Chumash Casino Resort

Had a great time. Went to the pool and hot tub.. bad part it closes at 9pm for a 21 and over only pool it should be open later than 9pm.

The staff was very helpful. Liked their service of free valet and charging of EV cars

The hotel is clean and updated. Pool is 21+ I wouldn’t recommend if traveling with children. Booking information does not state pool is 21+.

We stayed here during our road trip up the coast (PCH). Arrival: self parking was very easy, multiple levels with plenty of spots. Just a quick walk to the hotel entrance. There was also free valet parking, but we just self parked. Check in: very smooth; employees are nice and informative Room: clean, well maintained. There were complimentary water bottles, TV was fast and there were decent channels. Casino: Very much like any typical casino. (if you sign up to be a member (free), you get 30$ in credit to use at any of the machines. Overall, it was affordable, only about 30 minutes off the PCH, clean, and nice!

I really liked the on-site EV charging; makes this our now go-to spot for when we travel between NorCal and SoCal, and want a few days break between whichever destination. The staff are simply incredible too. Very nice, helpful and informative. Definitely will be returning, likely many times.

We had a terrific stay at the resort. Staff and valets were professional and friendly. We were visiting friends in Santa Ynez, so we enjoyed that the hotel feels a bit separate from the casino. The lobby was non-smoking, clean, and felt upscale. Our room was terrific. Great bed, extra pillows, black-out drapes and strong water pressure in the shower. I used the fitness center and can highly recommend it. Top notch, clean, new equipment, chilled water in a fridge. A TV to watch and free weights to use. We had breakfast at Eggington's and the meal was great and our waitress (Kathleen) terrific. Only suggestion I'd have is to put mats in the fitness center for abs and stretching. Even if you don't gamble which we did not, the hotel is a great option for visiting the area. Not the cheapest, but we felt we got a lot of comfort, convenience (to the area) and security for the price.

The room was beautiful. The pool area was beautiful. The gym smelled like steel cigarette smoke. It was so bad. We couldn’t even work out in there.

Casino too smoky. I could even smell it in the fitness room. No map of property available to individuals for convenience in finding areas. The property is clean and tidy, but it has no character. Felt too much like a convention center than a resort. The 1c slots are misleading. Know your math before you start. Better off playing Bingo - your money will last longer.

All the staff are friendly and very efficient! The room was so clean and sparkly.

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. However, we experienced issues during our stay on the second floor. Our room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and there was loud music coming from neighboring rooms. Additionally, there seemed to be a lack of enforcement regarding smoking inside, and the hallways were quite noisy due to several intoxicated guests. Unfortunately, these factors have led us to decide not to return to this hotel in the future.

The cleanest hotel room ever.

Staff was friendly at check in and informative. Was able to get us before the check-in time due to an open room. Place clean and welcoming. Room had a great view from the 8th floor. View of hills side and vineyard.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Clean room, elevator, public restrooms, casino, etc…. Stayed here before and would stay again. They also have high security standards.

Chumash exceeded my expectations. I was a little hesitant with reading other reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was exceptionally clean and lovely. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The casino was large and had a lot of options. Although there is smoking permitted, the smoke wasn’t excessive. Dee spent Saturday by the pool and it was great, too. We ate at the sports bar the first night and the staff were a little lackluster as far as interactions. Just not personable or engaging or even a smile, but the food was great. We ate at Willows the second night and although I had put in my reservation that it was my boyfriend’s birthday, outside of checking in, his birthday was never mentioned. We each had a soup and split a steak and the steak was very tough and flavorless. It was cooked perfectly, but it just wasn’t great. I asked for an N.A. margarita and it was basically a glass of ice and lime juice. I asked if they could add some simple syrup and soda water and it was brought back the same. Our server was great and attentive and was definitely the most exceptional staff we experienced. The casino was fun. We were playing video blackjack and with the exception of the music being ridiculously loud, we had a great time. We spent a couple hours each evening playing blackjack and came out even. I found a slot I wanted to play and ended up further ahead than I anticipated; I was pleasantly surprised. Would absolutely stay there again

Nice hotel. Our room was clean. The toilet made loud gurgling sounds for at least one minute after flushing. The AC was very ineffective. Otherwise…all the staff was extremely friendly. The entire hotel was very clean and I appreciated the recycling efforts.

The room was very nice but the bed was awful so hard I would not stay there again for that reason. We are on a 8 day road trip this was the most expensive hotel and the worst bed.

I did not like the mattress it was extremely uncomfortable.

4 starts for us. Our room was on 2nd floor next to the valet parking. And it got too loud at night with cars and people yelling. But other than that. We love our stay

Amazing room, great views, super comfy bed and fun pool hangout!

All of the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Our room was large with a very large bathroom and separate water closet. Very large shower, the towels were high quality and crispy white. The entire hotel was very clean, including our room, and I am extremely picky. The bed was comfy, nothing special. The bathroom lighting was a bit low considering the dark palate of the room, and service was a bit slow in the Eggington restaurant. Overall, the hotel was great and we would stay again, although we prefer to be in Solvang where we can walk to restaurants and tasting rooms.

Nice casino/hotel. Room was really nice and clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows weren't too good for my comfort. Casino had a non smoking area for gambling but you still have to pass through all the smokers to get to it. Price seemed a bit high ($300+ one night). Overall a nice hotel.

Our room had the casino HVAC outside our window running all night with its noise.

Me and a friend of mine went into town for one night as a last-minute trip for a festival. We arrived at the property at 10 AM and they graciously allowed us to do early check in with no extra fee. We were able to go to our event come back enjoy a good dinner. The room was amazing and the staff is always amazing there.

When I check in the front desk didn’t have room for us say I need to wait It’s was past 4:00 pm wait for 15 minutes and she will call me after 20 minutes I went to front desk again She said wait

Had an issue with noise in our unit. Staff was responsive and moved us to another room. Clean and modern rooms. Much better cost than staying in Solvang.

Staff members across the board extremely cordial and helpful. Easy and quick check in process. Room had some issues: TV across from bed didnt work very well (pixilateda lot and no Smart channel capability), light for the full length mirror area didnt work. But overall, enjoyed our stay immensely.

The whole experience was fantastic! Started with a friendly and helpful Bellman, the casino, bathrooms and rooms were always clean and everyone and I mean EVERYONE was so friendly! And a special shout out to Security Matt. He calmed me down and helped find my phone that I had left on a machine. He knew what to say and what to do. Thank you to the employee whom turned it in. It was only gone less than an hour but still….great service. Thank you all!

Staff was AMAZING!

Got different responses from different staff members. Nobody on the same page. Was told I got late checkout when we checked in and walked into my room to housekeeping throwing my stuff away and had to stop her.

The staff was super friendly and we loved that we were able to get food late night at the sports bar. The rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. It was also conveniently located by the wineries in the area. Will stay again when in the area.

Great staff and location.

Enjoyed our stay at Chumash Resort. The convenient location allows you to enjoy all that the area has to offer from the local Santa Ynez wineries to the shopping and eateries in the quaint town of Solvang. I would highly recommend enjoying the spa there.

Close to Museum

We love going to Santa Ynez and the Chumash resort is a great place to stay. We are not gamblers but is a nice and convenient place to stay when we head that way. Staff is very friendly and the new sports bar is excellent as it is separate from the casino so you can actually sit down and watch games on the big screens.

Chumash staff were very accommodating, the rooms felt clean, the restaurant food was great, location was a drive from other activities and towns. Would highly recommend to have a car if staying at this hotel.

The Food at this Casino is Five Star in all areas. The Willows is out of this World but World Class. All foods are available to eat at the Sports Bar also. Overall this is the most relaxing Casinos that I have ever been too!👍

Dining area, the wait was extremely long and they encouraged people to order to go. There was a lot of open tables. Not sure if it was due to staff. This area can definitely improve.

The room was very nice. The dining options were not nice! The “Sports Bar” was a glorified food court and we had to order at a Kiosk! There were only 4 out of 7 Kiosks working, so there was an extremely long line just to order food! We were there for a concert and thought we had plenty of time, but due to this issue as well as not enough bartenders working the bar, we were late to the concert! In my opinion-very poor management of staff and services!

I enjoyed the convenience of everything. I was travelling with my elderly mother who loves to gamble. I left her at the slot machines & went up to rest in the room. I could easily (& quickly) walk down to check on her and then go back to my room. We had dinner at the The Sports Bar. This gave us access to 5 different types of foods. We ordered from 1 server for all 5 foods. Try the PRETZEL! For breakfast the next morning we went downstairs to Eggibgton's. Great meal, no wait! Will do this trip again!

Great hotel recently refurbished. Large rooms & bathroom. Great restaurants available in Casino.

Accommodations were very nice, staff was super friendly and helpful. Only big problem was the casino which we couldn’t really enjoy due to the suffocating smoke. Appreciate the great shower and the 24 hour Starbucks with great snacks. Will definitely stay here again
