told me sorry. She did not know how to fix it, wanted to change the batteries when I knew it wasn't the batteries as the TV turned on and off, told me there were no more rooms and no one was available to help me. I ended up calling my husband who helped me fix the issue over the phone. She was very rude and unpleasant when there was an issue.

This hotel is very convenient to Fort Knox. It is quaint and clean. It is a little older, had trouble with the air at first, but then it worked very nicely, the sink had trouble draining. Overall, not a bad stay.

Beware - the dark haired woman at the front desk is absolutely rude. The place only "accepts major credit cards" but they can't comprehend that a mastercard credit/debit card is still capable of being run as credit. While attempting to explain this the woman didn't even bother to look up from what she was doing. We chose this hotel that was WAY out of the way of where we were going based off the reviews about how nice the area/workers are. The area was trashy, and only one of the ladies at the desk was polite. We were left with no room to stay in after driving 3.5 hours on a Friday night at 630 PM - if you can imagine what kind of places had rooms left. Right by the hotel is a sex shop where you can rent a booth..if you get what I am saying - sign says this right out front. Great location to bring the family! Two miles from the hotel is a big nasty coal powered plant.

Nice Hotel not located directly in Louisville. Property could use a few updates but is in otherwise good condition. Room was rather large. Channel selection was lacking but we brought a Roku. WiFi was strong and fairly fast. A pretty nice hotel for the price. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Louisville area. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Indoor pool was nice and so was the hot tub.

The front lady didn’t really understand that hotels.com has a different price (Lower) than what she was going to charge us for our reservation… but others than that the cafe they have for breakfast was a good experience
