The pictures do not do it justice. There is a large beautiful hot pool, and 4-5 other large to medium ones with gorgeous plants and trees and wildlife. There is a restaurant bar with the tubs too! There is a working farm and you can milk cows in the morning if you want. The food is good especially breakfast, the reception arrival was one of best I have had with a welcome drink. The room was big and perfect. It was great.

Fantastic hotel with hot springs on site. The room was spacious and well appointed with everything we needed including bug repellent. Super comfortable bed! We got massages at the spa which were also very good. Would definitely stay here again!

Property is very nice with friendly staff. Clean and private. Really enjoyed the onsite farm, with so many animals roaming around. Loved milking the cow and collecting eggs from the chicken coop. Also loved the hot springs onsite. Only complaint is there is only 1 small swimming pool.

We stayed there Dec 2023 and the hot springs are nice though there was no notice that it's not filled up during morning. The regular pool seems forgotten. The rooms are nice, clean but on a smaller compared to the other hotels that we stayed in La Fortuna. The location isn't as close to the town. You have to get a cab or other transport to be able to go to places. The meals/breakfast were tasty and has more options.Receptionist was friendly to arrange our tour. TV is kind of frustrating as it wasn't set up properly. We had paid some of the meals (lunch/supper) and one of the meal was charged double when we already paid the waiter that time. Good thing I kept a copy of receipt. Overall it was an ok experience.

Beautiful grounds, helpful staff, enjoyed strolling the farm area. The hot springs pools, while not as lush as those at Tabacon, were actually better for relaxing in, having your own space, grabbing a drink and a bite to eat, etc. Was impressed at how well suited this place is both for a couple's getaway and for a family-friendly stay.

Exceptional service, friendly staff and beautiful grounds full of birds. The view of the volcano was fantastic and the farm was delightful. We enjoyed having the pool to ourselves. The bar and springs were open late which was very convenient.

We arrived and was greeted with a smile and a refreshing drink The lodge was clean and well appointed. The facilities were fantastic , we especially enjoyed the spa / massage we received in the forest , followed by personnel hot spa pool Certainly would recommend

Best place to stay in La fortuna! The staff goes above and beyond for each guest. Their property is so beautiful, peaceful, and allows you to feel more in nature/has a less commercial feeling. Our favorite was the private hot springs, spa, and breakfast! They put out fruit just so you can watch the birds in the morning and have the best homemade hot sauce. Wishing we were back already!

The grounds really are as beautiful as shown in the photos with many birds and currently a sloth in a tree near the Farm. The thermal pools, although completely artificial, are also lovely and another highlight of the property. The Farm is another nice amenity. The regular pool is a small, but that's not what you come to Costa Rica for. The snack bar menu available by the pools is pretty reasonably priced and quality is good. Free breakfast is a plus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are large with high ceilings. Each has an outdoor table and chairs and a view of Arenal from the front door. In the morning you are awakened by the chirping of birds. My only quibble is the interior furnishings are a little mixed. Our chalet had a 20 year old plastic countertop that seemed out of place, but it appears they have been replaced in other units. The use of a lawn chair for the desk was also a little disappointing. Wifi and hot water were solid, although the sink faucet would make loud vibrations / sounds at certain water pressures.

From the time we got there, we felt rifht at home & safe. I was greeted at the front desk, the gentleman already knew my name. We had welcome drinks delivered to us seconds later. The place was amazingly clean. The hot springs are beautiful, we had them to ourselves most of the time. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in the hotel. Rooms were very clean. The hot springs are amazing and very private and there are cabanas you can eat in next to smaller hot springs - we had it to ourself and enjoyed two nights eating dinner from the pool bar . Kids loves swimming and coming out to eat . There is a farm with animals kids enjoyed interacting with beautiful view of the volcano . Breakfast was delicious ! We would love to come again ! Our family of five had amazing time , we stayed for 3 nights

The room was spotless and spacious with a lovely table on the patio. The shower was magical! The animals roaming the property was the cherry on top of the fabulous pools and farm to table food for breakfast. We will be back!

Beautiful accommodations at the Arenal Volcano just outside downtown La Fortuna. The location is perfect. The grounds are incredible. The rooms are very charming. The included breakfast was also a nice touch (limited menu but everything is cooked to order plus fruit, juices, coffee, etc). The staff are astounding and super helpful. There was some mildew in the bathroom and the water pressure is very high, but otherwise the bathroom was very well kept.

This hotel is better than expected. The staff were friendly. The room was very clean. The garden around the cabins was beautiful. There's a farm in the hotel where kids can visit the animals. It's a great value for the money. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place with great thermal water pools. Very nice staff. Great rooms. Very convenient for families with kids and couples. AC at the room is a bit noisy.

We loved our stay at El Silencio! Conveniently located to everything in La Fortuna area. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and included in price. We also enjoyed one dinner on the property which was also good. Hot springs weren’t large like Tabacon but multiple pools in lush setting and only for hotel guests which was lovely. We paid for a day pass to Tabacon hot springs but really didn’t need to. Loved the farm on the property. Very eco-friendly. Great place for couples and families. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Wonderful property that offers amazing amenities. Beautiful rooms all private, quiet bungalows. Cute is an understatement. We loved the sloths, peacocks, pig, goats, horses, organic garden, chickens and soooo much more. There are 3 hot springs. Breakfast is FANTASTIC and by menu. Try the typical - it’s delicious. We would stay here again.

Overall it was a beautiful property, clean and great location to volcano. Unfortunately our AC unit wasn’t working and made a very loud noise all night long so we couldn’t sleep. We were offered $30 for the inconvenience which I did not feel was appropriate for no sleep, no AC with two small children in tow. The manager was “in a meeting” so we weren’t able to resolve any further before we left.

This hotel is a little gem. The staff is so kind, and welcoming! The rooms are spacious and clean. My kids were able to milk a cow, play in multiple hot springs, and enjoy a free breakfast that they loved. The grounds are so well kept, and the views of the volcano are amazing.

When we arrived the air in our room was off; it was relatively late in the day - 6PM local time and it was no less than 90 degrees F in the room. It took through the night for the AC to cool down the room; I don't think it was running optimally and I was very concerned about our 2 year old being overheated. It was very off putting and had the hotel turned it on even somewhat in advance of our stay we would have had a much better initial impression. Otherwise, we did love the farm setting and beautifully landscaped grounds. The room was comfortably sized for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pool was perfect entertainment and proximity to Fortuna excellent. Breakfast not great but nice to have on site. We would recommend this hotel but with the caveats stated in this review.

We loved our stay. The room was magical, the vaulted ceilings and open layout was amazing. Walking up to the sound of rain on the rooftop was a highlight of the trip. Since it has limited number of villas, the 5 hot spring pools were almost always available to have to ourselves. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was behind a locked gate. Very well located and near everything. We even enjoyed the farm and the huge variety of birds and animals on the property.

One of the best places we have ever stayed! The staff was so friendly and helpful with every question and need. The property was absolutely gorgeous - we took advantage of the hot springs daily! The food was amazing and the massage was the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely stay here again and again, and am recommending to all of our friends and family!

From the time we got there, we felt rifht at home & safe. I was greeted at the front desk, the gentleman already knew my name. We had welcome drinks delivered to us seconds later. The place was amazingly clean. The hot springs are beautiful, we had them to ourselves most of the time. Highly recommend!

Melhor do hotel são as termas. Atendimento da recepção deixa a desejar. Tentamos pedir refeição no quarto, o recepcionista não nos ajudou, não forneceu cardapio. Avisamos que o telefone do nosso quarto não estava funcionando e mesmo assim não tivemos ajuda para pedir comida no quarto. Café da manhã ruim - precisa melhorar muito.

The staff are incredible! They were so nice and went over and above to make sure we had a wonderful vacation. The food was excellent as was the bar service by the hot springs. Thank you to everyone whi helped my husband when he fell there and got him to a clinic for stiches so quickly and stayed with him and brought him back to me, you all are the best!

Hotel El Silencio is wonderful! I have stayed here 2x when visiting Costa Rica. The staff is so nice and accommodating. The property is so serene and the animals at their farm are so much fun to check out. I recommend getting up early to go help with the farm animals, it's a fun experience. The food was delicious. The hot springs, pools and thermal spas are scattered throughout the property. This place offers a beautiful setting to disconnect and take in the surrounding nature. With amazing views of Arenal Volcano, it's a must stay.

Everything was perfect. Location, amenities, food, environment, staff. Cannot say enough good things about our stay. We had our honeymoon here and loved every moment. Elio and the staff ensured we had everything we needed. Would love to stay again.

I absolutely adore El Silencio. The staff is top notch. From cappucino artistry at breakfast, to attentive housekeeping and front desk service, to the wonderful staff maintaining the farm and garden. Very centrally located for tour pickup and local attractions and restaurants. My son and I had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return. Will recommend to all my friends who go to Costa Rica!

The property was wonderful. The front desk gave everyone a welcome drink and tote bags on arrival but we didn’t get those. The animal area and garden were very impressive. The food was excellent. I would love to come back.

We stayed in La Fortuna & at this property for 4 nights. We truly loved every minute of it. You have like your own little house with your own private front porch. We overlooked the volcano which was super cool. The grounds were beautiful. Lots of green, flowers and colorful birds. We also saw a sloth on the property. We loved having the hot spring pools all to ourselves! The regular pool was nice too, all in a very natural tropical setting. The free breakfast, food and drinks, & service overall was excellent. They also have a little farm and garden on the property where they invite the guests to partake in the farm to table experience. The spa experience was phenomenal … the best ambiance ever! It’s close to the downtown area of La Fortuna, as well. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Perfect for a relaxing stay, with all your comforts met, with the beautiful backdrop of the Arenal volcano. The hot springs were amazing and set in a luscious tropical setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. We did several day trips and enjoyed everything very much.

The hotel and grounds were magical. The view was spectacular. The hot springs were incredible. Milking cows in the morning was exciting. The restaurant was organic from the farm on site and the milk we got from the cow is used for the cheese on site. This is a must stay.

We stayed two nights. Location was good for things we did in La Fortuna area. The property was very nice and well maintained. The farm animals were a great addition and fun to visit with. The hot spring pools were fantastic and the main reason we booked here. The restaurant was good, we ate all meals there. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

Molt bé. Teniem la cabana 2 i teniem Unes vistes increibles al volcà arenal. 5 piscinetes termals. Servei de bar per poder menjar alguna cosa o fer un suc. A 2 minuts en cotxe de la Fortuna. Ideal per un parell de nits i visitar la zona.

I liked there were less than 25 individual units. Made it quiet and more personal. Front desk very helpful with your needs. All staff very friendly. Beautiful property and hot springs. Felt well attended to. Was not in town, as this is what I prefer, but close enough to be picked up for tours. Also inexpensive to get a ride into town for dinner if desired.

The hotel is located in the middle distance betwwen the town and the natioal park. The ground and thermal pools are wonderful. Front desk and restaurant staffs are the best.

Beautiful accommodations at the Arenal Volcano just outside downtown La Fortuna. The location is perfect. The grounds are incredible. The rooms are very charming. The included breakfast was also a nice touch (limited menu but everything is cooked to order plus fruit, juices, coffee, etc). The staff are astounding and super helpful. There was some mildew in the bathroom and the water pressure is very high, but otherwise the bathroom was very well kept.

We really enjoyed the grounds and hot springs. Everything was very walkable and the farm was a nice treat. Breakfast was OK but or dinner was very good.

We had an amazing experience! The facilities were very well-maintained, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly, attentive, and kind, always making sure everything was taken care of. It’s a peaceful place with quality, farm-to-table food every single day. Highly recommend! Every adventure/activity includes pickup to the hotel, which is a great plus.

At first I was a little worried given there is 1 restaurant on property and my family are picky eaters and used to options… but they have plenty of options in this 1 restaurant and the food is terrific!

Sensacional!! O Hotel é lindo, staff excelente, meu filho amou a fazendinha e brincou muito. Espaço mto familiar. Ter as famosas hot springs no hotel fazem toda a diferença, é muito conforto! Amei !!! Super indico.

Great hot springs. We mostly had them to ourselves a lot. The whole property is like a hotel being dropped into the middle of a farm with chickens, donkeys, cows, etc around. They also have a great garden area. The food was disappointing for all the hype but the rooms are great and property well kept.

Wonderful property that offers amazing amenities. Beautiful rooms all private, quiet bungalows. Cute is an understatement. We loved the sloths, peacocks, pig, goats, horses, organic garden, chickens and soooo much more. There are 3 hot springs. Breakfast is FANTASTIC and by menu. Try the typical - it’s delicious. We would stay here again.

What a wonderful experience! The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The water features – hot springs and swimming pools – were well designed, clean, and enjoyable. The food was a tad pricey – but actually reasonable to other places that we've visited – and tasty. Animal farm was added another welcome dimension. And the room itself was immaculately clean. If the management is reading this, please do something about the coffee: It's weak and poor quality. This being Costa Rica, we were expecting much better and were getting a better cup elsewhere, including The Village Coffee Shop nearby. All in all, we were exceedingly satisfied with our stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo. Lastly, note that this is NOT the hotel named "El Silencio Lodge & Spa". They are somewhat similar but in different locations.
