The staff especially the front desk personnel were wonderful and extremely friendly. Barbara is a star employee she actually carried my husband’s 60 lbs bag up the stairs for him as the elevator was not working. Her hospitality made our visit very fun and comfortable. The location was perfect for our visit to Monet’a Garden.

A perfect spot to stop before or after a trip to Monet's Gardens. The room was comfortable - good size for even U.S. properties. It is nicely located with central parking underneath for security,loading and unloading. People are wonderful and very helpful.

Unfortunately Hotel Normandy fails to deliver. The staff are lovely, (though one woman was quite rude to me everyone else was AMAZING and more than made up for her). They are so kind and happy to chat with you, explain everything you need to know, etc. Sadly, this hotel almost feels like it was opened up years ago and the owner was unable to maintain it. Upon entrance a couple and I waited about 15 minutes for the elevator which was not working, my first sign. We finally got it to work and I headed up to my room which was very outdated, and a little bit creepy honestly. There was no air conditioning, which is not unreasonable given that it's Europe, but instead just a small fan, and a bug on my pillow. The hotel restaurant which they advertise as open and serving dinner - I even looked at the menu online, I was told only serves breakfast to the public and I couldn't eat there. This was disappointing as it's a small town so there are not a ton of food options. I ended up checking out a day early because I was unbearably uncomfortable and couldn't sleep in there. When I asked about a refund for the second night they said "no because it doesn't fall in the 48 hour cancellation window" which I didn't love, but again understood. Sadly on Expedia it's been telling me this was non-refundable since December. I know because I tried to cancel. They should organize and streamline their policies. I wish the hotel luck but they need a renovation, improved cleanliness, and services.

Beautiful town of Vernon, with easy tourist trolley from train station to Giverny, incredibly beautiful full of flowers and Monet’s home and water lilly bridge! It was an amazing trip! The hotel was beautiful, walkable medieval town, charming and great location! The room’s floor was dusty, perhaps that room had been cleaned few days prior, otherwise room was ok. Vernon was an incredible town and the hotel was very pretty too. I totally recommend it.

First the room they assigned this to did not have the electricity on and smelled like a a rotten chemical factory. I demanded a different room and it smelled almost as bad. I move the bed together from two twins so I could be next to my wife the carpet was so dirty underneath the beds that I was disgusted. I couldn’t sleep at all. I was allergic to whatever chemicals they used. I don’t recommend this is a good place to go

I am afraid my review is somewhat complicated. I did not care for the size or design of our room. It was small and angular (low ceilings in both our room and hallways. The picture attached to this review looks nothing like our room did). In the future I will pay more attention to room size and configuration. Other than the room, everything was excellent- the dining area served good food, and people at the registration desk were very friendly,

Hotel was a 15 minute walk from the train station. Flat terrain. Quick check in. Very comfortable bed, no air conditioning, but there was a fan. Our room was on first floor and overlooked a parking area which was quite noisy around midnight. No tea and coffee facilities in room. Lovely breakfast and also had a very nice dinner there one night. We felt not a lot of eating choices in the town. Easy one hour walk to Monet's garden across the bridge and along Seine biking/walking path.

This was an overnight stay for our journey from CDG to Bayeux after a long flight. It served its purpose as it provided a good night's rest before we head on to Bayeux. The room was extremely small and had very little counter space for our things, and the bathroom had a sheer curtain over the window (which faces another room) which was an issue for us. But for an overnight stay, it served the purpose. Do not recommend for longer stay.

Really nice and unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised to find it is better than its 3 star rating. Huge room, nice king size bed and weird setup with toilet in a separate space far away, on the other end of the room away from sink and shower, but this seems common in Normandy hotels we have stayed. Also the first hotel we saw here to have an iron and ironing board!

The welcome was good, the evening staff were great, welcoming and fun, the breakfast staff were grumpy. The outside space seating was not particularly comfortable. Overall considering some ‘good’ reviews we were underwhelmed. The signs in the bedrooms regarding pricing of items etc if removed were rather aggressive! All in all sadly rather mixed feelings from us….

Although our room was ready all day, the staff would not let us in until the official time of 4PM. We had arrived after a red eye from abroad but they wouldn't budge. Second, I reserved a handicapped room but my wheelchair wouldn't fit thru bathroom door. It was finally remedied by great staff but.....

Excellent base of operations for exploring Normandy. Clean friendly service. Amazing food! Best steak we ate the entire time in Normandy. Staff speaks some English, some shifts. Tourists who are respectful and learn a few words in French will be fine. Check in and check out are same as English. Just like futbol.
