It was good a three night stay. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the beach, there are many eating and drinking options on your way to the beach, there's a supermarket right in front of the hotel. There's´ a partnership with a Gym Chain just around the corner. Don't even bother about the pool and the gym inside. 20 mins from Santos Dummond, 30 mins to Tom Jobim´s Airport.

The staff are excellent and were able to assist us in English. They are the primary reason we rated so highly. The location is super convenient and walkable and close to the water, and the staff was super knowledgable of the area and offered to help secure discounts at local places. Additionally, you can borrow beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella from the front desk, which is a great touch. Some of the reasons why they lost a star: - The beds are a bit uncomfortable. We could feel the springs through the mattress. - The plumbing of the hotel was set up in a way that we could hear every toilet flush from our upstairs neighbors at random times. - The sheets had some stains on them after a housecleaning visit, and soaps were not filled when we got there (and were not filled post housecleaning visit). Overall, we had a great stay. I think the staff really made it. I would just say if you don't like firm beds I would probably choose another space!

Echt een aanrader! Super behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel, zonder uitzonderingen hulde aan het hele team! Heerlijk vers ontbijt iedere ochtend, fijne samenwerking met de lokale sportschool (Smart Gym), kamers zijn gedateerd maar wel netjes en schoon. Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug!!

If I could rate this hotel more than five, I would. My room was large and clean. There was AC. I used it but it was loud. The breakfast was great. I stayed 6 nights. It varied slightly but it works for us (scrambled eggs, sliced hotdogs, pastries, lots of fruits, yogurts, a panini machine (which I used) coffees, teas, cereals) The location is fantastic. It's close to the beach. (the hotel let you borrow chairs and umbrella for free) We walked twice to Ipanema (only 1 mile 1/2) Across from the hotel, there is a big supermarket. We bought our waters and snacks. The most important was the staff. They were all great! They are there to help you. The manager, the receptionists, the people at the pool were all very friendly. They made our vacation a hit! Also metro is nearby. We used it one time. We mostly used Uber. The quality/price for this hotel was outstanding.

Fijn verblijf gehad in hotel Riale Villamar. De kamers zijn ietwat gedateerd maar wel van alles voorzien, inclusief bubbelbad. De kamers worden iedere dag prima schoongemaakt inclusief verse handdoeken. Het ontbijt is uitmuntend- en het voltallige persoonlijk is vriendelijk, vrolijk en behulpzaam, niks is teveel. Ze laten je als gast echt thuis voelen in het hotel. Ook de samenwerking met de Smartfit gym, op loopafstand van het hotel, is super! Tevens kun je bij de receptie een strand kit lenen (stoel en parasol). Prijs / kwaliteit van dit hotel is uitstekend! Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug.

The hotel is only two blocks away from Cobacabana Beach and there are many restaurants and drug stores nearby. The area looks safe. The cecepion staff can speak English and are willing to help on booking tours, give info on currency exchanges. The breakfast is excellent. with all you need in the morning, two different kinds of fresh juices, many kinds of good quality fruite, susages, scrambled eggs, milk, coffee, lots of choices of breads and cakes. Clean lady did very good job in cleaning the room everyday. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very decent stay - given the cost and location: Loved the 80s (or 90's) decor - although some might find it too dated! The hotel was always very well cleaned and the rooms very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was a good selection - some variation across the days - and I REALLY appreciated English Breakfast tea being available. The awful lounge music played around the hotel was pretty dreadful though, and the speakers were very distorted and need replacing (a minor complaint!) The staff were friendly and helpful where they possibly could be. The price was pretty good given the high cost of accommodation in Copacabana, and the location was great.

This was a great choice in Rio, very close to Copacabana beach. Our room was really spacious with lots of storage and two separate desks and a really good shower. Breakfast had loads of options and the fruit was particularly tasty

The hotel is only two blocks away from Cobacabana Beach and there are many restaurants and drug stores nearby. The area looks safe. The cecepion staff can speak English and are willing to help on booking tours, give info on currency exchanges. The breakfast is excellent. with all you need in the morning, two different kinds of fresh juices, many kinds of good quality fruite, susages, scrambled eggs, milk, coffee, lots of choices of breads and cakes. Clean lady did very good job in cleaning the room everyday. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very decent stay - given the cost and location: Loved the 80s (or 90's) decor - although some might find it too dated! The hotel was always very well cleaned and the rooms very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was a good selection - some variation across the days - and I REALLY appreciated English Breakfast tea being available. The awful lounge music played around the hotel was pretty dreadful though, and the speakers were very distorted and need replacing (a minor complaint!) The staff were friendly and helpful where they possibly could be. The price was pretty good given the high cost of accommodation in Copacabana, and the location was great.

Fijn verblijf gehad in hotel Riale Villamar. De kamers zijn ietwat gedateerd maar wel van alles voorzien, inclusief bubbelbad. De kamers worden iedere dag prima schoongemaakt inclusief verse handdoeken. Het ontbijt is uitmuntend- en het voltallige persoonlijk is vriendelijk, vrolijk en behulpzaam, niks is teveel. Ze laten je als gast echt thuis voelen in het hotel. Ook de samenwerking met de Smartfit gym, op loopafstand van het hotel, is super! Tevens kun je bij de receptie een strand kit lenen (stoel en parasol). Prijs / kwaliteit van dit hotel is uitstekend! Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug.

Accueil très lent et laborieux , pas chaleureux du tout . Nous avions demandé une chambre luxe avec vue sur ville ou site d’intérêt , et avons eu une vue sur cour arrière sinistre des immeubles. This property is a great value for the money but would not classify it as a 4 star property. The location is hard to beat for this price and there are plenty of places to choose from for food including a 24 hour grocery store across the street. And if you get sick like I did, there are 2 pharmacies next door. Overall I'm happy with the experience.

The staff at the hotel were excellent. Everyone, without exception, was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is dated however, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The dining room for breakfast was small and we were asked to specify when we would have breakfast. The breakfast was continental style with a reasonable choice of food. The location is excellent.
