Beautiful setting right on the bay!! Nice grounds to walk around in, complete with Adirondack chairs and seating on the deck. Our room had a wonderful view! Everything was very clean. The restaurant was excellent!!

It is a beautiful property. The room was really nice except the mattress was too soft and needs to be replaced. I knew that if I slept in the bed my back would be in bad shape the next day. I slept on the trundle bed which was really hard but a better option.

The property is located on a beautiful bay. The room was clean but poorly laid out. Large bathroom had a small pedestal sink - only spot to place cosmetics was on the toilet. We paid for oceanfront and the Ocean front room had a tiny high window - stand on your tiptoes to see the view. The way the bed was placed under a low ceiling you'd bang your head getting up. Would not return.

Staff were friendly & sunset across the water was beautiful. Enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. The bed however needs a refresh - the spring mattress was creaky & saggy and the air conditioner so loud we had to shut it off to sleep. A fan might be a better option?

When I booked it, it was for the restaurant in an isolated area that looked beautiful. They let me know that they were closed for dinner that night after it was too late to cancel and provided dinner recommendations. We got there and checked in at about 6. After getting settled, about 6:30, we called the closest restaurant (20 minutes away) and found out they closed at 7. The others were 40 minutes away, We made it for a rushed dinner (the restaurant was good enough to provide a great dinner and stay late for us). The room was too small and packed with large furniture.

We stayed only for one night but honestly wanted to stay more. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Lodge and would definitely return. The room door had 1cm cap between door and door frame (no privacy). The first feeling entering was that we were disturbing them. First communication was give me your credit card, not showing but taking. In leaving was very unfriendly, no have a good day, how was your stay, please come again….. so we don‘t come again.

We arrived later than expected and the owners ensured the dining room could accommodate us when we arrived. The place was so calm and peaceful, away from everything. It rained a lot through the day and the mist surrounded the coastline and property. It was just lovely. Im sure it would be beautiful and amazing in the sunlight. Rooms were very cozy.

We had never been to the Argyler before. The setting is idyllic in a rustic sense. We stayed in the inn, though they have a small number of cottages on the property. Our room, clean and appointed with all we needed, looked out on the many islands of the Argyle Sound. The inn is close to the Acadia community of Lower West Pubnico, which has what must be one of the largest fishing fleets in Nova Scotia, and superb seafood restaurants. Overall, a great experience. We’ve already booked to come back again next year, and added an extra day so we can explore the local area.

This is a great place to stay right on the water. It's quiet and beautiful. The breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant was closed on the night we stayed but was given a great recommendation to eat at Tusket brewery. Highly recommend staying here.
