Very charming hotel, not state of the art but rather time travelling 50 years back. With some careful renovation it could easily earn 5 stars. Superb location! Good food for dinner with reasonable pricing. Underwhelming breakfast. Restaurant staff could be a bit more empathetic. Overall an authentic and good experience. Do not expect more than 1960‘s accommodation in terms of facilities.

The falls are STUNNING! and made the stay worth it. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful. This property has an inspiring story of its construction - almost 150 years ago. The rooms have obviously been updated since then but some of the construction work seems incomplete. I would make the trip again simply to listen to the falls all night and wake up to the stunning view.

Charmamtes Hotel mit sehr netten Mitarbeitenden. Wir sind mit unserem kleinen Hund gereist und durften den Hund sogar zum Abendessen mitnehmen. Auf dem Menü gibt es auch ein vegetarisches Gericht. Amazing location above Varingsfossen! I had to leave before breakfast soTitas (Stan), an outstanding addition to staff, made me feel at home and additionally procured a hearty breakfast sandwich the night before. As a note if information, there was not a tv in my room (which is perfect by me!)... Fossli is A wonderful!!

The access to Voringsfossen is unmatched. The hotel is literally at the top of the waterfall. We were able to walk around the waterfall after and before the other tourists could get there. You could see down the canyon from our balcony. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the morning breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. No hotel in the area could match the benefits of the Fossli Hotel.

We visited the enchanting Voringfossen waterfall one day then returned 5 days later to stay the night. Bed a bit uncomfortable. Maybe a little outdated, but had lots of character. Would stay again if the opportunity presented itself. Loved the history of the motel. Owner and staff very friendly. Explained the wonderful mural painted on the dining room wall. Food was superb at breakfast. Very elegant. Enjoyed a delicious homemade snack both times at the cafe. Thanks to Rammo-Abby Chiras Subtire for the pastries and the excellent cafe au lait.
