Stopped for the night heading to Quebec City and then again on the homeward trip. Nothing fancy. No pool. No continental breakfast. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Very basic. A place to spend the night. Right on Highway 2. The area in general has very little to offer for dining. We ate at Subway. Don’t ask for a lemonade. It seems to be a foreign concept.

Long Sault as a town has nothing to offer tourists. Even finding a place to eat on Mondays is a challenge. The Lion Motel is small. No breakfast. No pool. A small room with two comfortable double beds. Highway 2 is the original highway before the freeways were built. Think of the movie “Cars” and the old Route66. Enjoy your stay.

L’accueil fut très correct (mais personne à notre départ, juste un mot : déposer la clé sur le comptoir). Mais la chambre est petite, le frigo est antique et ne ferme pas correctement, pas moyen de déposer plus de 4 objets dans la salle de bains; le pommeau de douche tient à peine au mur. La literie est correcte; l’isolation acoustique est mauvaise (nous connaissions les choix de programmes des voisins) Pas de petit déjeuner (c’était clairement annoncé) mais cela entraîne comme conséquence qu’il n’y a pas d’infrastructure autre que les chambres et une réception lilliputienne. Bref les photos sont à des kilomètres de la réalité. À rénover de fond en comble. Bon restaurant à 200 mètres.

Built-up dust & tangled dust balls around the bed legs & tissue pieces under the 2 beds. Mold stains in crevices of caulking in bathroom around sink & bath. Very out-dated overall. Poor attempt of trying to cover up wall finish in bathroom. Paint job terrible.

Old wooden door was a fire danger as it got stuck every time you used it. Had to open it by using shoulder and to get owner to show us and he used his knee! One face cloth was dirty as was one of the towels. Could not open the shampoo without scissors. Black mould at back of sink. No fan or exhaust in the bathroom. Should be a shower cap.

We decided to book somewhere close to family for Thanksgiving weekend, and it was an overall great experience! The price was great compared to other places in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room/bathroom was spotlessly clean, shower had great pressure and beds were comfy. It was nice to have coffee for the coffee maker in the room, as well as the mini fridge to keep our food cold. The only tiny thing we would have changed was the size of the pillows, which were about half the size of a regular pillow, but we made do as they were still surprisingly comfortable. We loved the proximity to Long Sault Parkway, Upper Canada Village, hiking, great dining options, and all the lovely small towns in the area! There is even a park/play structure behind the motel (less than 5 minute walk away). We would definitely recommend this place to others!

Old Motel which has not been upgraded at all. So was just okay. Shower and toilet not good. Beds okay. It was quiet and dark, only good thing. Will not stay there again. Thoigjt we would try somewhere different and picked this motel for its locationnut it was a mistake.

Clean and restful stay at Lion Motel! They just upgraded their mattresses and we slept super comfortably! The check in time was flexible too- we were on the road later and called to let them know, and the were reassuring and available for us when we arrived. Easy check in and check out!

This motel is fine for overnight. The rooms are small but clean. There is only one chair to sit in. However, we could walk to a nearby pub for dinner and music and Tim Horton's is also only a walk away.

The Motel is located across from the St.Lawrence River & we enjoyed a nice view. This is an older building with older style furniture, but is reasonably well maintained. We were able to find a good meal at a family restaurant nearby.

The room was very comfortable and had everything that you needed. To be honest it was better than I expected and was very clean. The setting was very nice and very convenient for travelling between Montreal and Toronto. There were two places to eat a few minutes walk away, but the one I went to did close rather early.

Our room was of a convenient size, everything was clean, mattress was firm. It was quiet, well located between Cornwall and Upper Canada Village. We had a good stay!

Long Sault as a town has nothing to offer tourists. Even finding a place to eat on Mondays is a challenge. The Lion Motel is small. No breakfast. No pool. A small room with two comfortable double beds. Highway 2 is the original highway before the freeways were built. Think of the movie “Cars” and the old Route66. Enjoy your stay.

Stopped for the night heading to Quebec City and then again on the homeward trip. Nothing fancy. No pool. No continental breakfast. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Very basic. A place to spend the night. Right on Highway 2. The area in general has very little to offer for dining. We ate at Subway. Don’t ask for a lemonade. It seems to be a foreign concept.

The room was very comfortable and had everything that you needed. To be honest it was better than I expected and was very clean. The setting was very nice and very convenient for travelling between Montreal and Toronto. There were two places to eat a few minutes walk away, but the one I went to did close rather early.

This motel is fine for overnight. The rooms are small but clean. There is only one chair to sit in. However, we could walk to a nearby pub for dinner and music and Tim Horton's is also only a walk away.

L’accueil fut très correct (mais personne à notre départ, juste un mot : déposer la clé sur le comptoir). Mais la chambre est petite, le frigo est antique et ne ferme pas correctement, pas moyen de déposer plus de 4 objets dans la salle de bains; le pommeau de douche tient à peine au mur. La literie est correcte; l’isolation acoustique est mauvaise (nous connaissions les choix de programmes des voisins) Pas de petit déjeuner (c’était clairement annoncé) mais cela entraîne comme conséquence qu’il n’y a pas d’infrastructure autre que les chambres et une réception lilliputienne. Bref les photos sont à des kilomètres de la réalité. À rénover de fond en comble. Bon restaurant à 200 mètres.

Une halte entre Ganacoque et Montréal. Hôtel facile à trouver. Peu de commerces à proximité. Il faut se rendre à Cornwall à un vingtaine de kmpour trouver de nombreux restaurants. Motel vieillot qui demande à être mieux entretenu. Literie confortable. Environnement assez paisible. Un peu cher pour l'état général du Motel.

Enjoyed the deck with great views of St. Lawrence River. Can easily access the Waterfront walking/cycling path from motel. Wonderful breakfast/brunch restaurant across the road by the river.
