Great staffs, gorgeous and clean room, fantastic breakfast, everything was perfect. There’s no restaurant for dinner but you can deliver or take out some and have it in the bar and they will offer some cutlary and plates.

Dower House Hotel is one of the most welcoming & accomodating hotels. Makes you wish you could stay longer in super comfortable room & lovely surroundings. They don’t have evening meals but this provides opportunity to explore the selection of eateries in the area.

A warm welcome from the owners at the Dower House. What a lovely stay we had. Such a lovely hotel and grounds, with an outdoor pool too. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, with a comfortable bed,. A quiet location but only 2 miles into Lyme Regis. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room is spacious, clean with tasteful decorations. My son especially loves the heated swimming pool. Staff are very helpful and offered to open the pool earlier and offered to late check out so that he can have a swim before we left.

Charming bed and breakfast style hotel only 4 minutes to downtown Lyme Regis by car. The property: My kids LOVED the pool and the huge flat green lawn to run and play on. The building and grounds were clean and comfortable. The room: Our family of five stayed together in one large room at a reasonable price. Food: We got takeout for dinner and a.nd ate it on the back deck. The property has a bar, so we were able to buy a beer and wine to enjoy with dinner and by the pool. Breakfast was in a charming dining room and everything was delicious. Family friendly: They have a cot and bedding for babies/toddlers, as well as a high chair for the dining room. The owners/staff: Super friendly and helpful yet non-obtrusive. If you need anything you just ring a buzzer and they come out to help. I would LOVE to stay here again. It's a gem.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Nice rooms with nice bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. The heated pool was so nice. We drove there and there was plenty of parking. Would like to return some day for a longer stay. Dog friendly.

The owner Neil was friendly and welcoming on our arrival. The bar area has modern funky furniture and plenty of bright colours. We would like to go back. Rosemary was friendly and chatty when we left. Thank you both

Return guests to this friendly hotel in a quiet area five minutes drive from the main town centre. Very comfortable rooms which are all nicely fitted out. We are always made to feel very welcome and our boxer dog even more so. Breakfast is served in a separate dining room or can be taken with your dog in the bar who also receives a little morning treat. Outside in the garden, there is a large fenced exercise area to help keep your dog safe. A great place for a short break and we always look forward to returning. Dogs are not permitted in some of the rooms and so if you are traveling with a dog it is worth checking with the hotel as to which rooms you can book.

By far the best hotel on a week long tour of Hampshire/Dorset/Devon. We stayed in a variety of places (including a huge and quite fabulous High-Victorian mansion in the New Forest) but The Dower House was far and away the nicest hotel in every way. Spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms, everything immaculate, wonderfully helpful, friendly hosts. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The location is very good, being just a 10 min drive to Lyme Regis centre, with a very good car park as you enter the town, free after 6pm! Good restaurants, some of vehicular close on Sunday. Rooms very comfortable and a very warm welcome with a hearty breakfast

Neil & Rosemary were very friendly and lovely when we arrived and during our stay. Our room was as excellent with a large bed, bath in the room and TV, etc. The lounge where the bar is was lovely and breakfast was all local. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard double (peek )room in July .The room was very nice with a large bathroom with quality fitments, including a rainfall shower.The breakfast was very good and cooked to order.There is no restaurant for evening meals but this is not a problem as the hosts recommended the ship inn not far away.A family run restaurant where we dined twice .The hosts are super friendly ( I haven’t been hugged leaving a hotel before) and I’m sure they would accommodate any reasonable request you may have .We didn’t get to use he outside pool due to the weather which was the only downer on an enjoyable stay

Excellent location, only a few mins from the town. Beautiful views and a stunning hotel both inside and out and our room had a huge comfy bed (we needed a step ladder) and a bathtub you could relax and immerse yourself in. Great staff, so helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful short break. We will definitely be back. Thank you :)

Great staffs, gorgeous and clean room, fantastic breakfast, everything was perfect. There’s no restaurant for dinner but you can deliver or take out some and have it in the bar and they will offer some cutlary and plates.

Neil & Rosemary were very friendly and lovely when we arrived and during our stay. Our room was as excellent with a large bed, bath in the room and TV, etc. The lounge where the bar is was lovely and breakfast was all local. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room is spacious, clean with tasteful decorations. My son especially loves the heated swimming pool. Staff are very helpful and offered to open the pool earlier and offered to late check out so that he can have a swim before we left.

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard double (peek )room in July .The room was very nice with a large bathroom with quality fitments, including a rainfall shower.The breakfast was very good and cooked to order.There is no restaurant for evening meals but this is not a problem as the hosts recommended the ship inn not far away.A family run restaurant where we dined twice .The hosts are super friendly ( I haven’t been hugged leaving a hotel before) and I’m sure they would accommodate any reasonable request you may have .We didn’t get to use he outside pool due to the weather which was the only downer on an enjoyable stay

The building and grounds were clean and comfortable. The room: Our family of five stayed together in one large room at a reasonable price. Food: We got takeout for dinner and a.nd ate it on the back deck. The property has a bar, so we were able to buy a beer and wine to enjoy with dinner and by the pool. By far the best hotel on a week long tour of Hampshire/Dorset/Devon. We stayed in a variety of places (including a huge and quite fabulous High-Victorian mansion in the New Forest) but The Dower House was far and away the nicest hotel in every way. Spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms, everything immaculate, wonderfully helpful, friendly hosts. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The owner Neil was friendly and welcoming on our arrival. The bar area has modern funky furniture and plenty of bright colours. We would like to go back. Rosemary was friendly and chatty when we left. Thank you both

A warm welcome from the owners at the Dower House. What a lovely stay we had. Such a lovely hotel and grounds, with an outdoor pool too. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, with a comfortable bed,. A quiet location but only 2 miles into Lyme Regis. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

The location is very good, being just a 10 min drive to Lyme Regis centre, with a very good car park as you enter the town, free after 6pm! Good restaurants, some of vehicular close on Sunday. Rooms very comfortable and a very warm welcome with a hearty breakfast

Lovely stay. Some rogue decor, but overall nice hotel and stay. Nice host. You need a car if you’re going to stay here because there’s nothing around.

Dower House hotel is a wonderful retreat Just a short distance from Lyme Regis, the hotel in general and our room in particular were decorated to a very high standard The hotel was spotlessly clean and breakfast was superb The hotel sits in a lovely garden with a pool and great views across the rolling hillside Neil and Rosemarie were fantastic hosts and we look forward to staying with them again soon

A very nice small hotel full of character and in a beautiful setting and convenient to lyme regis. See and countryside views from the room. Lovely gardens. Friendly owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we had eventing we needed... the owners checked in with us at breakfast each morning. The 3 course table service breakfast was selectable from a menu. Classy but not pretentious.

Excellent location, only a few mins from the town. Beautiful views and a stunning hotel both inside and out and our room had a huge comfy bed (we needed a step ladder) and a bathtub you could relax and immerse yourself in. Great staff, so helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful short break. We will definitely be back. Thank you :)

Return guests to this friendly hotel in a quiet area five minutes drive from the main town centre. Very comfortable rooms which are all nicely fitted out. We are always made to feel very welcome and our boxer dog even more so. Breakfast is served in a separate dining room or can be taken with your dog in the bar who also receives a little morning treat. Outside in the garden, there is a large fenced exercise area to help keep your dog safe. A great place for a short break and we always look forward to returning. Dogs are not permitted in some of the rooms and so if you are traveling with a dog it is worth checking with the hotel as to which rooms you can book.

Dower House Hotel is one of the most welcoming & accomodating hotels. Makes you wish you could stay longer in super comfortable room & lovely surroundings. They don’t have evening meals but this provides opportunity to explore the selection of eateries in the area.

We had a fantastic few days at Dower House. The rooms are beautiful, the food was outstanding and we couldn’t have been better looked after. We will definitely be back.

The stay was simply perfect. The loction was quiet . The team looking after us were so helpful and attentive. the room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely and cooked yo how we wanted. The staff recommendations were also a hit. will be recommending this to others for sure

Fantastic place to stay, Neil, Rosemarie and all the staff are so welcoming. A good choice and quality of breakfast which was cooked only once you ordered and therefore was lovely and hot (so many hotels end up with warm breakfasts). We have already recommended to several friends!

We have had another fabulous stay at the Dower House Hotel and were looked after by our wonderful hosts Neil and Rosemary and their team. Since our last stay the en-suite shower room in “Peek” has been updated which is very smart. Attention to detail is excellent with many nice little touches and now with the addition of lovely fluffy gowns. The “Devon” breakfast is substantial and made with top quality ingredients. Well done !

The property is very well kept - a lovely building with lots of history. Unfortunately our room was very small (they do have bigger rooms), so small there was not enough room for our suitcases, and no where to sit in the room. There is also no where to put your toiletries - so onto the floor they go. Our room was very hot+++++, we literally were staying in a sauna. They knew we were coming, and they knew that room got hot, It would have been helpful if they had opened the window to let some of that hot air out. When we mentioned we had a very uncomfortable night due to the heat, It also wasn't helpful to be told "lucky you aren't in France" For our second night we were given a fan that improved the room temperature. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck and the beautiful gardens.

Neil and Rosemary are just lovely and they made us feel so welcome. The property is wonderful set in the most beautiful surroundings. Our suite was fabulous and the entire stay was very memorable...and fantastic breakfasts!.. We will be back!
