This is a cute boutique hotel, with the pool, restaurant, bar all conveniently located just steps from your room! But beware.. if lots of steep steps and no hand rales are not your jam, skip it. There were a lot of them, an un-lit light above them,( I could turn it on once I was up there, but not from the bottom of the stairs!) and no hand rails. Overpacked? Have fun with those suitcases. But here’s the kicker. There are no rales in the (beautifully tiled) (slippery) pool either. I’ve literally never seen a pool without hand rales of some sort. I busted my a$$ getting in.. barely missed hitting my head on the side. The bruises on the rest of me are lovely. Take home: young, fit, adventurous? Great place. Staff are very nice, and property is prettier than the pictures with ice cold AC in the bedrooms. Are you a little older? Paying more attention to safety features these days? Nope.

NIce friendly staff, decent breakfast included, nice, reasonably priced food in the restaurant, pool a bit small but usually enought loungers available. You have to drive or get the bus down to Manuel Antonio National Park as it's too far (over a mile) to walk, but otherwise fairly convenient with free parking. Tours will usually pick up from the hotel. Rooms were OK, bed was comfortable and aircon worked well. We had a standard room (individual building) with a porch at the front with a nice view of the garden, which was a good way to chill out in the evening. Free bottle of wine was only a half bottle, which seems a bit stingy, but I can't complain about anything free. I'd happily stay there again, mainly due to the staff.

The Falls Resort is on a beautiful property with a nice pool area, restaurant and bar. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were a bit dated and being in the rain forest there is a bug issue, but I'm sure that can't be helped and every place would have that issue. There are also a variety of animals on the property; monkeys, lizards, agoutis, etc, which we loved seeing! We did really like it and would definitely stay again.

We booked this hotel because we had been here 3 years ago, and liked it. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated markedly, and now needs very extensive renovation and much better maintenance. Beds are old, hard, and very uncomfortable, furniture is beat up, water pressure and temperature are erratic, and AC can't keep up with heat load. There are hazardous, uneven walkways and stairs without railings. Pool is too shallow to swim. Landscaping has been neglected. The restaurant, which was previously excellent, is now substandard for the area. Repairs are not done professionally...for example, the sink had been repaired without a trap, allowing sewer gas to enter the room. We had to keep water in the sink at all times to prevent noxious odors. I DO want to compliment the STAFF, who were very nice, and did their best to make us comfortable, but this old, run-down hotel is no longer an acceptable value. There are much better options in Manuel Antonio.

The hotel is excellent and very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. The only inconvenience was the parking, which can be a bit tight for large vehicles. Other than that, everything was great — highly recommended!

Room was very humid, the smell hits you the moment you step in. Its a good space and clean. Some of the blinds of the front door were in bad condition, it was hard to close it to get privacy. In general the property is very secluded and beautiful, nature all around and even monkeys show while you are at the open restaurant. The staff very friendly and prompt to help.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We felt like we were literally in the jungle with the lush surroundings. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great happy hour also and breakfast.

The staff was nice and friendly, but the hotel itself is very dated. The unit we had had a bad odor in our room inspite of the air conditioning. The breakfast was average. The resort did not check all the boxes for us. We stayed 2 nights.

This hotel is beautiful. Our room was so clean and smelled so fresh. Maria checked us in and she was very friendly, kind, and happy to help us. Hands down the best hotel I have stayed in while in CR and possibly ever. All the staff were extremely helpful. We saw macaws in the trees while walking around in gardens. Our room was quiet at night and we stayed in the closest room to the bar. We would definitely stay here again.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen 3 Tages Aufenthalt in der Anlage, jedoch gab es einige Punkte, die uns enttäuscht haben. Das Zimmer war leider sehr hellhörig, sodass wir oft Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern und dem Flur gehört haben. Zudem war das Mobiliar alt und heruntergekommen, und an einigen Stellen war es nicht wirklich sauber. Besonders problematisch war der Schimmel im Badezimmer, der nach unserer Beschwerde am ersten Tag lediglich mit Chlor und einem Lappen entfernt wurde – eine gründlichere Reinigung oder Sanierung wäre hier wünschenswert gewesen. Ebenfalls sehr unangenehm war, dass es im Zimmer kein Fenster zum Lüften gab – eine Situation, die wir so noch nie erlebt haben. Auch im Badezimmer fehlte ein Lüfter, was das Raumklima zusätzlich beeinträchtigt hat. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das Essen im Restaurant, das wirklich sehr gut war. Besonders das Frühstück und die Desserts! 😍 Das Personal hingegen wirkte stellenweise etwas unhöflich. Allerdings wurde uns als Entschädigung ein Abendessen geschenkt, was eine sehr nette Geste war. Sollten wir wiederkommen, dann nur mit einem anderen Zimmer.

This was our second time staying at this property. The 1st time we stay in a bungalow in the back and this time we stay in a room with 2 queen beds above the dining area. Our 1st time was fun and beautiful experience. This trip was not as fun, the room we stayed needs updating (room 22). The beds are like sleeping on the floor (really hard), left with sour back. Hotel area is nice but this room is dated, needs better door and furniture. The window near the restroom needs a blind, too much daylight in the morning and the guy fixing electrical can see in. Our first night the power went out at 3am and an emergency light came on inside the room. This was a bright light that was at around 12 feet height. I had to step on a table to reach it to cover with shirts. I went down to lobby area and other guest were there looking for help from staff, but no one was there. I wish they had a help number or an option to turn light off when power goes out. The power going out is out of their control if it was the city but bright light not letting guest sleep is not. The positive are the staff is really friendly, common area looks nice and breakfast is good. I will stay at this hotel if they update the rooms and change the flintstone beds. Is in a good location and lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Tolles Hotel mit wunderschönen tropischem Garten, dazu sehr große, saubere Zimmer. Der Poolbereich ist wirklich atemberaubend und man kann viele Tiere vom Liegestuhl aus beobachten. Uns es hat es richtig gut gefallen und wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Tolles Hotel mit wunderschönen tropischem Garten, dazu sehr große, saubere Zimmer. Der Poolbereich ist wirklich atemberaubend und man kann viele Tiere vom Liegestuhl aus beobachten. Uns es hat es richtig gut gefallen und wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Our waiter Bryant was the best! He was very helpful and gave us great advice. We were a family of 5 and stayed in the apartment. Everything was great and the food was delicious. The pool was refreshing and the location is perfect.

L'hôtel semblait bien, de grandes chambres, bien situé, mais il est tellement mal isolé. On avait l'impression de cohabiter avec nos voisins qui n'exagèraient pas. On connaissait ce qu'il avait fait dans la journée sans meme voir leur visage. Donc, un peu déçue de la qualité de L'hôtel pour le prix payé

We had paid for 2 nights in a standard room. Then our plans cha ged and when we asked Expedia to add another night, the standard room was not available. We then booked the extra night for a three bedroom apartment. This meant that after two days, we would be moving rooms. When we were checking in, we requested if we could stay all three days in the same place, and they honored that without charging extra for the three bedroom apartment. This was such a big treat for us as we are a family of four (our children are adults). I would highly recommend the apartment. It had washer/dryer, a full kitchen, and lots of room. We were traveling for 8 days and the last day, we could do laundry. A minimart was next to the location and that made buying fruits, snacks and laundry detergent so easy. If I could give it 50 stars, I would.

Tropical paradise off a main road. Gardens were beautiful, pool was lovely and refreshing. All areas well kept. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Had one evening meal which was delicious. Room was large with plenty of toiletries. Staff were very friendly.

Loved the property grounds. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. I would ask for a room further from the main building due to noise from restaurant at night. A hot tub on the property would be a nice touch. I would stay here again. The breakfast was a nice touch to start our day.

It is a really great hotel to stay. The staff are super super nice with all the bookings and responds really fast to any questions and requests. The area is perfect next to the sea and near several great restaurants.

Fantastic service. The people that work here are what makes the hotel great. Don’t make our mistake and cheap out on the street facing room, get a garden facing room. The breakfasts here are amazing. Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The only issues we had were a slight sewerage smell in our bathroom occasionally, and the hot water in our shower being very finicky. The rooms facing the gardens are so nice.

Everything about our stay was excellent! The rooms were nice and clean, the grounds were beautiful and well kept, the food at the restaurant was very good, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us arrange tours and transportation, and gave us several good recommendations for places to see and eat. We would definitely stay here again.

We were there with a large group of 10! Leading a tour is a challenge and we always hope a hotel we book will live up to the hype and this one did for the most part! Lovely setting- animals on the property, rooms clean and lovely. We enjoyed the pool and restaurant! The only issues we had were a really bad attitude from a waiter in the restaurant :/ and the issue of repeatedly being asked to pay our check out bills when we’d already done so. There needs to be an improved we tracking system on that please. Other than that we LOVED our stay!

Fantastic customer service started before we even checked in. The front desk woman helped place an order at the restaurant to be ready when we got there because we were arriving later than expected with sleepy kids. We were welcomed with yummy welcome drink which the kids loved and then shown to our room. Our dinner was brought right up which was so nice! Everything was clean and the location was super convenient to everything. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend staying here!

Me sentí engañanda con la foto del hotel, porque en la aplicación de Expidia aparece una playa y palmeras. El hotel no está en la playa sino a dos kilómetros de ella. Fuera de eso, tiene un jardín interior muy bonito con mucha vegetacion.

Hotel is along the main street. While it isn’t flashy from the street view, once inside it feels like a magical jungle paradise and feels safe and secluded. There are plenty of walkable dining/shopping options. If you prefer to avoid driving from the resort to Manuel Antonio park, we were able to walk there in about 35min and avoid the hassle of driving/parking, which is a great perk! Hotel breakfast was included and had a variety of good options. We would definitely stay again!

This property was very well kept and absolutely beautiful!! The front staff was very friendly and accommodating. After check out they allowed us to keep our luggage at the property while we enjoyed a beach day then took a swim and rinsed off before we headed out of town. I would definitely stay here again! The airplane restaurant is walking distance and the national park is 10 minutes away. Very convenient

We enjoyed our stay there. The check in was easy and friendly. The breakfast had many options and was good. On a day we had an early tour we could ask for an early breakfast which was so nice. The patio on the room was great and the gardens beautiful!! The best part was the location of the hotel which was close to the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park. We could hear the howler monkeys in the mornings.

Not as advertised. The pictures and description make you feel like you're in the jungle. Nice and quiet isolated. That's not the case. It's on a busy street with a lot of businesses. A lot of big buses, bustling bars and restaurants with lots of noise. Not at all as advertised or what we expected. Kind of a bummer would not return.

Great location that offered easy access to the beach and local restaurants. Staff was helpful in navigating local activities. Booking activities through the hotel was convenient and well-managed (Manuel Antonio tour, local farm tour, etc.). We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant, which was well-priced and convenient. Nice pool area. One minor concerns with the room -- our room had a full side of windows, and only offered large curtains. This created some security concerns and I wish we had blinds.

This was a lovely and comfortable hotel. The location was close to many restaurants, plus the onsite restaurant had a nice variety of tasty foods. Breakfast was included, and there were plenty choices. (The french toast was our favorite!) The grounds were lovely, including the pool, trees, flowers, and a water feature. The service was also very good.

The Falls was great. The staff were all amazing, friendly, and helpful. Location was close to many restaurants. Breakfast was great at the resort and all other food was wonderful. Happy hour drinks we enjoyed. Daily housekeeping. Pool was relaxing.

Amazing location, good rooms, beatiful territory with wild life. Great and inexpensive cocktails. Would love to give 5* of it wasn't for uneven service. Service level, quality of food in the restaurant varied between excellent and mediocre at best. One night the staff was just missing - no food, no bar... No warning. Also, the constantly changing colors in the otherwise great pool looked cheap. This is a matter of taste, of course.

Our waiter Bryant was the best! He was very helpful and gave us great advice. We were a family of 5 and stayed in the apartment. Everything was great and the food was delicious. The pool was refreshing and the location is perfect.

Breakfast was very delicious and photogenic. The garden and the swimming pool was beautiful. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool everyday during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for family.

Fantastic Stay!We had an incredible experience here. The staff went above and beyond, especially Jose and Amy, who made our stay unforgettable. The room was spotless, and the location was perfect for exploring. We absolutely loved spending time by the stunning infinity pool. Dinner featured fantastic food, and the ceviche was truly amazing. Highly recommend!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was super helpful in booking tours. The restaurant was delicious and affordable. Unfortunately, we had no hot water due to a broken pipe for our two night stay which was a bummer. Still recommend staying here!
