Når vi først kom inn, et hyggelig sted; orginal betjening i kombinasjon med nabo hotell. Parkering en dyr affære i parkeringshus et stykke ifra. Svært sentralt hotell i byen. Svært hyggelig familie som driver hotellene.

Great location. Make sure to park outside of the ZTL and get a taxi in. Very easy. It’s difficult to find if you try to drive into the ZTL to drop your bags and the streets are narrow and congested with tourists.

Conveniently located near Il Campo, we were somewhat prepared for the jubilant celebrations which went on until 3am each night. We were okay with this. The hotel itself was very disappointing. The elevator only went part way up to the first floor rooms. We still had to carry our luggage up three more sets of stairs to our room. The door to our bathroom was very noisy and difficult to open. It scraped the floor and required a great deal of force to push it open or closed. Our complaint about this situation was met with a shrug and we were told no other room was available. There was no mini fridge in the room where we could keep cold water. No plastic glasses were provided. We had to ask for these at the desk. There is only sporadic service at the reception desk. The owners of this hotel also own the hotel next door and we had to go in search of someone in the other hotel to check out and call a taxi. The 12 Euro breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. We gave it a pass. This interesting, historic building could have provided a pleasant experience with a little more focus on the upkeep of the rooms and the needs of the guests.

Es hieß, das Hotel Parking und Frühstück habe, aber es gab dort keins der Beiden. Mit den beiden hätte ich schon sehr gerne gerechnet. Die beste und nächste Parkmöglichkeit war bei einem Stadium 12 Minuten (zu Fuß) entfernt. Frühstück wurde auch ohne Vorwarnung gekündigt, und niemand war bei der Rezeption für das Check-Out, sodass man zum Nachbar-Hotel musste für das Check-Out (und dann natürlich mit deren Ansprechperson zurück, um mit Karte zahlen zu können). Der Ansprechpartner des Hotels war aber abends gut zu erreichen und hat sehr bei meiner verspäteten Ankunft und Check-In geholfen, was meine Bewertung um einen Stern erhöht hat. Das Zimmer war bequem genug, und die Klimaanlage war auf jeden Fall für die Jahreszeit ganz nett.

Great location right behind the campo. Good cafes in the area. Historic building. Nice reading room and balcony. Breakfast next door. Needs more storage in room. Perhaps visitors don't stay long in Siena.

The property is very clean, there is a cafe downstairs, and a small cafeteria that opens later in the day also downstairs. However, the beds are very uncomfortable, the bathrooms smell awful, and accessing the property is a nightmare if you are driving. The staff are pleasent, but not helpful. We had a very rough landing and it definitely soured our experience. Siena, however, is a beautiful city. We were attracted to this property because the listing said they had free offsite parking or valet for 30/day. However, when we arrived it was close to close and we were given a rushed street name for where we could get access (for unloading only) and I asked for a whatsapp text that never came for directions. I was traveling with my 2 year old and had some luggage and didn't want to hike through the city with all of our things. The text never came, so in order to avoid the ZTL fines, we parked in a lot outside of town for $35/ night. The lots will give you a discounted rate of $25/ night if you get a QR code proving you are staying in town. So, yeah, free parking turned into 2.5 hours of waiting, searching, and hiking and $50 for 2 nights of parking.

The room is quite small for our group of 3, and no kettle and no refrigerator in the room.There was no elevator, and nobody help us to bring the luggages from the 2nd floor when leaving. The lication is very convenient to the nearby restaurants, main street and sightseeing points

The property is in an amazing location on a small street right next to the main square. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It would be helpful to have a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, a couple of glasses would be useful, too. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. While the hotel itself is quite basic, it’s clean and the location is unbeatable.

The staff is really kind and attentive and the room and the bathroom are absolutely clean and tidy, provided of everything you could need of. I'm definitely satisfied. Staff cortese e molto disponibili nell'aiutarti, la camera e il bagno pulitissimi e dotati di tutto il necessario. Giudizio complessivo davvero ottimo!

Although the younger attendants of the front desk were kind, helpful and friendly, the older lady, (owner maybe) seemed very unhappy, all the time. And asking anything of her seemed like an imposition. The room wasn't very clean. There was small bits on one of the bedside tables and I wiped the top of the shower door before hanging my towel on it. I had to use two Clorox wipes to get it clean. There was only one hook for two towels. The towel heater did not work and the hand towel bar was by the bidet, (obviously it was for that). The bath and hand towels were like large, waffled tea towels in thickness. They dried well enough, but weren't very soft. Also, there no room to put anything like a toothbrush, soaps etc around the sink or in the bathroom in general.The bed side tables were tiny! And one of them had a phone on it, taking up valuable space, and it didn't even work. Not even to call reception. The furniture is old and broken. The breakfast was mediocre but fine. The coffee maker needed to be fixed by the staff twice during the 4 times we had breakfast there. Luckily it was an easy and quick fix, so we did get our cappuccino! It claims to be a three star hotel, but we'd rate it a two star. One last thing, it was very noisy in the room unless the windows were closed. Thankfully the air conditioning worked fine

I would say location is the only good thing about the hotel. The room was very dirty (including the floor which made my socks black) but the worst was this lady which I think was the owner. I went in for breakfast and she started to almost interrogate me because she thought I hadn’t paid for it (which I did). It was a very awkward situation

While my room was fine, the second room’s A/C wasn’t functioning properly making my sister-in-law’s night miserable in the summer heat. The staff was informed of the A/C problem and they shrugged it off stating that it was working (which it clearly wasn’t as the room temp was in the 90s (mid 30s C). The service at check-in was great, they stored our luggage until the rooms were ready and the rooms were very clean.

This hotel's location is amazing. It is essentially carved our ot very old buildings that date back to the glory days of Siena. It is only steps from the town center. The room was fine, Internet was sketchy. Staff hours were limited. But it all worked our and we had a great time.

Inexpensive small hotel in great location for visiting the main sights. Tiny bathroom but serviceable. Main issue was noise at night. Room faced the street and (drunk?) shouting groups passed by until 2 or 3am then delivery trucks began at 7am. Windows closed did not block the sound. Would start again but not on the street side.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is only steps away from the Campo and Duomo and its million restaurants. As to the hotel itself, much is lacking. The “towels” are more like restaurant napkins and tablecloths or tea towels. I was tempted to toss the “towel” on the floor and use the bath mat instead. At least that one was terry cloth. Also, there were no glasses, and no coffee or tea in the room. I have never been in any hotel, no matter how humble, that did not provide glasses (glass or plastic), and 95% provide something for tea and coffee. There is zero counter space in the bathroom for toiletries. On the way out in the morning, we were locked in an interior hallway behind (ironically) a fire door that would not open. I had to call the front desk so someone could come and open that door. Bottom line: if location is all you are looking for, this hotel may suit you, but I feel it should make a few simple adjustments before I would recommend it.

While my room was fine, the second room’s A/C wasn’t functioning properly making my sister-in-law’s night miserable in the summer heat. The staff was informed of the A/C problem and they shrugged it off stating that it was working (which it clearly wasn’t as the room temp was in the 90s (mid 30s C). The service at check-in was great, they stored our luggage until the rooms were ready and the rooms were very clean.

Absolutely amazing location, beautiful hotel with old world charm. The rooms are exactly as described classic/rustic and exceptionally clean. The manager was extremely helpful and welcoming and even let us park the motorbike in his garage for a small fee, which was a massive help.

Conveniently located near Il Campo, we were somewhat prepared for the jubilant celebrations which went on until 3am each night. We were okay with this. The hotel itself was very disappointing. The elevator only went part way up to the first floor rooms. We still had to carry our luggage up three more sets of stairs to our room. The door to our bathroom was very noisy and difficult to open. It scraped the floor and required a great deal of force to push it open or closed. Our complaint about this situation was met with a shrug and we were told no other room was available. There was no mini fridge in the room where we could keep cold water. No plastic glasses were provided. We had to ask for these at the desk. There is only sporadic service at the reception desk. The owners of this hotel also own the hotel next door and we had to go in search of someone in the other hotel to check out and call a taxi. The 12 Euro breakfast was underwhelming to say the least. We gave it a pass. This interesting, historic building could have provided a pleasant experience with a little more focus on the upkeep of the rooms and the needs of the guests.

Siena is hilly but this location makes walking fairly easy. Parking is not available close by so you have to walk a ways up stairs and hills with your bags. Overall a good option for our 2 night stay.

The main thing to note about Etruria was the service and flexibility of the staff - always the most important thing at hotels like this - as our flight was very delayed and so, too, our arrival at the hotel, but staff worked with us to ensure we had keys, directions, wifi, parking, everything we needed despite arriving long after check-in time and when the front desk is typically staffed. The room was nothing spectacular but comfortable and enough, the location exemplary.

I would say location is the only good thing about the hotel. The room was very dirty (including the floor which made my socks black) but the worst was this lady which I think was the owner. I went in for breakfast and she started to almost interrogate me because she thought I hadn’t paid for it (which I did). It was a very awkward situation

This hotel's location is amazing. It is essentially carved our ot very old buildings that date back to the glory days of Siena. It is only steps from the town center. The room was fine, Internet was sketchy. Staff hours were limited. But it all worked our and we had a great time.

Room was great. Bathroom was nice. The location requires a large uphill climb if walking from the train station. The property is in the center of the city with all the great sites and restaurants near by. Would recommend staying here.

Very convenient. A small property and very difficult to follow instructions as to how to drive there. Reception were very helpful in sorting it out. Breakfast in next door hotel but we didnt know , had to find it. Good.

Although the younger attendants of the front desk were kind, helpful and friendly, the older lady, (owner maybe) seemed very unhappy, all the time. And asking anything of her seemed like an imposition. The room wasn't very clean. There was small bits on one of the bedside tables and I wiped the top of the shower door before hanging my towel on it. I had to use two Clorox wipes to get it clean. There was only one hook for two towels. The towel heater did not work and the hand towel bar was by the bidet, (obviously it was for that). The bath and hand towels were like large, waffled tea towels in thickness. They dried well enough, but weren't very soft. Also, there no room to put anything like a toothbrush, soaps etc around the sink or in the bathroom in general.The bed side tables were tiny! And one of them had a phone on it, taking up valuable space, and it didn't even work. Not even to call reception. The furniture is old and broken. The breakfast was mediocre but fine. The coffee maker needed to be fixed by the staff twice during the 4 times we had breakfast there. Luckily it was an easy and quick fix, so we did get our cappuccino! It claims to be a three star hotel, but we'd rate it a two star. One last thing, it was very noisy in the room unless the windows were closed. Thankfully the air conditioning worked fine

The hotel is modest but very charming and authentic. It feels like being part of the Sienese community—like staying in a private home. The hotel is located just two minutes from the Piazza del Campo, on one of the city’s main streets (Banchi di Sotto). Our room faced the street, which naturally puts you right in the thick of things—including two victory parades by the winning *Contrada* (district), complete with drumming troupes, in the middle of the night. We had expected a standard double room but found ourselves in a room with two double beds and a single bed—a bit unusual... The elevator was unique, too—worth the stay all on its own! It doesn't get any closer to authentic Italian daily life than this. Everything moves fast—almost hectically—yet without stress; it is lively, and every moment is savored. If you want to be close to the real Italian lifestyle—if that is exactly why you are visiting the Palio, wanting to immerse yourself in the mysteries of this ancient, living tradition and become part of it alongside the locals—then the Piccolo Etruria is the perfect place for you. If, however, you prefer a generic hotel atmosphere—prioritizing standardized amenities over individuality—you might be better off looking elsewhere. The hotel is modest but very charming and authentic. It feels like being part of the Sienese community—like staying in a private home. The hotel is located just two minutes from the Piazza del Campo, on one of the city’s main streets (Banchi di Sotto). Our room faced the street, which naturally puts you right in the thick of things—including two victory parades by the winning *Contrada* (district), complete with drumming troupes, in the middle of the night. We had expected a standard double room but found ourselves in a room with two double beds and a single bed—a bit unusual... The elevator was unique, too—worth the stay all on its own! It doesn't get any closer to authentic Italian daily life than this. Everything moves fast—almost hectically—yet without stress; it is lively, and every moment is savored. If you want to be close to the real Italian lifestyle—if that is exactly why you are visiting the Palio, wanting to immerse yourself in the mysteries of this ancient, living tradition and become part of it alongside the locals—then the Piccolo Etruria is the perfect place for you. If, however, you prefer a generic hotel atmosphere—prioritizing standardized amenities over individuality—you might be better off looking elsewhere.
