This is such a perfect little place to stay. Everyone was so nice and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good and the night lounge with fresh homemade cookies is such a sweet treat. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property walking distance to Mendocino town right on a cliff over the water. Breakfast is included and it is very very good. High-quality ingredients homemade dishes fresh and some made to order. Back up to Highway one so there’s a little bit of traffic noise. Otherwise it’s very very quiet. Room had everything we needed. Recommend drinking bottled water here. They have a water dispenser in the main house. Not all cottages view the ocean but the dining room does.

It's a really great place with a breathtaking view to the Pacific and cliffs. Happy hour with a glass of wine every day. Homebaked bread and the best pancakes during our stay in USA. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a warm welcome with lots of lovely flowers in the entrance area. Extraordinary!

Loved my stay at the Agate Cove Inn. Check in was smooth and the wine hour was a great addition. The property has a amazing coastal views. I stayed in Moonstone and it was super cozy, especially loved the window seat. Breakfast that is provided is great and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the views.

The property was well kept. Our room had a partial ocean view. It was spacious and had outdoor seating. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the breakfast staff were wonderful! The two of them were the best part of our stay. Stevie is a gem and can really cook. They were both so friendly! While the property is close to town, it's not walkable because of the lack of sidewalks. Not having hotel staff on site is an inconvenience. We realized at about 7 pm that the batteries were out of the tv remote. It's not an emergency, but it's frustrating and inconvenient. There isn't cell service at the hotel and there wasn't a phone in the room so we couldn't make any calls.

Lovely quiet getaway spot - straight shot into Mendocino. Nice breakfast, great cookies. Staff very helpful. Parking could be delineated better. Lots of streaming apps on TV but to use you have to have or set up an account. And remember to logout of your account before departure. Better to have a couple of channels paid for for guests to use than have to go through the complicated sign-in procedure.

I love the Agate Cove Inn. The ocean view is astounding and you can enjoy it in their adirondack chairs or inside on a cold day and look out through their floor to ceiling windows. The breakfasts are included and they are divine, includes a hot dish. All the rooms are separate cottages, very private with an assigned parking spot. It’s close to downtown, my husband walked every day in the morning. Stephanie, the new manager, was nice, professional and had great customer service. My husband and I were there 24 years ago when we were dating and finally went back. It was just as lovely as the first time. And we plan to keep coming back!

Partial ocean view room is quite similar to a room with no view. You get a bear minimal view of the ocean, at least the room which we stayed in.

This Inn has amazing staff, so kind and helpful. Cleaning and room refresh was a bit difficult, had to request daily. Breakfast is amazing- only complaint is that I would love to have fresh fruit salad daily. The views and gardens are beautiful! The rooms a little tired and could use some repairs and refreshing. Beds were ok, new pillows would be a big plus.

This was our first time in Mendocino so our expectations were muted. I found Agate Cove on an online search and decided to book with them. And I’m so pleased to report that I’m so glad I did! The facility, besides the fact that it is ocean front, is immaculate including the rooms and the landscaping. Service was excellent and our room was spacious, clean and had a spectacular view of the grounds and ocean. Definitely going back!!

I love the end! The location for us was fantastic being that we walk quite a bit. The headlands are right out. Your front door and downtown is about .6 miles. The road was kind of tight but made walking doable. The service was great, and the breakfast was great. The view at breakfast can’t be beat. The only disappointment was the bathroom, especially the shower. Way overdue for a makeover. The general manager did tell us they were going to remodel it, but that didn’t do us any good. The fixtures in the shower and the tile in the shower were not up to par in fact a bit disgusting. The fixtures on the shower haven’t been changed since the 40s . Would we come back, probably but not in the topaz room. The room itself was great, but the bathroom and shower left a lot to be desired for that price.

The cabin is comfortable, and clean. I did not like the skylight in our room asI it woke us up early. Breakfast was included in the food was edible. The tables were very sticky. I had a broken juice glass, My husband brought it to the staffs attention and was met with hostility and rudeness. Overall, the price for the cabin, for three nights was over priced.

The rooms were lovely. Unfortunately ours didn’t have a sea view but the view from the breakfast room was second to none. The breakfast was also good. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town but easily manageable. Restaurant recommendations were very good.

Placed at a beautiful spot with an fantastic view over a bay. Nice host and a large room. A bit far from the city centre and road not pleasant to walk along. Webside didn’t say that highway passes just on the other side of fence and currently a major road construction is taking place with a lot of noice as a consequence.

We had the Emerald room and had amazing view of the water. Traffic noise from HWY1 runs right behind hotel so that was a surprise- but overall beautiful view and otherwise quiet property made it worth it. Would stay again

The property was well kept. Our room had a partial ocean view. It was spacious and had outdoor seating. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the breakfast staff were wonderful! The two of them were the best part of our stay. Stevie is a gem and can really cook. They were both so friendly! While the property is close to town, it's not walkable because of the lack of sidewalks. Not having hotel staff on site is an inconvenience. We realized at about 7 pm that the batteries were out of the tv remote. It's not an emergency, but it's frustrating and inconvenient. There isn't cell service at the hotel and there wasn't a phone in the room so we couldn't make any calls.

The cabin is comfortable, and clean. I did not like the skylight in our room asI it woke us up early. Breakfast was included in the food was edible. The tables were very sticky. I had a broken juice glass, My husband brought it to the staffs attention and was met with hostility and rudeness. Overall, the price for the cabin, for three nights was over priced.

Beautiful property walking distance to Mendocino town right on a cliff over the water. Breakfast is included and it is very very good. High-quality ingredients homemade dishes fresh and some made to order. Back up to Highway one so there’s a little bit of traffic noise. Otherwise it’s very very quiet. Room had everything we needed. Recommend drinking bottled water here. They have a water dispenser in the main house. Not all cottages view the ocean but the dining room does.

I love the end! The location for us was fantastic being that we walk quite a bit. The headlands are right out. Your front door and downtown is about .6 miles. The road was kind of tight but made walking doable. The service was great, and the breakfast was great. The view at breakfast can’t be beat. The only disappointment was the bathroom, especially the shower. Way overdue for a makeover. The general manager did tell us they were going to remodel it, but that didn’t do us any good. The fixtures in the shower and the tile in the shower were not up to par in fact a bit disgusting. The fixtures on the shower haven’t been changed since the 40s . Would we come back, probably but not in the topaz room. The room itself was great, but the bathroom and shower left a lot to be desired for that price.

The rooms were lovely. Unfortunately ours didn’t have a sea view but the view from the breakfast room was second to none. The breakfast was also good. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town but easily manageable. Restaurant recommendations were very good.

Placed at a beautiful spot with an fantastic view over a bay. Nice host and a large room. A bit far from the city centre and road not pleasant to walk along. Webside didn’t say that highway passes just on the other side of fence and currently a major road construction is taking place with a lot of noice as a consequence.

We had the Emerald room and had amazing view of the water. Traffic noise from HWY1 runs right behind hotel so that was a surprise- but overall beautiful view and otherwise quiet property made it worth it. Would stay again

I love the Agate Cove Inn. The ocean view is astounding and you can enjoy it in their adirondack chairs or inside on a cold day and look out through their floor to ceiling windows. The breakfasts are included and they are divine, includes a hot dish. All the rooms are separate cottages, very private with an assigned parking spot. It’s close to downtown, my husband walked every day in the morning. Stephanie, the new manager, was nice, professional and had great customer service. My husband and I were there 24 years ago when we were dating and finally went back. It was just as lovely as the first time. And we plan to keep coming back!

This Inn has amazing staff, so kind and helpful. Cleaning and room refresh was a bit difficult, had to request daily. Breakfast is amazing- only complaint is that I would love to have fresh fruit salad daily. The views and gardens are beautiful! The rooms a little tired and could use some repairs and refreshing. Beds were ok, new pillows would be a big plus.

Great Inn consisting of a number of individual “cottage” like rooms. We had a glorious view of the ocean. Good breakfast though some inconsistency in what was offered to who! Would happily stay again.

It's a really great place with a breathtaking view to the Pacific and cliffs. Happy hour with a glass of wine every day. Homebaked bread and the best pancakes during our stay in USA. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a warm welcome with lots of lovely flowers in the entrance area. Extraordinary!

Excellent property if you’re staying in Mendocino. Cute set of cottage rooms, set in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. The staff are sweet and friendly and the breakfast service is fantastic! Feels homemade, and plenty of vegetarian options. There is no full length mirror in the room, but otherwise the stay was great. 5 min drive from downtown, and the views from the breakfast room are breathtaking. I absolutely recommend.
