This is a fabulous place at the end of the road on Tahiti Iti. Our accommodation had fans and mosquito netting and was open to the elements, but no air conditioning and very limited Wi-Fi access. It offered a wonderful back-to-nature experience, but it is very hot and humid in Tahiti so anyone staying here will want to be comfortable without A/C. I believe other units in the complex do have A/C, and the two pools are lovely and cool. The views are gorgeous and dinner at the restaurant was spectacular.

Logement atypique implanté dans la végétation luxuriante, qui respecte bien l'environnement avec ses matériaux naturels. Le jacuzzi est vraiment un plus, surtout en cas de pluie. L'idéal si vous voulez vous retrouver au plus près de la nature. Petit bémol, il manque une petite cuisine, pas forcément dans le logement mais au moins une cuisine collective car l'endroit est un peu isolé de tout commerce et le restaurant est fermé certains soirs de la semaine. Sinon tout était parfait, joli domaine. Par ailleurs, nous avons très bien mangé au restaurant avec un chef cuisinier très agréable.

Cadre magnifique, Jardins fleuris, originalité des hébergements. Malheureusement le climat très pluvieux limite les possibilités d apprécier les équipements, ainsi que les moustiques. Hormis la fameuse vague Teahupoo il n y a rien a faire. Aucun restaurants, celui de l hôtel ouvre pas tous les jours.

A really beautiful area with natural surroundings. The hut is an open air space that is made of natural wood and makes you feel like you a staying in a tree house. The grounds are gorgeous with 2 pools and a volleyball net.

Great architecture, great site. Very cool look and materials. A must see. Breakfast could be a bit faster (the ladies do their best, maybe it would need a third person to help). Also there is no restaurant available at night in the area. And the lodge’s hotel is closed on monday and Tuesday. So plan it ;-)

A lovely place to stay Rooms are very nice natural design and quite comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent. The grounds are lovely. We only spent 1 night because of our return flight but would stay longer next time just to enjoy Vanira Lodge. If you are going to stay in Teahupo’o this is where I recommend to stay

This is like a hillside garden paradise overlooking Teahupo’o and surrounding ocean. Staff is as accommodating as one can get. They are marvelous. The chef is a young man that cooks excellent meals. The bungalow was immaculately clean and one also feels living in nature. Like high quality glamping but perhaps better. The shampoo and shower gel is divine (Tiare).

This place is very unique and cool to stay at. We stayed in a partially open plan unit, slept under mosquito nets, and the shower and kitchen were open to nature. The views were spectacular. the nature units are not for those timid with little creatures. This felt like ultra luxury glamping, loved it!

The grounds are beautiful and the bungalows are a fun experience but….. understand if you stay here, you will be sleeping with bugs and critters, they are open rooms. The screen around the bed helps. Also, there is no air conditioning. If you book this on Expedia, do not expect to be able to change the dates or rooms. It makes you cancel and rebook, and keep in mind, the room you originally booked will not show up. The Kava room was beautiful. The Ofai room not as much.

We loved our stay at Vanira Lodge. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. We were in Vai Ora and the views were stunning. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on our terrace and having AC in the bedroom. The only thing that might be an issue for some people are the lizards and small worms that share the space. The lizards were on the terrace, but the little worms were in the bedroom. The property lets you know in advance and it didn't bother us, but it's good to be aware before you book. Overall we had a fabulous time and hope to go back!

Becarefull !! All the bungalow don't have the privacy and view excepted ! We stay in the Kava, you are just up the reception/laundry with a view of reception roof (metal tile roof) you feel more on a favela than a hotel, the bungalow do not have any curtain, the terrasse it's 80% of the bungalow all open, so you are the show of the hotel. All people see you eating, coming in/out the bathroom, going to sleep... it's 0% privacy. We feel unconfortable and leave before our check out day with no refund for the left night

Vanira Lodge was a great choice for our last night in French Polynesia after a great trip. It's about a 1 1/2 hour drive from PPT but well worth it. Vanira Lodge was a great choice for our last night in French Polynesia after a great trip. It's about a 1 1/2 hour drive from PPT but well worth it. This is a fabulous place at the end of the road on Tahiti Iti. Our accommodation had fans and mosquito netting and was open to the elements, but no air conditioning and very limited Wi-Fi access. It offered a wonderful back-to-nature experience, but it is very hot and humid in Tahiti so anyone staying here will want to be comfortable without A/C. I believe other units in the complex do have A/C, and the two pools are lovely and cool. The views are gorgeous and dinner at the restaurant was spectacular.

This is a truly eclectic place. Nestled in the side of the mountain with great views over the lagoon, the various buildings are all unique, quirky constructions using local materials. The grounds are luxuriant. Be aware dining options are very limited. On the day we arrived the restaurant was closed and there was nothing else within a 20km drive. You will need a car. Things are very rustic, in keeping with the location - definitely not a luxury option. But in our view, well worth it.

A really beautiful area with natural surroundings. The hut is an open air space that is made of natural wood and makes you feel like you a staying in a tree house. The grounds are gorgeous with 2 pools and a volleyball net.

This is like a hillside garden paradise overlooking Teahupo’o and surrounding ocean. Staff is as accommodating as one can get. They are marvelous. The chef is a young man that cooks excellent meals. The bungalow was immaculately clean and one also feels living in nature. Like high quality glamping but perhaps better. The shampoo and shower gel is divine (Tiare).

Vanira lodge is wonderful, just as described and shown in photos, if not better. We stayed in Lichee. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food was the best we had on both Tahiti and Moorea.

We loved our stay at Vanira Lodge. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. We were in Vai Ora and the views were stunning. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on our terrace and having AC in the bedroom. The only thing that might be an issue for some people are the lizards and small worms that share the space. The lizards were on the terrace, but the little worms were in the bedroom. The property lets you know in advance and it didn't bother us, but it's good to be aware before you book. Overall we had a fabulous time and hope to go back!

Great architecture, great site. Very cool look and materials. A must see. Breakfast could be a bit faster (the ladies do their best, maybe it would need a third person to help). Also there is no restaurant available at night in the area. And the lodge’s hotel is closed on monday and Tuesday. So plan it ;-)

We had a magical stay at Vanira Lodge. We loved the jaw-dropping views from out perch. Some members of the family enjoyed the open-air feel of the bungalow more than others, but the pool was amazing and food at the restaurant was delicious.

Beautiful and unique “hobbit cabins” in far south Tahiti… two warm pools, fish ponds, amazing flowers and foliage, fantastic sunsets, great breakfast. Be aware that the bungalows are open to the elements and there may be a short uphill walk from the parking lot. Nets are provided for the beds and we didn’t have a serious issue with bugs. There are also chickens wandering the grounds, which is fun.

Had an amazing time here! Everyone who worked here was so friendly! They view from our bungalow (Maara) was breathtaking, as was the view from the restaurant. The food and drinks were great, the ground were very nicely manicured and beautiful and the pool was clean and refreshing. Wish we could have stayed here longer! Thanks!!!!

Becarefull !! All the bungalow don't have the privacy and view excepted ! We stay in the Kava, you are just up the reception/laundry with a view of reception roof (metal tile roof) you feel more on a favela than a hotel, the bungalow do not have any curtain, the terrasse it's 80% of the bungalow all open, so you are the show of the hotel. All people see you eating, coming in/out the bathroom, going to sleep... it's 0% privacy. We feel unconfortable and leave before our check out day with no refund for the left night
