Hotell med historisk atmosfære, tross fornyelser. Ikke heis, så for de som har vanskelig for å gå i trapper kan det by på utfordringer. Fint rom med gode senger. Kjempegod frokost, men mye hjemmelaget mat.

This is a unique property that is somewhere between a hotel, B&B, and hostel. I found it very peaceful with a beautiful view off of the balcony on the second floor. The staff were great...very friendly and helpful. This hotel also has the best food in the area and a great chef. Seriously, I tried them all. Don't waste your time, just eat at the hotel...where many locals do as well and hang around for a nice drink in the back room, which is very cozy. As for setting expectations, the rooms are as advertised and small on US standards with somewhat thin walls, but are clean and the beds were comfortable. Also, as advertised, there are shared bathrooms similar to a hostel, but I did not find it off putting, clean, and fit well with the historic nature of the inn. What I liked best. I mentioned to the staff that I had planned an early departure for a hike and would miss breakfast. They saw to it a box was set out for me prior to a 4:30 AM departure with a wonderful meal packed so that I got my money's worth and didn't go hungry on my 27km hike that day. That brings me to the area...absolutely stunning beauty in every direction. The hotel is a great option to base yourself from if you are looking to explore and hike the fjords and glacier. You can also head out on a boat, fish, or just do a nice half hour walk past a majestic waterfall and old palace. I also found the town had everything I needed within 100 meters to include grocery store and outdoor adventure store.

Nice old hotel. Exactly met my expectations. Good meal and great breakfast. friendly staff. BUT it can be hard for me to climb stairs..... the stair were a challenge, but I managed. Sound proofing between the rooms could be improved.

Hotellet synger på siste verset. Bad og toalett på gangen hører ikke lenger hjemme på noe som ønsker å kalle seg hotell. Knirkete dører med god gammeldags nøkkel med en svær kladd på. God frokost, med det meste av hva man kan ønske seg, men ikke helt vanlig hotellstandard. Men likevel godt nok, og et meget godt glutenfritt tilbud. Frokostvertinnen var akkurat passe til stede og så til at alt var på plass.

Ett sjarmerende hotell hvis det hadde vært skikkelig operativt- ligger ute for salg og derfor begrenset med faseliteter. Fikk en bedre frokost i en eske . Greit nok det

Enkel innsjekking. Pent og rent rom i 3 etg, med privat bad og terrasse. Veldig gode senger og et godt utvalgt av puter. Enkel, men VELDIG god frokost. Elsket det hjemmelagde syltetøyet og havrekjeksene. Litt skuffet over at det ikke var mulig å spise i restauranten på kvelden, dette burde vært bedre formidlet på hotellets hjemmeside. Ellers veldig fornøyd med oppholdet

Superkoselig og sjarmerende Hotel med hyggelige ansatte. Toalett og dusj på gangen, det fungerte veldig fint. Koselig frokostområde ute i finværet

Det var sopp i servanten i dusjrom. Og vannet rant svakt inne på rommet mitt.

Veldig fint hotell sentralt i Rosendal. Hyggelig eier. Litt strenge frokostansatte, men de lot oss sitte så lenge vi trengte til salutt. Ingen kjøleskap på rommet, men fikk låne på kjøkkenet. Felles bad og toaletter var ikke noe problem. Rent og fint. God frokost og flott utsikt fra rommet.

Typical norway hotel. The owner is very kind, the breakfast is tasty and the rooms are very clean. The bathroom for share was always filled with fresh towels. The street in front of the hotel has low traffic and the cars drive slow because of speedbumps, we did not recognized it.

Hyggelig opphold, mye sjarm, rent og rolig.

Hyggelig hotell, god frokost og hyggelig betjening. Ikke så bra senger. Dusj og toalett på felles gang, men rent og pent. Veldig lytt. Staselig bygg og god beliggenhet.

Vi fikk tildelt et kvistværelse hvor det nesten ikke var mulig å reise seg fra den ene siden av sengen uten å skalle hodet i himlingen. Enhet for overrisling av vann ved branntilløp var svært uheldig plassert, lett å stange opp i. Ingen såpe i dusjen. Ingen lenestoler. Den åpne toalettløsningen falt ikke i vår smak. Romstandarden stod ikke i forhold til prisen.

Hotellet er et gammelt ærverdig bygg som ligger sentralt i Rosendal. Gode senger men wc og dusj er på gangen, det er veldig lytt mellom rommene og spesielt ovenfra. Koselige mindre rom men fortsatt god plass.

Flott gammelt hotel. De fleste gulv og vegger var skjerve, men det var noe av sjarmen. Vi hadde rom uten bad, og det var litt mange som måtte dele på do og dusj. Hotellet var veldig lytt, med mye lyder. Frokosten var over all forventning bra.

Oppholdet var helt ok , men en ting trekker ned. Vi hadde rom 23, og det usedvanlig gulvkaldt. Vi skrudde opp temperaturen, men uten synlig virkning. Ellers var betjeningen hyggelig og imøtekommende

Gammelt og slitt hotell, dårlig seng og at det ikke var toalett og dusj på rommet trekker ned veldig. Det gikk heller ikke å låse døren på fellesbadet. Og veldig lytt mellom rommene

Badet ble svært lite privat da det hadde frostet glassvegger og gliper i døra. Verandaen var et pluss.

Romtemperaturen ar alt for lav

Flott ærverdig hotell sentralt i Rosendal,nyoppussede rom med noen mangler,lite knagger til oppheng av klær, ødelagte gamle stoler. Flotte turområder i nærheten. Vi dro tidlig av gårde avreisedagen, og vi fikk en helt fantastisk frokost boks med oss videre på reisen. Den var helt ubeskivelig :) :) Mange takk

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Turisthotell. Super friendly staff, extremely friend and flexible. They allowed me go check in earlier and even made me a breakfast box to go because I had an early check out. Highly recommended to stay here if you’re in town.

Very great and welcoming staff, they even prepared a little food bundle for me since I was leaving early in the morning for a hike.

The woman who checked us in was excellent. They were very accommodating with our breakfast by packing it to go when we caught the early morning boat to Bergen. However, we left AirPods at the hotel and have had no response in seeing if they could be found and returned. We sent an email to them - no reply. We sent a message through Expedia, but we got no reply. We asked the receptionist at our next hotel to call. She did and spoke to a man who was disinterested, said he would contact us if “someone finds something,” not that he would be proactive and ask. We sent another message through Expedia saying we could send a map where they were pinging. They responded with a number to text to. We texted the map of where it was pinging. No response. Sent another text asking if they had looked. No response. We have tried to contact them for a few days, but still never received an update. The AirPods are still pinging at a building north of the hotel. If they can’t locate them, then that is okay, but they should at least try to find them and communicate with us that they tried and provide an update. We have gotten no further communications from them regarding this matter at all.

Vi elsker å bade, og her har vi en koselig liten strand 250 meter fra hotellet.

Great location for ferry and local bus services. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved the breakfast and home made biscuits! Only downside is I could hear laughter and conversation in nearby rooms at night so something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.

Pretty much your only option if you want to stay in Rosendal. Clean, convenient lot located near the pier.

Var i Rosendal på Kammermusikkfestival, hadde ei overnatting. Den store positive overraskelsen var frukosten. Bordet var klart m rom nr, lyset ble tent da vi kom, og tett etterpå stod tre varme rundstk på bordet. Og den fantastiske hjemmelaga maten! Helt topp👏👏

Frukosten var fräsch, nybakat varmt bröd, egengjord marmelad, äggröra på riktiga ägg vilket uppskattas
